So #4 thing you hate about the X7 is you like the grill but many others don’t? #5 thing you hate about the X7 is that you read it may have reliability problems, which you didn’t experience? Why don’t you simplify and just hate 3 things? At least you can stand behind those.
I mean …really ? You would spend 113k on a battery operated “golf cart” that has no appeal other than fitting in the “ I am so good to the planet” narrative….even though there is nothing green about electric cars
Saw your video and I still bought a new 2022 BMW X7. Best suv my family has ever owned. The ride is unbelievable. Also I can finally talk to my clients on the phone while driving on bluetooth with no road noise in fhe background.
Have this X7 for the last 3 years, never had an issue where light from the crystal shifters reflects into eyes, it is an excellent vehicle and comfortable SUV
Never had issues with crafted clarity on my car either. I would however have some complains: because of the third row amenities(i.e. 3rd row climate controls on the ceiling and cupholders) the cargo area is actually smaller than gls, windows roll down so slowly, CarPlay keeps disconnecting, when you fold down all of the seats front seats move and don't come back, even after you unfold everything back. Bowers & Wilkins system takes a lot of tweaking to sound good, yet mercedes burmeister sound better even from factory. If you don't have executive drive pro suspension it is actually quite stiff. The car won't open exhaust flaps when stationary, even in sport plus. Fuel consumption is nuts and the fuel tank is way to small. However it is a great car driving wise, looks wise, build quality wise.
@@dmitrycarter9795 at least your X7 has vents in the third row. We have an X5 and an X7 and we didn’t realize until after we got the car that it doesn’t have vents in the third row because all the reviews we saw had them but it’s an additional “cold weather package.” Ridiculous a cheaper Volkswagen can come with third row vents standard but BMW can’t give you them in their most expensive SUV. The cup holders back there are also too small and the fuel is horrible at around 15mpg. Sometimes even less. The X5 gets around 21 mpg but it does have the mild hybrid system.
@@whatsgoodmyguy4391 depends on what tires u get. Also get the tire and rim protection so u don’t have to worry about flat tires. You just pay a small amount to replace them. I have the maintenance and extended warranty and never paid a lot of money
Absolutely love our X7. We took delivery in Jan of 2022, fully optioned it out, the m50i version. Cargo space is not a concern for us and we prefer the reduced length, it drives like our X5 before with no noticeable size upgrade. We are in Arizona and don’t have the reflective issue from the crystal but also tinted the windows so that resolves that issue. I hate the new front end they went to so actually think the grill with the laser lights looks really good! The only really gripe we had was tire life on the M50i is terrible and this because they are outfitted with summer traction with low tire tread wear. I think this is common with heavy suvs but we bought new wheels and sized them so we could do a better treat live tire. The tires it came with lasted 7500 miles of moderate driving and the others we were at 18,000 miles with plenty of tire left before my wife ran over a rzr blade or something that tore the tire beyond repair. For those on the fence, x7 is an incredible car. After almost 3 year my wife still is excited with that new car feel every time she gets in the car. It has plenty of power as well and looks so much better than the Tesla so I wouldn’t really compare it to that car especially when one of the gripes was storage for long drives, even the EV crowd doesn’t like the EVs for long travel.
1) I install a Thule Motion XXL roofbox to help with the storage issue. 2) I tinted the window and wear sunglass. The reflection is never an issue for me. 3) I use X7 to carry family to place safely. I don't care about 1000 hp from the Tesla and it is irrelevant for me. 4) I haven't had a single issue in 2 years of my ownership and keep fingers crossed.
Realistically theres only one rival for the X7 - its the Mercedes GLS. Both genuine 7 seat German super luxury vehicles. These huge American 7 seat SUVs- poor interiors, terrible build quality & nowhere near the same level of refinement as a BMW or Mercedes.
1. Buy a roof pod 2. Delete Glass shifter 3. Price is reflective of quality, performance and handling 4. I have had an X7 since July 2019. Not 1 issue 5. Grille is awesome. Maybe you should stick to performance side of vehicles, just saying. Thank goodness you didn't mention MB GLS. Awful car. X7 so so much better than a Lincoln or a Jeep. Not even close.
The “maybe you should stick to performance side of vehicles” is quite a useless and passive aggressive remark. State your opinion without the jab. Ridiculous.
100% agree, I'm looking to buy an X7 in the next few weeks but here in the UK there's a massive shortage of new cars coming in so second hand one prices have gone through the roof.
Model x has 7 seats, model x has more space, model x is so much luxurious for the back seats, like bigger screens heated seat in the 3rd row everything! Haters..
well idk about what you just said. Have X7 buying new one. drove 100000kms with it absolutely no problems at all! NONE! fully loaded price is good, way better than GLS63, not as good as Bentayga but its an amazing car. Lincoln is just a house on wheels, BMW is a sporty SUV dont mix them plz. You need to look after your car tho, I buy new set of tires basically every second season. 2 winters and 2 summers and new summer and winter tires, because for security and gripiness. Overall one of the best SUVs in the market right now for SURE!!!
@@theadventureinsider Oh, my bad. I thought you were talking about the blue tesla you took a ride in last week. I didn't know that the Model X was offered in the plaid model.
Comparing the tesla model x with the x7 , try ot this way imagine they are same in acceleration and power ,you will understand that the tesla stands no chance
@@jrekasie p100d? Love how your comparing an old model to a new model, model x plaid has so much luxury features! Like a big screen in the back unlike bmw small screen and small space..
first of all mclaren is a hypercar and COMPARING TO AN OFFROADER???!!!! WHAT THE HECK??? ITS LIKE ASKING CAN THE MCLAREN CLIMB UP THE ROCKY HILL!!!!! IF YOU COMPARE IT WITH THE Land Rover THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE THIS BMW HAS MORE SPACE WITH 3RD ROW UP
Hi Vehicle Virgins, here is a question for you. What if cars were perfect without a downright, and is always reliable would you buy it and how are they going to look?
I just got the x7 and it’s coming soon and they said that they did a software update to fix the rear camera issue so don’t worry about it they listened to the reviews
What is the real fuel consumption rate for this car, because it is written 19 per gallon inside the city? What are the most common faults in it after 40 thousand miles? Please answer because I am thinking of buying this model from the year 2021. thank you
I have a 2020 x7 and I love the car. It’s comfortable and powerful and have no serious issues in terms of reliability. A few pet peeves/issues during my 3 yrs driving it: 1) It doesn’t have the rotary knob to control the AC. You have to physically press the up or down button to select fan speed and temp. I find it much easier and honestly safer to control it by turning a knob. 2. The parking brake alarm goes off if you drive at high speeds and hit a bump in the road. It’s a harmless alarm and i just keep driving. It goes away once you turn off the engine. 3. I can attest to the glare off the glass shifter and knob. It does make pretty prism rainbows but can be annoying. I just wear sunglasses and it doesn’t bother me.
Honestly, most of these points weren't valid or weren't right, the x7 and BMWs in general are quite reliable and you can not compare the x7 to those cars you mentioned and you mentioned a lot of your opinions too...
I would Rather lease it than buy it then.. since bmw gives you free maintenance for the entire term of the lease (36 months or 36k miles) and warranty is 4yr or 50k. Competitors do not give you free maintenance like mercedes etc..
I drive more cars ...special în Dubai ,but I think you dont know more aboute bmw x7m5.oi....îs better than more cars what you try present I am fum porsche Never în my life I think Bmw make this car X7m5.0i or 745Le xdrive BUSINESS...I understand normal work inginer at Rolls
I bought the X7 M50 and a Model X for the mrs. the Tesla is surprisingly as comfortable as the X7 and we drive it more than the BMW. I’d buy Tesla but want gas car fall back. The X7 armrest heater has failed 2x. The speakers go out sometimes for some reason and the nav screen gets over heated if parked outside for a while in the summer or if I take it to Arizona or Palm Springs. I’ll dump the X7 as soon as warranty is set to expire, the storage sucks and for the crystal shifter… I tinted the sun roof so I have no glare. Also the tires burn out every 9 months so I ripped off the run flats and now should get 2 years at 1/4 the cost
@@mikewade1893 Consumer Reports has a Grand Wagoneer with over 30,000 miles, or are you just full of s#t? Do you even know which model the OP was talking about?
@@mountainhobo my friend works at dodge as well my moms debating between this or a wagoneer he said go x7 since dodge interiors are cheap and tend to fall apart within a year
I had to change my Jeep Grand cherokee L Summit Reserve for this beautiful X7. Too many issues with the Jeep and my service advisor told to avoid the Grand Waggoner because is worst. So far I love my X7.
U r right about price but u can not compare Tesla , Lincon or Lexus Dude. U r talking about Germany car or Italy car always be expense and dream for million people. People buy a damn kia and they love and u talking about silly things. People who buy those kind car don't care .
Dude! How friggin long do you want BMW to stretch the darn thing, 😂! Now the sunlight reflecting off the crystal shifter etc, yeah, a legitimate complaint…
I’ve had my X7 for nearly two years and have not had the least little thing go wrong, unlike the pie e of crap Licks-ass that I had, which started going bad after 3 months!
I have a brand new 2022 X5 with third row seating like the X7. Rear middle row seats are constantly throwing “seat not locked” codes and getting stuck in awkward positions. When this happens the on the driver side middle row seats, front seats automatically slide forward and make the vehicle unusable. Rear right middle seat is jammed up again and dealer cant get to it for 3 weeks. I have heard this happens to the X7 as well.
one thing I hate... my Ascent has just as much room seats up and down and its classified as a mid size suv. My X7 is a great drive and as long as i don't transport more than 5 people, trunk space is not an issue. Then again the Ascent is my daily and workhorse and the X7 is my going out and tennis/golf club car.
I think that it is definitely big enough i just think Americans because me living in Europe i know people that own them they like it because its diferent compared to other things on the road
