Love a russian, its my go to nogi usually. I like breaking the posture down and pickup a single on near leg as I drive them towards far leg. Can run through to a double or finish a high single. My other fave is turning into a kata guruma when they pressure back in. Great vid!
People underestimate the importance of techniques like these. It's not flashy but it's effective, and because it would be underutilized (especially for my purposes which is MMA) it'd be even more unexpected.
Excellent - more no-gi techniques. Question - someone tries the russian tie on you: how do you break out of it and counterattack? If someone is concentrating on your left arm like that, they must be leaving themselves vulnerable in some way.
Sweep single to the far leg against a 🐠. Correct defense is get inside head position and grab far elbow and square up. Sergei Belaglazov taught me that at a camp.
I practiced greek wrestling i wanted to know if i can mix the side of taisabaki judo with wrestling and the hip throw judo leg takedowns with greek wrestling for mma because in my opinion judo leg takedowns are more efficient because you have a more upright posture so it would be cool mma
