Kei cars are awesome, a lot roomier than what people would imagine, unless you're going for the Suzuki Capaccino, the Mazda AZ-1 or Honda Beat, most Kei cars of the modern era are actually quite roomy inside. A friend of mine who lives in Japan on a work visa has a newer 2012 Suzuki Wagon RR and, in a video call we had on Discord with our other friends the 6'1" dude hopped in his Wagon RR like it was nothing and had plenty of leg room and head room.
Thanks so much for this! I've just bought a 2003 edition 2nd hand off a friend with the intention of using it as a micro camper! She said she couldn't find a way to sleep in it properly but this video has totally shown you can!!! Thank you! Do you know a way to make room for 2 people to sleep? I was thinking if you pop up the seat to reveal the bucket, you could then lean the passenger seat rest further down making more room for a mattress with the back seats down? What do you reckon? Anyway thanks so much!
Ah thanks for that!! But actually what I meant was that when you lift up the passenger seat to reveal the shopping basket, I think you can then fold the backrest of the passenger seat all the way forward, making it completely flat! So extending a flat surface for a single bed on the passenger side! Can't wait to try it when I pick mine up on the weekend!!
