It's rare but women will absolutely give compliments to guys they're into and it's an excuse for them to interact with said guy anyway. If you're getting compliments on things like plain looking jewelry and clothes, she's into you.

I get a lot of women who walk up to me to compliment me. However seems more so for validation then to actually to get together.. how do you screen for genuine interest or she’s a time waster?

I don't get compliments often but girls look at me and smile broadly all the time and I get a lot of choosing signals. Pretty much if I go to a bar within 30 - 60 mins or so I'll have women move into my proximity and then bump into me.
