As a Brit I had a business trip to Virginia, Michigan and Ontario. None of those accents are difficult, but when I found 'Are You Being Served?' on a PBS channel, it was like instant relaxation. And that's not a programme I'm happy to admit watching.

Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you had fun in London. Happy you put the old stereotype about English food to rest, as you said it's a mix of cultures and our national dish is Chicken Tikka Masala. I've lived in London for 20 years and haven't tried half of what you did! There's a lot of cheaper places to stay a little further out. Our public transport in London is excellent so it's easy to get in to central London via bus/train/underground no matter where you are. All the major museums in London are free, so you can plan a day out based around that. A "full English breakfast" isn't to everyone's taste. The black pudding is optional, as is mushrooms and tomato. As long as there's sausage, beans, egg and bacon you're golden. A 'fry up' as it's also called, is better from a dingy little cafe (pronounced caff). They do the best ones for a cheap price. The afternoon tea you had, you had flavoured tea! BIG MISTAKE! Noooooooo! Traditional tea with milk is the way to go! The term 'downtown' is alien to UK. It's not used at all and no one here would have a clue what you mean if you're asking for directions. London is split up in to areas, 'central London', East & West End and you will prob hear "north of the river" or "south of the river". Have to agree though about people being helpful. London is a busy city, we all have somewhere to go and we try to do that as quickly and quietly as possible (which is why it's frowned upon to talk to strangers on the tube). However, if you're in help and ask someone, taking them out of their 'gotta get to my destination' headspace - we will happily help anyone in need. Only thing I like to remind visitors to our city, everyone guarding the palaces and castles are active military, show some respect. Just because they're wearing fancy uniform or on a horse doesn't mean they're in a costume - they're working, show some respect. (Only caveat is the Yeoman Warders at Tower of London, they're all ex-military but are still active protecting the King).

Good advice! I’ve seen videos of tourists around the guards and that’s something we definitely didn’t want to mess with! We saw other comments about the tea and next time we go, we will have the traditional tea! Hopefully it’ll be better lol. Thanks for watching!

Not surprised you didn’t like the mushroom risotto. Most truffle oil made with a synthetic flavour compound with barely any actual truffle in it - and tastes grim. Save your truffle eatng to a trip to Italy where your waiter will grate some shavings from a real truffle onto your pasta - tastes amazing!

You should also try adding grated cheese on top of the beans on toast. Also worth trying grated cheese on toast under a grill (broiler) and then add some Branston pickle or Worcester sauce on top of the melted cheese side. British comfort food. You can probably get the British Heinz beans and Branston pickle online anywhere in the world. I don’t like tea either and I’m British!

For more Harry Potter sights you need to travel out of London. Go to Gloucester Cathedral, Oxford University, Edinburgh, where JK Rowling wrote the book, and take the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig. There you will ride over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct famous from the films. Also Kings Cross station in London has a platform 9¾ where you can take great photos trying to push a luggage trolley through the wall.

16:50. The bridge there is Southwark Bridge not London Bridge. However London Bridge is actually just visible in the shot though. The bridge behind Southwark Bridge is Cannon St railway bridge and behind that in the distance you can just see a bit of London Bridge. Can honestly say that I am not surprised you didn't like the tea. Just by the colour alone, it looks as though you waved the teabag over the water. Tea should be 'seeped' for a few minutes, so the flavour is drawn out. Also, you probably had an Earl Grey breakfast tea and not a proper cuppa. Maybe next time. Just a word of warning, it is not a good idea to shout "Manchester United" in a southern city that has several large football teams of its own. Football supporters are very serious about their club. I am glad you enjoyed your visit to our capital city. Maybe on your next trip you can visit Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, York. Wonderful northern cities with amazing history, good food, great beer and fabulous people. It will also be less expensive. As a tourist, you can purchase a rail card that saves you a lot of money off your rail fare. You can then take in some of Scotland and Wales, too! See you both soon ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

LOL, that accent! Only it wouldn't be Manu, it would be "Chell-see" or any London club. But overall, pretty good! One thing - London doesn't have a "downtown" as American cities do. Or even in a Manhattan sense. It's West End ("town") or The City or Islington but never "downtown". Good vid - I lived there for 45 years, only leaving (retiring) a couple of years ago. Let's compare: If you stay in NYC - you choose Brooklyn for the VIEW of Manhatten, and the cheaper prices.. OR... you stay mid town, to be central and walk to 'most places'.
