Mexican food is really flexible! Next time you make the fajita recipe try adding oregano and onion powder. If you happen to have a jar of grilled peppers you could also add that. If you add fresh peppers or tomatoes chop them super small. I have a great recipe for taco seasoning if you want, it doesn't have a er chili powder so it's easy to make in Europe too. I make a big batch of this mix and store it in a jar until i need it.

Hi Emily, thank you so much for the inspiration. I bought a gammon joint at the weekend and didn’t want to just roast it. The stew looks great so we’ll have that instead. Today I’ve made spaghetti bolognese and chilli con carne. Both really easy to make in the slow cooker and we’ve made enough to make 1 batch as the filling for lasagne and the chilli will go with jacket potatoes and then taco shells another night. 4 meals sorted for later in the week ✔️ xxx

Hi! This is a really helpful video, Thanks! I love that slow cooker, the browning feature is great!! I’m using my mums old 1970s crockpot slow cooker, it’s still going strong! I’ll be trying the campfire stew and stroganoff. The lasagna looks great but my husband is allergic to a lot of the ingredients unfortunately. Looking forward to more vids! Kiki has grown so much! 😳

Great ideas! Never thought to make a stew with ham! My family's "go-to" dinner in the slow cooker is "crockpot burritos": chicken breast, drained black beans, jar of salsa, (always good to add in other veggies we have leftover in the fridge (i've done finely diced summer squash, zucchini, mushrooms that kind of thing)) then a bunch of cumin, paprika, dash oregano, salt and pepper. Low for 6 or 7 - the chicken shreds up, and we roll up in floor tortillas. Good additional toppings are shredded cheddar and sour cream 😋 👌

I use the slow cooker 2-3 time a week as I’m full time working alongside uni (training to be HV - thanks so much for long ago breastfeeding videos!!) and just don’t have time to cooker proper nourishing, filling meals from scratch every night. I’ve really struggled to find slow cooker meals that aren’t watery. These look pretty thick so will be giving these a go over the next few weeks! Xx

Hi great recipes- I never use my slow cooker but you have inspired me! Love your cooking blogs as you always cook sensible family food with normal ingredients and - that kids will probably or more likely eat ! You are doing so well in your temporary kitchen- I don’t think you need a new kitchen, you can just have an area with your slow cooker , air fryer etc and your good to go! (I’m joking of course!!😂😂)

Hi Emily. I cook a whole chicken in my slow cooker once a week in my slow cooker. No oil just herbs and salt. On high for 4 or 5 hrs.

Some ideas for the slow cooker, I actually thought of some I am so surprised: buffalo chicken (if you like spicy), taco 7 layers "dip", chicken or tuna casserole, and chicken and dumplings (I think you may have already made this one). I don't have exact recipes, but there are so many recipes for each of these when you google them I think you'll be able to find one to your tastes for each of these, I hope this helps, smiles!

Really great recipes! Thanks so much for sharing. I love making Kalua pork in my slow cooker. It comes out soooooo tender and ono (delicious). In Hawaiʻi we say it, “…broke da mouth.” (So good it was to die for) I use liquid smoke to really take it to the next level. I serve it with vegetables and rice, or you can treat it like sloppy joes and make a sandwich out of it. It’s something you can make ahead of time and freeze. I hope that makes life easier for you.

Hi emily i liked the look of all of them i like thr tin soup cos of the simplicity and love creamy recipes with mushrooms .but i love curry .the bean one was yummy but i would have to decrease the spices lol as my partner cant eat spicy foods .i did a lovely easy recipe other day every one liked .it was cubed beef stewing steak.brown meat couple of onions red but white will do i put two oxos squirt of tomato sauce to sweeten and gravy mix with about a pint of liquid then you could obviously put baby potatos in with it small tho and it came out so beefy and tasty i thinkni added bit more water but every one liked it x

Very much enjoyed this video and was particularly impressed by your slow cooker. I do like a digital display plus I thought the more oblong shape was good and it seemed to heat to a good sizzle for browning. I’m looking to replace mine which I bought not realising it had no ‘on’ indicator light …. Raw food at the end of cooking a couple of times. Any details on the slow cooker brand and model would be much appreciated. I’m sure we’ll be needing a reliable model whilst helping with daughter’s house. It’s quite a job having been under probate and empty for two years.

All of these recipes made me hungry lol. If you are looking for winter vegetarian slow cooker meals, try brothy chickpea pasta + garlic bread. I can't link it, but we like Brothy Pasta With Chickpeas from bonappetit. There is also a really good BBC version.

I make a similar chicken stroganoff that my kids even eat too! But since I don’t like using canned soups, I use chicken broth, tomato paste, spices and use cream cheese that melts down and it gives it its creaminess. And def making that enchilada chicken for an easy protein for rice bowls!

Two awesome vegan slow cooker options are the Pumpkin Red Lentil Dahl and Tofu Tikka Masala by the blog/RU-vid Sweet Peas and Saffron. She also has one with quinoa and veggies that's pretty good too. They freeze so well before cooking (for a slow cooker dump meal) and also freeze well after cooking. I often make a double batch of the Dahl, for dinner and lunch and freeze the rest for another quick meal. Jackson might really enjoy it, because they are full of spices! I'm craving some stroganoff now, so that's going on the menu plan for next week😃

Hi Emily. I like to do a slow cooker chicken saag curry and you can search this in Pinterest and a few recipes will pop up for you. I find gammon too salty so I do the campfire stew with chicken instead ☺️

❤️Love the ideas and meal prep/slow cooker videos… but i also find them annoying lol as I feel like my family eat the complete opposite type of foods to your family lol. I eat everything, whereas the rest of my family are a bit more fussy and their fussy demands aren’t the same as each other’s! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
