Mark - I cannot thank you enough. Two years ago friends asked me to marry them and I said I would. I was very excited but also clueless and nervous. I found your channel and have learned so much from you. The ceremony for my friends went great and they were extremely happy with the job I did. Since then I’ve performed two more ceremonies and have my fourth scheduled for later in the spring. I’ve learned so much from you and continue to learn. Thank you for making these videos and helping people like me.

What a great video! The ending is suspiciously awkward at times. This makes so much sense and I'm excited to implement it.

To anyone doing a wedding (especially for the first time). I can tell you that I watched and re-watched every video on the Unboring!Wedding channel and it resulted in a FANTASTIC wedding ceremony. (I could be modest and say it "went well" but everyone from the bride and groom to the parents to the 150 guests repeatedly told me how great the ceremony was.....and I owe the success all to Unboring!Wedding. I've now been asked to do a second one late Summer in North Carolina and have toyed with the idea of making this a second gig in my home area of Colorado Springs. My humble advice is watch these videos!!!!! Thank you Mark for helping me.

Had a disagreement with the planner and the coordinator at rehearsal this morning about the Grand Finale formula. They did not want it done that way....in the end, I got my way. I gave the pep talk to the wedding party, warmed the audience up before the ceremony and big finish with the Finale. Other than forgetting to tell the guests that they could be seated after the bride walked the isle (which i played off with a joke), it went amazing! Everyone loved it and thought I was a professional. After the ceremony, The Bride and Groom told their mom that they were both very nervous but I calmed them right down. Thank you so much for the videos and advice. This was a huge, very formal event and I was able to pull it off because of you!

I just did my first Wedding this weekend and I used the grand finale and it was an absolute success. My niece asked if I would marry her and her fiancé and I have to say it was an absolute honor. I’m the type of person who researches everything and prepares and plans. I have to say when I came across your videos I immediately subscribed to your channel and dug in. I opened up the ceremony and got the attendees involved and excited and then ended with a bang. If anyone is thinking about doing this full time or even just once, Mark has you covered. I can’t thank you enough for the valuable information you so kindly shared on your channel.

I was just asked to officiate my nephew's destination wedding in the Dominican Republic in 5 wks. I'm a comfortable speaker but was lost as to the process. Can't tell you how helpful this is - went from "lost" to being pumped for the event during the ~13 min of this video. Big, big thanks.

Hi Mark! I want to thank you sooo much! My story is similar to John Payer's story, so I'll spare you the repeat words, lol. But this past Wednesday 4/13/22 was my first time officiating a wedding, which happen to be my friends wedding and it went really good thanks to your youtube channel! Appreciate you man!!

Hi Mark! Love your videos and will be following them closely as my first time officiating! In our ceremony planning session, the brides didn't have a ton of wishes when it came to the ceremony, though the one thing that they saw online somewhere and thought was fun was taking a selfie.. Any ideas where that could be incorporated? I've seen couples do it at the beginning when announcing it'll be an unplugged ceremony, "but first let me snap a cheeky selfie". But I was planning on making the unplugged ceremony announcement before the processional, so the brides won't be at the front for the selfie! Maybe I add it in the closing remarks somehow? I'm very cognizant of not wanting to ruin the energy build-up, etc. Would love your thoughts! Thanks so much!

Hey Mel - thanks for watching and for your question! I actually did a very thorough walkthrough on this during a Live video here: ru-vid.com7mSBnSY5sbM?si=i-9UiBDrfnKXu-o7 In a nutshell, I recommend doing it immediately after the processional and when your couple are in front of you... but tease that you're gonna do a "photo moment" in the opening remarks before processional. Hope this can help!

@@unboringwedding Thanks for your reply! I just watched! I think my couple is after just a single selfie that they take (think like ellen at the oscars) as opposed to everyone whipping out their phones to take a selfie with the couple. I'm considering it being just at the very end, after the pronouncement when they get to the end of the aisle, have the planner hand them a phone to snap a selfie (while music is playing and wedding party is starting to exit behind them)

Hi Zanetta! Congrats on your very first wedding and thanks for your question. As someone who myself lives in Canada and helps people who officiate all over the world, I’m not familiar with specific laws everywhere, as I’m sure you can imagine. That said, I find Universal Life Church’s website incredibly helpful for a state by state overview, and so here’s a link that offers pretty straightforward language to marriage laws for officiants in Minnesota: www.themonastery.org/marriage-laws/minnesota.

I saw this happen in the hall near my brother's wedding reception. A female manager was upset with a caterer, who had signed up for a one-person shift. She said she didn't think he could manage the service alone. She was sternly all, "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen. You need someone there to give you instructions and guide you." And then the caterer said, "You know, I'm beginning to see why you work so many wedding receptions." What does his comeback mean? Whats the implied reason?

You had to ruin it all by saying husband and husband. So unnatural and evil . Thumbs down is an understatement
@unboringwedding
@unboringwedding 6 месяцев назад
As someone who has gay friends and always seeks to be a better ally, I wear your "thumbs down" with pride. As someone who wants to see the world rid of discrimination and prejudice, my heart breaks and I hope you change your perspective on what is unnatural and evil as you live out your journey.
