Narcissists are empty shells and they use people to fill their lives up with reflected glory, which projects them as successful, important and worthy of respect. Their exaggerated show of happiness is just a contrived performance. They are happy as long as no one figures out the truth about them and happiest when those who do, are destroyed.
Nelumbo Nucifera perfect comment.... there are.several narcissists in my family..didn't realize there's different types of narcissists in this world..most have illusions of grandeur ..image is everything..they want people to look up to them.. constantly need attention ..obsessed with money.... they are done with you..when you don't feed their ego..people are just tools they use..to get what they want..sadly I've been hurt and broken down by these people..( I don't trust anyone ) experiences have changed me ..now I do ..everything possible to avoid them
True, they have to many options it's unbelievable how you see evil, mean people having social circles and always a partner. Pretending to be decent people with families while bullying and very manipulative. Disgusting. And they are not rarely in leading roles. Well they are represented in all levels and layers of society and life. I've met more including two dangerous violent creeps still here going strong but I felt the torture of insults, emotional manipulation. Family, work, in romantic area. I'm alone and free now although the two friends I connect with also make me wonder at times. Narcissists are also completely blind. I think some know what they are doing and others don't see their own projecting behaviors. Depending on their place in the spectrum.
They get the best fuel supply from tears and begging to understand what's going on. Once I understood this, I quit, I went grey rock and said something like, "well OK" and walked away. Yep and therefore they are harassing positive people with their energetic pollution. Mostly they know everything better while their state in life is worse then yours. Or if their society position is 'better' accordjvg to their materialistic norms, they will abuse it to control and belittle.

Nothing makes them happy. They only experience a sense of satisfaction for a split moment. Money?? Yeah, exactly, and when they get it and go through it like it grows on trees, and the source they usually get it from can't give it, they will move to another source. You are very right. My ex covert narc see me doesn’t have that kind of wealth and money to put on the table, even though I am perfectly fine taking care myself and financially I am fine for myself, that is not what he think good enough for him, he need a woman very rich. So he can lean on her. Even though himself is a PhD , very highly educated and has good income. But with his narcissist disorganized personality, he didn’t accumulate his financial security like other healthy high income man. He has a house for few years and that’s it. If I were at his situation I would now already very well set for myself. Anyway, I see through his thinking, I see through that he is not here to really appreciate a real love, he is here to find a woman so he can feel he is so superior because of her success. Well, we will see how the universe will give to him.
What makes a narcissist happy? When they get you to hate yourself as much as they hate themselves. And believe me, they haven't a shred of self-respect. If they did, they wouldn't be narcissists.
How true they never happy..they act as if they happy but they not..its because of their horrible past..parents who never showed them love..friends who acted as if they loved them but laughed behind their backs..family members who acted as if they cared but took them as baggage...n sad wen they do meet one who really understood them gave them love they get scared ...they dont believe anyone could love them for who they are. I was raised by 2 of them. I am no contact now. Wow! They did a smear campaign on me! This video is spot on for parent narcs too! Life is joyful without narcs but you really have to work hard to get rid of them!
They wont be happy stopping to be a narcissist because that feeling is so ingrained in them they will feel out of place to actually be the opposite of a narc, which is to have and show feelings for others. They are too self absorbed to do that!

I kind of knew through my experiences and observations that these 5 things are what they tend to crave, but I'd never yet put them together and thought about it in this way that these are the things they thrive on and which bring them happiness. Wow! I have been forced to look at my life of service to my parents and the people I did my business for and I thought I was "a very good server" and I tried to be proud of that, but I never got anything out of it. I was deeply unsatisfied but felt stuck there. I was never really thanked or valued, and some time people criticized that I missed something or that my price was too high. I never saw that my life was completely about serving others needs for mere sustenance pay and that nothing was ever about my self. I tried to pretend that a mere Christmas gift amount meant I was special, but I realized that it was a repeat of my lower role with my parents of serving their needs... I wondered how this happened and now I am getting my answers. It is shocking and painful and I am afraid to see the control they have had over me with my people-pleasing and almost begging others who always said "no" to me moving up or having more. Equality and respect was completely out of the question. Even though it was what I was trying to earn, they always said "no" and gave praise to others before me for "but t-kissing".

In my experience, the narcissist doesn't want you to throw the match. They want to win. In a thousand different ways she could have gotten what she wanted from me. But for her, asking was impossible...she had to (metaphorically) beat it out of me.

The behavior you are talking about, describes the woman I know to a tee.. I have noticed some of these behaviors in work place people. I find it hard to believe these people are narcissistic, but you describe them very well and you are a professional. There must be a lot of them in this world.

The only fault I find with this is that you came to me too late! I should have known all this decades ago and instead am learning of the dangers at the age of 67. Very regrettably, the characteristics you describe seem to fit a certain well-known, rich and powerful ethnic minority in the West. They also describe more than the usual proportion of South Asians. By the way, I am a South Asian. :)
A lazy, very comfortable partying lifestyle paid by somebody else ,with a group of "friends" admiring everything he does or says,with an extremely tolerant, attractive crazy sex loving partner who accepts an open relationship on his side but who is faithful and deeply fond of him. I'm writing about a type I happened to deal with, of course.Squaring the circle.
You just described 2 coworkers who were involved with each other at my job and both are narcs! He was the lazy one, partying lifestyle that had to be paid either by her AND others because he seem to be broke (he always called out). She admired him for his portrayal of having money because our job was his 2nd job and he wore name brand clothes, naively tolerant (she didnt know he was narcissistic till later on), crazy sex loving (at and away from the job), both had someone - he had a girlfriend and she have a husband (that she denied and later lied about). She was about 7 years older than him and she just knew she could have him wrapped around her finger (at the beginning he was acting like her trained puppy making sure he dont speak to none of us when she was around) later on down the line I guess he started showing her his narc ways and playing games on her. He had 2 cellphones she knew of only one, he had other engagements he would race out from work to tend to and it wasnt her because the next day she would give him the silent treatment and wont even look his way. THATS when he would loosen up and socialize with the rest of us (at times) making her angry. Both of them are sad, nasty and pitiful.

The scary part is when they don't rest until they see their victims broken. Then they wonder why life goes bad for them later in life they really don't care about their karma huh. Hey Exposing the Narcissist I knew this older woman in her late 40s almost 50 years old. No matter what she's always in some financial difficulty or like she buys a car and a few months later her car got destroyed or taken due to nonpayments. I don't think shes a Narcissist at all but she did always pay me back if I ever loaned her cash. Lets use that lady for example and I'm not saying that nobody doesn't fall on hard times sometimes. But with that example on things always going bad financially is it due to their karma on what they did in life

In other words, all five things means Narcissistic supply. You will suffer more if you do this. On top of this, is just a patch for them, they cannot be ever happy. Give them one mil today and they will be happy for one week. After them they want more. Give them 2 mil and they will be happy for another week. After that they will ask for 4 mil and so on. Only if they will try to make a change they would be happy. This involves to become emphatic, and they cannot do this. So they will be suffering for the rest of their lives

Narcissists are one of the most ungrateful people you will ever find. And most unashamed people on this planet who can go to any extent for their personal desires. Moreover, i found Narcissist women so fast especially in spreading fire and hate and they are full of doubts and can track you each n everywhere. Hope i spread my message to the point

After watching this, I asked myself, why is it, you got the very point of narcissism? It's cos happyness, I mean true lasting happyness is the meaning of life. I'd lost all my narc-trades, only by realization in not being happy that way. I left Europe Narc-Germany, I quit my job as a doctor, chanced people, stoped casual sex, started to care about other people, opened my heart up, became vulnerabel without hate. Realy starting to care about myself, was the way to care about others. Being a narc is the oposite of being happy, it's a adiction to drugs, that ease a pain caused by that very drugs, on and on. After the chance, at the age of 53 Jesus found me in a sunset. It was more real than any talk I ever had before. I went: “Man, you are real! Or am I creasy right now?! He: “That's up to you, asshole!“ I went: “ Where have you've been so long?“ He: “ I was always there, where have you've been so long? Me: “Why didn't I hear you before?“ He: “I didn't like you at all, I don't talk to assholes!“ Me: “You are right! So what do you mean? No contact with assholes?“ He: “Yes, my stupid friend!“ I went: “Jesus, I love you, but you are a fuck'n beta-male, if I was there, I had protected you!“ He: “ I know, that's why I love you, my stupid friend. Hey Clarice, I hope you’re well. Thank you for the information as always. However I have an additional question: Are narcissistic abuse survivors victims of circumstance? Are we innocent bystanders? I Sometimes I have a problem when people say we have to be accountable for the negative outcome of the relationship. These people are fully aware of entering a relationship and tricking their significant others for their sadistic pleasures. I am curious what your opinion is on this matter. God bless.
