What I think happened with Amberskull; I will admit I'm not good at taking deep takes on games, but I think what may have happened is revolving around a test facility. The person has tried to escape but was unable to. The test facility was for games, a fairly standard procedure, but the person you play as had to trap themselves in there to stay safe from something. They continued testing games for whatever reason (potentially because they could stay safe that way?) and made themselves at home. It's fully possible that the games were created through some form of 3d modelling within the facility and things escaped. The games themselves could be a replica of people playing in the game's irl. It's also possible that the glitchy moments were the player remembering when they had to escape them previously.

This is the pinnacle of human evolution, slapping a grain product to keep it heated whilst fending of rabid Italian bears

The scariest part of this game: The fact that some poor soul has the the *_audacity_* to put that little sauce on that much spaghetti, it needs to be a saucy boi!!!

Amberskull is a really cool monster simulator where you have to figure out the mechanics of the bosses while dealing with a small, simple puzzle or task along the way. Yes, it's a small game overall, but boy is it fun, and you can even imagine it might've inspired big games of today like Labyrinthine!

I’m wondering for the bat game every time you take a picture it’s like using film and the film is you frames per second that’s why the frames kept getting worse at times

Mark please wait more than 5 seconds after the yeti walked away. It's a good thing the game is forgiving because in reality if you did that the yeti would come right back. I mean how is the yeti already gone after slowly walking 5 seconds? It needs to be more dangerous and scarier than that.

I think the Amberskull beasts are all based on various myths. Of course, the enemy in Blizzard is a Yeti, and the one in Forest seems to be a Wendigo, bit the other two are a bit more difficult. It's hard to get a good look at the monster from Ocean, but I think it could be based on the Kraken (it *does* seem to have tentacles,) or possibly the Irish legend of the Beisht Kione, and the enemy from Abandoned may be a version of a Vampire, but it seems more like an Ahool. I'm a total geek for mythology and cryptozoology so I really wanted to share!

amberskull is such a cool game project, i love the concept. the monster models and ambience were both amazing.

2 years later and I'm still massively appreciating amberskull. Like jeez thats an amazing game, in my personal opinion, it has a lot of good scares, and a LOT of them too. Watching Mark play the first part made me fall right into that pit.
