Maybe that was her choice. I got my own space & I love it. Besides, that is where my stuff is to get ready to go to work the next day. I got this...without a man to 'ensure my safety'. LOVE my man too.
I totally agree his a throw back. My son would never do that, I'd wallop him if he even thought it was ok for her to go drive alone on a dark road in the early hours
Did that 17 yo girl say, "They heard something on the roof, but just assumed it was a BEAR or a raccoon."?! If you have a bear on your roof, you're in real trouble... or a hobbit.
One night i was walking home myself i was about 18 it was about 2am, i was nearly home and the road i was on was a straight road with three other roads that cut off on the side i was walking on. In front of me was a man walking he was a good bit ahead so i couldn't tell who it was but it's a small town so i thought it was a guy i knew who lived on the street before mine. I seen he stopped walking and as i got closer to him he was just stood there with this odd smile on his face, i stopped dead and stood there looking at him for about one second then ran past him straight home i don't know if he came after me or not as i ran like i have never ran before. I never seen him again and he was not a local man. After that i would try to walk home with a friend.
Het Atef one of my dogs rarely barks because she’s deaf and wouldn’t attack an intruder because she is not aggressive at all not all dogs attack an intruder
And she (I assume it was a she since the burglar was a guy after her things) went naked to her mother's bedroom to check out the noise? And wanted her to turn on the light instead of reaching for it herself?
You instantly know the story is a lie when you hear "I few weeks later I was reading the local newspaper". None reads the newspaper anymore. Especially younger people.
Does it make anyone else sad that we live in a world where we aren't safe in our house or even walking down the street? This is what people have come to? It disgusts me how people can be so evil
Sunset Shimmer Gaming unfortunately it's always been that way. It is really pure luck if these sort of things do not happen to you. Which I personally think is scarier.
You all do realize these stories are from a reddit, they are so exaggerated they don't come close to the original event or they are completely fabricated. That's why the subreddit has a rule about being a skeptic.
My grandmother had a painting in her old house. The painting was of two women next to a piano. One was playing the piano and the other was pointing to the music as if teaching the other woman how to play. When I was young I used to stay over at her place while my parent's were working. I would sleep in the living room where the painting was. At night, if I stared at the painting long enough, the women in the painting would begin to move. The woman playing the piano would begin to play it while the other one would start nodding her head as if to the beat of the music. This didn't seem odd to my young mind as I saw the painting as simply another television that only worked at night and had no sound. I'm now 24 and I talked to my grandmother last night. I asked her if anything odd had ever happened in her house. She told me that the paintings seemed to move at night. She wrote it off as a deteriorating old brain. But I spooked her when I mentioned that I noticed the women in that painting moving at night. She said she'd seen the same thing many times. She still has that painting, but refuses to hang it up. It's wrapped in thick canvas in a locked closet now. She says she'll give it to me if I wish when she passes. I'm not sure if I'll take her up on that offer.
I like the creepy vibes, but the feeling is almost always ruined because I know they're fake/really exaggerated. The true crime videos are way scarier :3
Its about to be 3 am in my country and I was just on reddit. Nut honestly reddit's community is too vast and amazing, addictive. Who else is a frequent reddit user here? hit me up with some good subreddits. Also, I make creepy content on true stories if it interests anyone here, ciao ;)

Are you ever going to bother linking the stories you take from reddit? Because that's what decent content "creators" do. At least give creditto the original author....
Once hen I came home I immediately saw that someone had broken in. I ran upstairs to see if the only valuable thing in our house (my camera) was still there. As I walked up I heard water running in the bathroom and someone stumbling around... I took a paint can off a shelf to use as a weapon and opened the door. The person on the other side pushed it closed. I don't remember what I said, but I talked to him about what he had done and that I was going to call the police. I went outside and called the police while neighbours asked me if I was okay (I still had the paint can in my hand and was looking pale). He had apparently trashed three houses in our street that same day, taken some valuables and then after not finding anything valuable in my mom's house decided to take a shower. He was a brother of someone a few streets over and he was addicted to some hard-drug. His brother came by our house to apologize (he had just moved in and was devastated that he had lost the chance to make a good impression in our neighbourhood). In the end the guy was arrested after a long chase, wearing my biggest sweater, a single womens boot, and my sister's thermo leggings which he had cut open on the bottom to fit his feet through.
I was 18 and had just moved into the pool house in my parent's backyard. It was like a studio apartment with a loft. There was a large pool and basketball court/driveway that separated the houses. It was about midnight and I heard a knock on the door. I was not expecting anyone so I turned all the lights on outside and peeked through the blinds. No one was there. Then I heard knocking on the window in the back of the house. Then as I'm looking out the window into the darkness there was a knock on my front door again. I hadn't put in a landline and my cell was broken. I waited and the only option I had was to get to my parent's house but I would have to run far. I grabbed a butcher knife, peered outside and ran to my parent's house. As I ran on the cement I heard the person running in the grass chasing after me. I heard them gettting closer and closer. Just as I got to the steps I heard him run into something and fall down. The cement and the grass were separated by trees and bushes. I ran up the steps and around the whole porch to the front of the house where I banged on the front door for 5 minutes until my dad let me in. I was terrified. I moved back into my parent's house after that. I never figured out who it was and to this day I still think about it. It terrifies me. I also have other stories where I was at my friends house during a home invasion at 15 and at 17 was attacked by a man I was babysitting for. Now I live a very calm and peaceful life in my twenties lol I already experienced too much terror as it is. I don't need anymore lol
I hope you guys complaining about the “_____ let’s not meet again” probably don’t use Reddit. If you did you’d know that it’s from r/letsnotmeet in which nearly every story ends in that. Your opinion is nearly an infinitesimal fraction of a fraction of the size of a water droplet in an ocean the size of Jupiter.
Hey this reminds me of a time when i was younger when i woke up for some reason and when i look at the tv i saw a reflection of a tall man standing behind me but wasnt my dad because he was way taller than my dad and than the door itself and what makes it scarier is that i used to have a forest right behind my house and this all happened in PR
When I was very young, during middle school, I used to stay at home alone during Saturdays. I was watching television in the living room and all of a sudden I heard footsteps on the roof. I was really afraid, especially because it was in the attic. So, I quickly went outside where I felt safe. I always blamed the cat, but how would a cat make such a noise? And it was in the attic and not at the top of the house.
I feel like these people have never actually been through something scary or don't get out much. None of these stories were anything out of the ordinary. At least where I live, these kind of things happen literally all night, every night that I'm out past like 10pm. But I don't go on reddit to write an essay about every sorta creepy encounter I have
I've realized the last few days, after hearing the use of the term "sitting duck" for the second time in a story, that it seems like nobody knows what this phrase means exactly...
I'm just curious as to why most of these videos you end with "let's not meet again" do you make that up? or is that something that people say to you? it's kinda weird
when i lived in my old house, i was 8 years old and its probably the 2:00 AM and i see this humanoid shadow in the window of the dinner room and well that freaked me out so much that i just go to the bed and sleep without telling anyone, next day a toolbox in the yard dissapered.
Babz yeah, I don't like when narrators read that line, either. I know it's a part of the post they're reading, and from the let's not meet forum, but it's a stupid line. 😒
One time I snuck out to go to a friend at about 3am, it was a full moon so I wasn't to worried, note that I live in a small town in Texas and behind my is all woods. Anyways, I was walking down the street when I look to my left and saw an animal like figure standing near a fire hydrant, I then ran as fast as I could to my friends house not even looking both ways before I crossed the highway, I didn't want to run back home bc the street I live on the street lights don't work, plus it's a dead end. So when I got to my friends I told him what had happened. 6am hit and the sun was up, my dad left to work and my mom was probably asleep, so I made my way home going down the street I saw the creature only to find out it was probably a dear cause there was about 10 near by the street eating and just starring at me. I snuck back into my room and fell asleep, I woke up only to find out that the police has seen me running across the highway. I was told that if they see me out past curfew again that I'd be in jail. So that was the last time I snuck out🤣 Ps. My house is a 2 story and my room was on the second floor and It was really hard to climb up to, so of it was a creature of some sort it would've got me before I got inside
#1... The doors were locked? I am thinking roommate forgot to lock it or it was blocked to keep it from from locking. Paper & a little chewing gum can acheive that.
You ever taken 1100 milligrams of trazadone seraquel drank most of a half gallon of vodka and had a judge pointed to your temple while driving over 90 on a mountain road? It's a good thing I couldn't find my key to unlock the hammer
