Hi, I changed the purge solenoid valve on my engine a few months prior, but I still had a evap code issue. 2-3 months went by and I changed the canister and the purge valve(vent valve) on the canister and the code went away. However, I still get a very rough start after a fill up. Can the new purge solenoid valve on the engine be clogged from not changing my charcoal canister in time?
I did Thank you so much I Have replaced spark plugs, coil packs. Wires fuel injectors, mass airflow sensor 02 sensors. And it was a $30 part d***, I feel stupid.
This is excellent information. My wife has a 2016 Ford Fusion. It's got 18K miles on it. She was given this car when her Grandmother passed last year. Almost immediately after getting it, it began to die every single time one of us got gas. It's still doing it now. Thanks to this informative video, I know how and what to replace to fix the problem. I did the replacement, and just to check, if I take out the old purge valve and the piston and spring from inside fall out the back, was that an indication of a bad valve?
