That's a beautiful yello/black combo, real nice. I am always taken aback watching you all driving in the UK......feels so dangerous, since we drive on the right in the USA. I kinda like the high seating, I get a good visual feel fro the road ahead. Have to smile about the passengers; never gonna even attempt to put any human in the back unless they are under 5 years old. Yeah, my brakes only squeak when it is below freezing temp outside, funny thing. Especially at 20F and below. I like your videos, so I subscribed. Keep it up!
love the video!! i got my abarth last Jan and from the 3rd day of it i got the same squeaky noise, went to the dealer 5 times and still happening, last time they changed the front pads and still the same issue its its really annoying cz its brand new. So i dont know if it a manufacture error or cz of our dusty weather (Kuwait) and you know the middle east countries are hot and dusty. is there any tips on how to get rid of it?
I really love the genuine and friendly approach you have to making videos. I have subbed! Ooo plus I bought a 595 145 today. Would be cool if we could all do an Abarth meet! Peace
You can fix the indicators with a Stanley knife. I know exactly your thoughts on this, how you go into a roundabout and the indicators cancel themselves. It's the way that the cancelling system has been designed (badly)
A great video good to get an insight into these cars from an actual owner the seat height issues would really annoy me as a tall bloke and as for squeaking brakes on a new car not great have you considered a different brand of brake pads might help
Hello Marco, i can confirm the 1) and 5) inside the car too many plastic surfaces scratch very easily (but price's car is not cheap ! ) . personally i add another thing : record monza sound is very fun when it is cold , when it is warm it loses a big part of its amusing noise (i don't konw if it depends on warming cat (euro 6b) or warming muffler inside monza ) .
ekim andersom do you think it is possibile? On previus version of competizione, there are many video, i did not remember this big difference between cold and warm sound (but i think The exhaust was The same)
Hi Karl, I would like to yes, probably only light mods but not anytime soon as the car is still brand new, if it was a used car I probably would have already.
Italians don't use indicators....hence they don't know how to make them work properly! For the seats, you can get lowering brackets, but you will lose the ability to shuffle back and forth.
nor do the use mirrors, well i don't anyway, i don't care who's behind all i know is they will get a Big eyeful of my abarth arse and those Big, loud exhausts 👍
Cruise control, who uses that outside the US? I'd say just about the last thing you need on a sports car! A settable speed limiter, now that is a useful function, if you value your licence!
Cruise control? Scuffing the back of the seats? Puh-lease! Squeaky brakes yes, but the only real beef I have is with the dreadful turning circle, which largely cancels out the advantages of the compact size in multi-storey car parks, etc. Other than that, pure unalloyed perfection...
True! I'd be complaining about the dreaded Multiair engine technology.... in America, we carry spare engine oil in the trunk just in case. No.... as a matter of principle!
Bob Deans thank you! Interesting point yeah I didn’t think about that. Yeah for such a short car you think it would have a better turning circle, but I can’t say it’s been a major issue for me. London probably would make it more noticeable
Yes when I drop my wife at the station in the Abarth I can't turn around the mini roundabout in one go, but can in my Skoda Superb estate which is massive! But I would rather use the Abarth any day, the Monza exhaust is fantastic Looking forward to the things I love video
the only thing i don't like about my abarth is I haven't owned it long enough, i wish i bought 1 years ago coz what I've been missing, if you nitpick about trivial Little things it ain't half a bad car, the Americans complain it's to small and not roomy inside, well get a tank tank then you'll be fine, it's a Awesome little pocket rocket this side of asuper car at a fraction of the price, many smiles per miles, small is beautiful, small is much fun as I've Always said you haven't lived until you have sn Abarth in your life!
Agree with all your points there. The indicators I found out on AOC forum is due to them still being Original Fiat Panda storks and that did this aswel. Perhaps fiat should change it! Really annoys me too. The brakes seem to get better with time, I've had mine nearly a year and I do detail it a couple of times a month usually so perhaps thats why mine don't really squeak now but when I first got the car it was noticeable. Check out my channel for Cars and Abarth related content :D
oh really thats actually quite interesting that they are still using them, and yeah I heard the brakes tend to improve as the pads wear, as the Brembo brake pads are apparently know for being very dusty therefore causing more squeaky behaviour
Marco Persichillo yeah. I spec’d it with beats speakers, leather seats and tarty wheels. So there wasn’t any group stock to match. Considering getting the dealerships to remove the side badges and boot ‘competizione’ badge. I quite like the clean lines look. Thoughts?
Philippe Thebe Right yeah luckily Abarth managed to find mine from stock just how I wanted it. Interesting I mean it would give more of a stealth look depending on the colour. I personally quite like the side badges but I can see why you might remove the rear badge if you don’t like the type face perhaps. Regardless your still have the door frame badges on the bottom. Are you also considering removing the Abarth vinyl stripe on the sides then? To complete the clean look. I suppose like the Abarth 695 Biposto Record - have a look if you haven’t already
In America, all we do is complain. We were all raised that way as far as I know. Especially about cars! They're all junk. It's just a matter of how much junk.
I dislike the fact that by putting videos with negative titles like this give people that don’t own the car a bad reputation. Here are some Ideas because I’ve seen this in other videos before.☝️ if you don’t like the idea that it says 500 on the dash, then have it removed. I own one and I positively love my car. There are some things that I did not like and yet instead of posting about I just modified. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I believe that If only people will try posting a video that says “THINGS THAT I LOVE ABOUT MY ABARTH” instead of a negative title will give more credit to the car.
