Weistec does nothing. The 5.5 can’t be tuned. At all. You’re getting maybe 20 extra horses. This isn’t the m278 that can be tuned to AMG levels.

How much for the extra power and what drive line modification tune ups? Blessings

Make some custom longtube headers and a tune. You’ll get some decent power. My m273 is pushing around 450 to the crank

I’m debating these 2 cars( 550 Xdrive vs E550) Which would you take? Which is more of a “drivers car”

@@Jawnwickk I would go E550 for sure. X drive is nice if you live in snow and need a year long daily but I would take rwd over anything lol

@@Jawnwickk 550 x drive is more of a drivers car. BMWs are lighter and more nimble. You feel the road more than a merc. I love Mercedes but they’re more about comfort and straight line fast. And the after market for the TT in-line 6 bmw makes the bmw faster.

I have the 2012 TT with MASSIVE gains from Blackboost and Weistec. Limiter removed. I have ZERO complaints and do not share the sentiment about this car. You need to pay to play. Would you buy a Rolls Royce and then complain about a $40,000 part replacement? If you can afford this car then a $1,500 ECU tune should be nothing. I am at 600hp with just a few changes.... You cannot get much out of NA cars - take the S56 in the E92 M3.. there is not a lot you can do aftermarket to really change that car. If you drop $10,000 for a supercharger this M216 is STILL beating that M3 every time. Endless things you can do!! Soft close doors mod (still on my list) Power trunk (still on my list) Power mirrors (still on my list) Illuminated door sills AMG big brake upgrade Apple car play infotainment upgrade Vent retrofit No bodykits?! prior-design.com/tuning/mercedes/e-class/coupe-c207-pd850-black-edition-widebody-kit Upgrade your intercooler Cold spark plugs, ignition coils Put coilovers on the car I am eventually going with a remus race exhaust with deleted resonator Put 10-20k of upgrades into a 2012 and it is better than a F430 AND you don't need to deal with the endless Ferrari maintenance. Sure the Ferrari gets you the looks - but also helps draw the wrong attention would could lead to someone stealing your car. This is a beautiful car that you can do a ton with IF you are willing to spend money AND you have the TT version.

I think the handling is actually fantastic for how heavy the car is! The suspension they manufactured for this model is pretty intricate and well thought out. This has honestly been the most confidence inspiring car I’ve ever driven on a backroad!

@@WyattKendrah I can go with that and I just got tired of the maintenance on the GL450. It sucks to be nickel and dimed by a Mercedes-Benz!

I’m assuming yours doesn’t have the 4 Matic If your intentions are to try a drift? Mine has the 4 Matic and I love it. Power straight to the ground and it moves pretty damn good. Not as beastly as my AMG I had, but still a fun car to drive.

That’s only for the bi turbo model tho, I have the 2011 NA. 2012 and up they switched to turbskies. Unfortunately if you look up the mods renntech has for the NA it’s pretty minimal for hp gains…

Yeah, I have coilovers and strut bars and lower braces on my w207. The weak spot is the roof since all USA w207 cars have a panoramic roof. I wished it was all metal to be honest. Light weight and stronger.

What coilovers your running?

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ bc racing. And yea the pano roof is a real nuisance and it seems every car Mercedes’ made but this one got a warranty repair of their pano.

@@Dnasty1 how well does the BC ride? I thought about getting BC but I didn’t like their factory spring rates. Front not high enough and rear too high. I think it’s 6/15 from factory.

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ The ride is actually better than factory even when I’m pretty low. The only other option for our cars at the time was bilstein but I ended up getting a good deal on the bcs. Now they have a bunch of Chinese companies making them not sure how they ride but look almost identical to the bc.

I heard that cuts off the electronic lsd tho :/ I def don’t want to be driving with an open diff lol

2012 is the earliest year you should be looking at. The 2012 is ENTIRELY different from the 2011 and allows massive upgrades.

Absolutely correct. In the BMW E92s there is a kickback button where you stomp the gas and it auto downchanges to the lowest possible gear. This E550 has it as well as the AMGs

Oof yeah you must have the sedan right? The coupe has different suspension. It comes stock with coilovers

@@WyattKendrah I got the coupe too,, 2011 model with changeable damping front shock and basic shock on the back. I'm just curious if it is because the bad road in NYC or what

@@wentailiu9031 swap for coilovers. Will be cheaper and will handle much better.

I would check out some off the shelf tunes. Most of them should remove the electronic limit

I haven’t had any issues or recalls with mine, what are you worried about?

I just remember some of the older Mercedes would have problems with the air bag’s leaking when they get old. Really just worried if they are expensive to replace

@@zacattack45 Ohhh yeah I’m not too sure. You talking about actual air bags or the air bags in the seats for the adjustments? Because the ones in my seat definitely leak 😂

@@WyattKendrah lol I’m talking about the suspension… mine has option to rain or lower the car and it is all by air bag
