I’m so grateful for this video! 🙏🏼I have been fighting to become an injector for the past 7 years. I’ve done injector courses in Asia, practiced in Switzerland 🇨🇭with a doctors permission and special conditions for my “patients”. I just couldn’t wait to finally become “official” . I’ve finally gotten into medical school ! I can agree with all points that have been mentioned in the video! It’s all in point !This video is so on Time! 🙏🏼

@@thefitinjector I'm honestly thinking about just paying for all the training I can and then starting my own business. I have fought for the position as well and I have made an excellent resume and cover letter and its still not working, as a male there are a lot of benefits to hiring me as it is even more female dominated than your usual nursing. There is a certain edge businesses can have by having a male because it attracts male clientele and increases their confidence to discuss aesthetic concerns, and there are many female clients who would be very receptive to inputs and suggestions of a male cosmetic injector. I just say that they will regret not hiring me as I will become their competition instead! (Obviously, not to them directly but internally). Also on another note I got invited in for an interview and told a traineeship position opened up and I was not expected to have any prior experience and she already had access to all my relevant experience and when I was registered, but then she totally back tracked and told me that she was looking for someone with hospital experience and is leaning towards someone with prior cosmetic injector experience. I find it really unprofessional and inconsiderate when they change their mind on what they're looking for after you come in, it's really dishonest. They should be aware of what they're looking for and decide whether your experience is sufficient based on the resume before calling someone in for an interview.

Do you recommend doing the one day training courses on your own, or do you know if employeers will help train nurses as well upon hire! Thanks :)!

Hi Amanda! So exciting! Love that you have started your own education! If you are wanting to work in a clinic as an employee/contractor, I would recommend reaching out to places that you're interested in working with and asking what their requirements are (some places will require you do your own training prior and other places will do on the job training and book/pay for external training as part of the induction process). Looking forward to updates on your journey!

Thank you for your channel! Any advice for someone entering nursing school? I’m 29, and have made the decision to do the RN program this fall. I have worked previously as a makeup artist and beauty advisor, I think this will be the perfect career for me. I’ve also been a nurses aide. It’s like it combines my interests. I guess since I am an older student I am feeling some “imposter syndrome” and doubting my abilities. I feel like I’m too old to start and won’t get chosen for jobs because I’m older. Any advice?

Thank you! Depends on where you are located! Here in Australia you must be a Registered Nurse or Doctor to do cosmetic injectables (or an Enrolled Nurse, however, supervision is required from a RN or DR).

You will need Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance which covers the treatments you will be providing. If you are taking on a commercial lease for your clinic you will be required to have a certain amount of insurance also.

@thefitinjector
@thefitinjector 3 года назад
@@kataleen Yes I know now just hadn’t seen it written as LPN as we have different wording in Australia! So as a LPN works under supervision from a RN you will need to research the scope of practice for your location as it does vary. Usually this means you can train & do injectables but may have difficulty gaining employment as you will require RN or DR supervision, most cosmetic injectors work independently 💉💋
