I have just recently bought a 2010 Volkswagen R. Line and kove it. I don't have panaeamic roof. But love the black on black learher bucker seats. + its fast as hell.
I have a 2009 VR6 Sport (4Motion, wasn't sold here without it, unless you got a smaller engine). These 4 months with the car have been great! Absolutely LOVE the engine, DSG is fast and the car looks very good. Finnish harsh winters and the frameless windows are a questionable combo, but generally; great car. Very relaxing to drive for a longer period (even though I feel like the car could use some added insulation for road noise dampening). Could use more power, though. It's a heavy car with only 300 HP. It doesn't drink as much fuel as I expected, thanks to DSG and Haldex making the car 4WD only if necessary. My previous car was an Audi A4 with the 3.2 V6. It had less power, less torque, car was also lighter. It still gave me the same fuel economy, about 10 litres/100km. I do miss that permanent Torsen 4WD, but overall... One hell of an upgrade the Passat CC really is.
I've always heard that. But since I got mine I really don't agree. Cosmetic and other OEM parts are high but if you know how to shop and do your own minor maintenance (or at least have a trusted mechanic ) its not much more than anything else I've owned. I think the entire stigma around vws being pricey is from people who just don't take care of them and have to replace major components as a result.
