Yeah when the drive and motivations gone the ideas go also. You dont have to have the latest and greatest cars but you definitely got to have A car and got to be dropping videos even if its just walking around a mall or fake car shopping something anything. Life happens though and he's not the only car channel struggling. It wasn't ever a sustainable model anyway because of the cost associated with staying in the game. I looked up to you around the time you got the beast c63s and have been determined to own one myself ever since. I’m now 26 years old young and have a c43, I know, do I even AMG bro? But really I’m starting to become something of myself, and I know I’m bound to make mistakes here along the way it seems we all do. You coming out clear like this is very admirable and I will always continue to support another man’s journey. Most of the comments here have already said enough but just want you to know that you’ve got supporters and fans from day one. You will not have a day 0!
People went away and stopped watching because the channel was repetitive. Get a car, do the exhaust, get a tune that makes pops and get new wheels then film a speeding video. Wash rinse repeat. The videos which are appealing are the ones where does a walk around of the car, takes us on the road for a chat, the camera positioned so we can see Mike and the scenery. The Florida trips were great and so were cars and coffee. There’s no enthusiasm on the channel.
To be honest, your channel has been lousy for a while. Since you got divorced? You make videos infrequently, do the exact same thing to every car. You wrap it, put wheels on it that are too big, loud exhausts and a tune. Same old thing. Lately, it’s been used cars that aren’t yours or review cars from the dealership any of us can go see. Go get a beat up old German car and redo it from the ground up. Your content got old a long time ago and you’ve don’t nothing to change it
I call it the "AutoVlog assembly line." Rims, tint, exhaust, steering wheel. Every car gets that treatment. Then he makes videos on why the car breaks or runs like shit because of those "mods."

Guy is in his mid years, lost a family, moved to a different town, got a new place, and changes overall. Of course, you'll lose motivation and sell things to get some money for the future or other smart investments currently needed. I know you will read this, and I know you're in some kind of depression, but here's my advice: Go to Japan (JDM) or Germany (AMG, M, RS) as visit/vacation, and you can make a hell of contents especially on the German Autobahn, visit Museums, visit the Factory, make promotions for the new car models and get some inspiration back. As someone mentioned, some weekly content would be appreciated, and maybe some new editing. Sell this S65 and take my advice.

Market sucks right now, 6 or 7 figure cars are selling very low or not selling at Barrett’s or Mecum…. Hell the Monterey concourse was a bloodletting on over priced cars…. Things like the Ranger show that it doesn't take fancy expensive cars to make good content people enjoy. Sell that thing and buy some more cheap cars. They don't have to be complete beaters. Maybe buy an older car and make it amazing. That's the real automotive RU-vid people want to watch. Buy old cars, fix them back up to even better than it was new, rinse, and repeat. You have been doing this a long time now. You will get past this and go even further than before.
Yes! Content like the Ranger videos is the way to go! More fun, more stupid, more like in our Range. Just like for an instance! Hoovie bought a bad, beaten Audi TT and that video went extremly well. Keep your head up man, I've been a follower for a while and I'd hate to see this slide continue. Go back to basics, keep yourself busy and KEEP MAKING POSITIVE content. Like others have commented you need to snap out of this funk. I understand the loyalty to your ex as she brought you to America, but that was over a decade ago and you don't owe her anything anymore. A friend of mine is a RU-vidr. Makes 1-2 videos per day and brings in $8,000 to $12,000 per month with a channel of less than 85,000. He said he spends 10+ hours per day doing Youtbe. Planning, filming, editing, etc... its a tough gig. I'm in Marketing and from what I can see you are Not Monetizing your channel to its Maximum potenetial. A good friend of mine went thru a divorce about 2 years ago, he's a wreck. Used to make over $50,000 month now he can barely pay his Rent (ex-wife got the house aling with $1M+). Like my Father used to say "thats the way the ball bounces." Good luck, love the ride.

Price is very optimistic. All of the mods you have made have probably not added any value and may have devalued the car a bit. I know if I was looking, I would not touch an 8 year old German V12 with a tune and exhaust, not to mention the pimp my ride candy red wrap. It is way to boy racer at this point. Also, the used car market is in the toilet right now. 70 is probably more realistic if that.
The wrap isn't bad. Red is a normal mercedes color. This car would only come in black, red or white. The mods, ya, he'll lose on for sure but the color isn't silly. It's normal. I would not buy a black v12 Benz. I would want it red most likely.

Sorry to hear things aren't going as planned and you're forced to sell your car. While I think the wrap is gorgeous, you'll probably get more bites from people that might be interested in an S65 if you remove the wrap to reveal the original paint, imo. I personally would never purchase a wrapped vehicle. The S65 looks fantastic in it's classic Mercedes silver hue and I'd bet many enthusiasts feel the same. Also, I'd put the other wheels you had on there back on. That silver paint and those wheels were seriously on point! Honestly, if I had the extra space for another car and had the extra coin to throw down, I would seriously consider purchasing your car because I fell in love with it when it was silver with the other wheels that were on it. At any rate, good luck and I hope everything falls in line for ya.

What I can tell you as someone who has owned businesses and always been self employed, you have to make sure that you don't sell away your ability to generate content which is what gets you paid. Everybody has hard times, and everybody has to make hard decisions, but not having a car on the channel that people are excited to watch content about means you're in a death spiral. Sell the S65, the content on that is spent anyways, in fact I would sell it and the RS7, but you should put that money into something for the channel...another car that you can create content with. Otherwise you should start looking for a real job.

If you watched his other channel Mike made it clear they were not married he was never on the mortgage. I highly doubt he pays anything for his stepdaughter as her biological father is in her life. When Mike was wanting to move he said they could not move till the kid turned 18teen as that is the arrangement that was made in the divorce.
Dude will get more views if he gets a Ford Mavrick or Ranger and give his perspective. That is what most of us can afford and we can relate to. How many of us can relate to Mercedes 12 cylinder engine.

This S65 attracted me to your channel so I followed. I have this same engine in my Mercedes. I found your car experiences was beneficial especially the reviews and that is what keeps me watching. This car will sell on Bring A Trailer easily for $80k as is. The S65 RU-vid episodes go far to establish credibility at auction.
There is another RU-vid car reviewer that I've followed for years. As there have been more car reviewers his following came to a standstill. He's doing his best to create content but there is so much competition. I wish the best for both of you.

Definitely hurts to have to get rid of a car you love. I still miss cars I’ve sold. But I try to remind myself that at the end of the day, it’s an object and it doesn’t mean anything. It’ll allow you to experience something else at some point. And if you miss it enough, maybe some day you’ll end up with another one I’ve done that too. Life goes on

I'll admit that's a sweet ride, but the new GT 63 SE performance coupe is the better car inside and out, and can be had for around $220K fully loaded, no mods necessary. Hey man I would like to propose an alternative take: by creating a video about the why's you have to sell the car for, you are educating your audience about the times in life when things don't work out and the tough decisions that must be made to come out on top of adverse circumstances. There is nothing wrong with this. People in similar circumstances can benefit from knowing that they don't need to keep avoiding letting go of things they can no longer keep and that it's perfectly acceptable, instead of trying to maintain this image and keep up with the Joneses. Great video (and car)

Sad to see this beauty go. Its why I started following your channel about 6 months ago. On a side note, have you ever considered doing a home network marketing business on the side? Low start up and can earn money quickly with a few hrs a week work. There are several to choose from but most requior pushing overpriced products. Im actually part of a home network marketing busienss that does not push products but offer services people use everyday at a discounted price. Its as simple as does someone want to save on a service they are already using or they just want to stick with what they have. No harrassing people to but stuff they dont want. Hate to see the car go but life happens and at the end of the day it's just a car. Sell and move on as you got to take care of #1 which is you. I do have a suggestion for your channel though. You are currently in the same situation as me. Recently divorced and no kids. Take the time now and travel. You still have the RS7. Since you are full time youtuber, start planning trips throughout the country. And in a sense that is still auto vlogging. Taking the RS7 cross country. Exploring new to you sites, history etc and sharing those adventures on your channel while commenting how your vehicle is holding up on these longer trips. The reliability etc. And in time pick up a true grand touring car and continue the adventures. Or a solid truck / suv and pick up overlanding. There is a lot of things out there to add additional content to the channel. And in between travels still do auto reviews on the latest and greatest vehicles. Good luck to you!
I started following you when you still had the red Ford, here in Europe, that's the Mondeo. Your content, format, and style have always been great so go back to tuning older, more accessible, and exotic cars like you used to. For a start, find and tune the Lancia Thesis, Citroen C6, Maserati Quattroporte, Fiat Stilo Abarth, green VW Coraddo, Ford Focus RS mK1, or mK3, Peugeot RCZ or Alfa Romeo 159 Ti, Giulia V6, etc. Remember how you took off with Ford? Go back to customizing cars that everyone can access and make them better. There's plenty of material to work with, and thank God for that! Mike, I believe in You, Greetings from Croatia ;)

Just sold my C63S coupe, took a serious haircut on cost. Ended up with a 2015 Defender D90, which has been chipped. It is slow, wife hates it, but a laugh to drive and my little boy loves it.
I REALLY wish I had money to buy this exact car. This is LITERALLY my dream car with dream spec, Silver with Red interior and CF trim! God please make me able to buy this car in this life or maybe next one!
