(Patient zero) Noxious Plague is so good. It's almost like an aghs scepter level of buff to the Spell. Meanwhile, the Aghs scepter of Veno is quite underwhelming compared to the previously much loved Poison Nova. It's only good for core Veno but we all know that Veno isn't really an ideal core as he lacks a lot of things that makes a good core (no escape mechanics, not much of an initiator, mediocre range, way too squishy compared to most cores and not much of a hard CC). The shard is much better though as it's a step up of the previous Latent Toxicity effect which is now embedded in Gale to it can effectively affect multiple targets. The main downside of this however, is that Veno no longer have a Linken breaking spell. That being said, His facet upgraded ult syncs so well with Grimstroke's Soulbind.
The new Veno Aghs scepter simply makes it so that the more debuff from Veno that the target has, Veno's normal attack hits much stronger. Basically, you'd need to build up H. Pike(to increase his mediocre range so as to be able to right click more effectively) and a lot of items that apply debuff to enemies to maximize its potential. I think it's a pathetic attempt to make Veno a right clicker when his true strength lies in his ability to provide extra ground vision, apply poison/slows and interupt blink dagger attempts with his wards. His ult is also a valuable team fight spell especially with the new facet upgrading it into something that can be considered as Scepter level.
Venge with Soul Strike won’t miss hitting high ground targets because of the melee component. Had a couple of games with it and it was damn easy to push tier 3 tower lol.
@@PP-ss3zf its an impressive play to pull it off under pressure but not super mechanically hard because of how visually clear scythe is and instant cast time on hex
That Stroke of Fate is a long shot, literally and figuratively. Yes, it's far-reaching, has high potential, but the projectile moves too slowly to be reliable - you know, heroes don't stand still in lane. I think the other facet would get more tangible and consistently uses.
Last night on King Potato's stream we learned that Huskar is completely unaffected by Power Cogs. Best theory is that cogs effects depend on the mana burn, and since Huskar now has no mana, none of the effects trigger. So Huskar just moseys through the gap.
Everyone sleeping on lich facet Growing Cold - it's amazing in early teamfights when you use ult near creeps! Not to mention the extended frost shield for 1. farming stacks mid game and 2. reducing damage on initiators (who will most likely get a kill during the buff => increasing buff time => more likely to escape) It's great in legend 1 bracket anyway
As meme as plague career is, it's A situationally good laning ability if you get to your level 3 with a few stacks on you - no one can ever trade into you. Your do way too much damage but guess what they can't run away because you have gale so your enemy just dies
Support lion with fist is actually Very good, cus now you open with finger, move in to melee hit with your carry and apply the fist debuff, if you die that's fine cus you gain the charge even while dead. Plus you now have your respawn buff ready for the next finger cool down.
Grimstroke was and remains one of the best support and, it was quite interesting to see the new opportunities from his Facet. Nevertheless, less convinced about Venomancer. Was so-so before 7.36. And now, I honestly ask: why do you pick him while you can pick Ancient Apparition (considering the player handles both in a good way). Since 7.36, only losses with Venomancer, only victories with Ancient Apparation, for a "similar" ultimate.
Soul Strike Venge with an orb of venom is amazing in lane and the reduced BAT helps in the late late game too. More damage against cores on Magic Missile feels bad because of BKB
The entire point of picking a hero in the support role is picking a hero that doesnt need gold or items to have impact, if you pick meepo as a support and dont farm you are going to be pathetically weak, and if you farm normally you are going to be griefing your cores. That isnt even mentioning the fact that he is a slow melee hero, which makes stacking/pulling way harder. Dewarding is also going to be way harder as you need to walk up to high ground to deward if wards are there and he has no spells that grant vision so dewarding highground is even harder after already being even harder.
@@ikthranithul6000 You are wrong on many points about Meepo. You clearly don't play the hero. I agree that Meepo without farm is a bit weaker than a true support without farm. But, not necessarily. It all depends on how you play him. Support Meepo relies on poof to deal damage instead of autoattacks (which need items to scale). It deals a lot of damage early if you level it first. Pos 4 Meepo can very easily jungle from level 3-4. Jungle is so big now. It won't grief carries early game, because Meepo can still stack at the same time. Meepo slow?!? Meepo's movement has been nerfed in the very last patch. Before this last partch, Meepo was the absolute fastest hero at 330. But now, at 320, Meepo is still among the top 10% fastest heroes. Stacking is easy. I lane Meepo mid and I can stack at the same time without any problem. And been doing it for years. I really don't see the problem. As a support, I can easily stack 2-3 camps at the same time. For high ground vision, Meepo has Earthbind. It provides vision long enough to take any wards down. 1s vision and 2 Meepos does the trick easy. Yeah, I think you don't play the hero.
Around 9:30 when the plague spreads, looks like instead of spreading from the last mk it gets refreshed and lasts longer before spreading? Wonder how that affects final damage. Looks like on all but that last monkey king they effectively got an extra round of dot damage
they nerfed lion a lot i dont rely on his mana drain anymore playing him, but being allowed to not take the damage is amazing. because eternal shroud always countered lions mana drain
I got cocked by a lion mid yesterday. The carry lifestealer on my team got oneshot through the entire game solo by lion, that felt very stupid 😅 LS didn't buy any strength items though, but i think even if LS had a heart the damage lion did lategame would still fully kill him. He killed him without even having to use stun after the hex 😆
Stroke of fate facet is bad. The vector represents poorly, and the things that are good about it, like hitting multiple camps, or hitting heroes through waves, can be done with the regular stroke, its just harder. But what you lose is the ability to make ink swell much more high skill. Losing skill ceiling for skill floor is bad, even if its more fun. Personally i think io and oracle are the strongest supports of the patch.
I've played a lot of Vengeful Spirit pre and post update, Even as a support I prefer the soul strike talent. I feel like the damage you get on missile is not really good enough. Lets say you cast magic missile on the other teams carry 40 minutes into the game, they have 465 last hits and 30 denies, which you wouldn't even know, that is only 370 extra damage BEFORE factoring in magic resistance, its laughable for a core that late into the game.
My jaw drops whenever they add something to clockwerk he always gets the funnest toys, the new aghs that has one of the coolest concepts in the entire game, the shard that looks goofy as hell and yet it synergizes super well with his kit and now this; I just had huge smile on my face using it in demo and when I pulled it off for first time in game I was laughing frantically as if its my first time playing dota again. This is my opinion on how practical it is, this is coming from a guy who plays offlane in high ancient/low divine unranked pubs so take this with a grain if salt; on level 3 I feel like you always wanna get another point in cogs they are too good to pass up and if you have any hero that can dish out a bit of damage thats a kill or at least you bully enemy out of lane by burning half of their hp and mana. I usually skip flair till my other spells are maxed out. Until lvl 4 I get 2 point in battery and 2 in cogs and if I feel like I'm fighting early I max cogs first, if I'm gonna farm I max battery first. If I'm gonna fight I go phass into drums or bm, if I'm farming I usually rush aghs unless I had a very good lane or they have an annoying hero, then I get orchid instead.
Grim is bad for new players and low mmr because he needs an initiator or core to just baby sit. Also stroke is so bad dmg wise if nothing gets hit but like one hero.
@@d3vilmaycry25to summarize the melee attack effects: -no high ground miss chance -more slow on orb of venom -better bash chance on abyssal -double strike on echo saber You’re still a ranger hero so you get -more range on dragon Lance -less damage block on abyssal
Level 25 grim here. Fine art is an GIGA MEME. There is like 2 scenarios I see it being played one of them is a puck with that curved talent and even then it’s trash! Grims bane was always that the Stun needed a set up stun to fully work, now, I silence slow, then stun on demand reliably. That was always the weakness of the hero but with inkstigate its fixed. Grimstroke spammers like myself will understand this. Fine art is a meme, please pick it in your pubs, make my life easier 😂😂😂
@@idunno4real while i havent tested it yet, i play grim a bit (200+ games, 70% winrate, divine rank), I kinda agree with your comment, BUT, the other guy is right. No rank = no weight to your comment. I have a friend who is level 30 on at least 10 heroes, he's still
i still want the old clock tho. because the new patch clockwerk is pretty hard for a clockwerk spammer who knows only the old patch clockwerk. make a facet that enables the old patch clock please
Divine 3 veno spammer here Last patch i predicted a nerf in deny mechanics and it happened This time, my dose of copium for the veno buff: let plague carrier also grant all damage barrier 😂😂
Had a fine art game as grim when I was up against shadow demon and chaos knight, it's unironally the better option against illusion heavy lineups, you end up having a 5 second cooldown 6-700 damage nuke flinging into their backline repeatedly
10:25 you should be allowed to toggle ability between versions when facets change them. Like Snap should have Scatterblast AND Full Bore in the same skill when that facet is picked.
