Hey mate, re: no ability to go back to the home position on the maps - if it's anything like my Subaru, press the Maps button again and it "resets" the map app and takes you back to your current position. Enjoyed the vid btw 🙂

Totally agree with the engine. My friend has the 2020 model with KW upgrade on the engine. He raves about the “heaps” of extra power. But I own a petrol 120 and it leaves the new Prado for dead with engine performance. No petrol variant is a big thumbs down in my opinion as I find diesels so underwhelming & boring to drive. I’ll always only ever own 4wds, but will hold out as long as I possibly can before I have to convert to a diesel because I actually enjoy driving.

You can buy USB ports that fit in one of the blank plugs in the dashboard. Fits neatly and looks factory, they come with a wiring loom to piggy back into the fuse box.

prado comes in a 4.0 v6 in a few region and i think thats a really good engine for the prado

I have a 2020 Prado 3door .. here we only get the 2.7 lts petrol option in the 3door version..very old and good engine, but sooooo underpower for this car.. also in the 3door trim doesn't come with a rear camera, just park sensors..crazy, and it is much more expensive than a full equipped fortuner for example.. Yes, I prefer to pay more for a 3door 4 cyl japanese built prado over an Argentinian made Fortuner...

I have a RAV4. The (same) Infotainment system is rubbish compared to not only my previous '17 Sportage but also my VF Commodore although Mylink didn't have Android auto Apple car play...oh. that's right neither did Toyota till 2020:). Oh and the mirrors don't fold and the seats are uncomfortable. Otherwise it's brilliant...sorta.

It's a mix of cameras and screen are pretty poor in the Prado, when i get my VX in a few weeks I'm going to replace cameras and screen.

Never have used vehicle maps. Google maps far superior, more stable and is more frequently updated.

I find the radar cruise control laughable and prehistoric - if it goes 3 km/h over speed - for example if it's going downhill - it doesn't brake but it sets off a warning alarm that you're going over the set speed. All other cards I've driven with radar cruise just progressively brake - and brake until it's come to a stop if necessary for example if there's a stopped car in front at traffic lights. If there's a stopped car in front, the Prado will brake, and then when it gets to 30 km/hr it beeps and releases the cruise control - to say "sorry mate you're on your own now - good luck". How hard would it be to just get the car to brake properly like other cars do with radar cruise?

Too much plastic that too this old silver color sucks. I think prado must be given a modern driver oriented console design
