Look up Gene Mills' stuff with the two on one. He was a high level wrestler and used it a decent amount. I love doing the Russian Tie when I wrestled in highschool
Sensei Higashi, I love your content and it has helped me a lot in my BJJ. Both in takedowns as well as scrambles. I am interested in doing some Judo (I actually wanted to do it first) but there are not many schools in my area. We train sometimes using Judo rules after class and it is fun but I have a question for you: as a blue belt, if I found a Judo school would I wear that belt or would I go back to being a fresh white belt? I have no particular issue with being a white belt but I feel like it would be disingenuous due to my couple years of rolling and doing takedowns. Just looking for your advice. - Thank you -
I ‘m a retired judoka, i would tell the sensei at the club that your a BJJ blue belt and ask there opinion. I think wearing a white belt, but letting the others in the club know your BJJ blue belt status would be best, I suspect you wouldn’t be wearing the white very long maybe as short as a few weeks before rising through the grades if the terminology is the same or similar and then there’s the rules of course! Oh and the syllabus.
That one way my old instructor would grab the sleeve then pull you in a circle then do some attacks but it worked for him for some reason he can't explain it lol 😂😆 that's the only thing that sucked I knew I wouldn't get it in a day but where the philosophy and wisdom Shintaro without RU-vid sensei and( real life sensei) for us people seeking help we wouldn't get the extra teachings we need randori is great but the teacher still needs too show the student how too improve we in you too run a dojo in my city do like jigaro send your students here we need you
