A good informative video , and would agree with most of it. Previously I had a 492bhp B8.5 S5 running 600nm with the dct. My current B9 RS5 has over 800nm and Audi/Bmw/Mercedes all opted for the ZF gearbox because it can take more torque than the dual clutch. I actually like the ZF as when its mapped the gearbox turns what is already a pretty fast car into a weapon. The fact you can be driving around at 34mph and the car can be in 6th gear. Then when your foots to the floor your at 150+ mph in 6th. Great video keep it up 💯 Also love your steering wheel.👍
Solid video bro idk if I agree if it's the best sounding V6. But it's definitely up there with the best for them. The RS5 is a nice car but I agree it could've been a monster out of the box. B8 RS5 made more power and had a more exciting motor.
Good video summarizing the highs and lows of this car and platform. I absolutely *love* my 2019 RS5 SB, but it definitely isn’t a perfect car. I think you captured the negatives pretty fairly. Another solid video from GRenn 👍
The pops are obnoxious lol. I had a B8.5 and the tune added pops on paddles so at least I could keep them from happening. But it wasn't as bad because on the days I did want he hear the pops I could 😆😆 Thanks for the video. So really from what I've seen tuning is the biggest issue but not a problem on the earlier years. I think they may find more solutions for high power as time goes on. The steering wheel definitely should be the R8 style on all RS models. Brake dust issue, you can change the pads. I don't know why they can't have a better launch. BMW uses the ZF8
Yea the pops only happen when I use the paddles at a certain rpm, normally they aren’t that rowdy lmao , I did it for video purposes. However I’m glad I was apple to give some insight. I Honestly had to fish for issues
