i had never related this song to patrochilles tbh, i think it fits perfectly for alexander and hephaestion (who were the biggest fans of achilles and patroclus) and the fact that alexander was king of babylon and died there makes me relate this song the most to them, but now that you mention you have a point bc achilles/patroclus alexander/hephaestion had pretty much similar endings
this is honestly so great for alexander and hephaestion, you're right ab that but i think it'd also fit really well for apollo and hyacinth, his love stories in general are so quick and hard
