Thanks for making this video. It really answered a lot of my questions I had on this device.

I'm absolutely in love with the Radar, it's pretty much the only way I record now. How I have mine set up is I run a tube amp (usually an Epiphone Valve Jr or Bugera G5, I live on cheap gear lol) through a Weber Mini Mass attenuator (still connected to a speaker, but with the attenuation all the way down) and use it as a "load box," since a used one was cheaper than any reactive load box I could find. Then I send the line out from the mini-mass to the radar. My favorite so far has been the "Citrus 4x12" model that came stock, I don't know why, but it just always sounds awesome.

The power amp sim can sound good when you use certain cabs and mics. I am using the 6L6 power amp together with 4x10 Baseman, MD421 and some post EQ to get some great Dimebag Darrell sounds.

Thanks I was interested in this pedal but in all demos I saw the sound had a huge amount of low end and as you said in the video taking the 450hz should work and it the mooer micro dual Cali I wanted like a crunchy sound and not a muddy full of bass and low end with the radar

I would say that the power amp section is more useful for ultra high gain sounds especially if you are using this device to add power amp simulation to a solid state rig. Which brings me to my next point. If you are running this into a cab make sure you turn the cab sim off or it will cover your real cabs sound. The result is not pleasant. But aside from those two things it is an amazing and very useful tool. I used this with a Friedman BE-OD Deluxe Overdrive, a Mooer Baby Bomb, 4x12 Marshall cab with V30s and it sounded fantastic. I had dedicated tube amp snobs ask me where I was hiding my head at lol. It sounded like a real rig next to a stage full of Mesas, Marshalls, and Peaveys. None of my musician buddies could tell it was a fully solid state rig with digital tube PA simulation. My buddy has a VERY expensive Driftwood head and Mesa 4x12. I took this same rig but with a Peavey PA head instead of the Baby Bomb to jam with him at his house. He knows I'm a tube amp guy so he was skeptical to say the least when I started setting it up. The skepticism melted away as we started to jam. It sounded fantastic next to his rig that cost about 6 or 7 times more than this setup. He just kept laughing and shaking his head. "I can't believe that thing sounds so good next to mine" he kept saying. Don't get me wrong, there was a difference in sound but you couldn't really say one was better than the other. They were just a bit different. So anyway, this thing is killer. I highly recommend it. And you can get them for under $100 used.

hello...mine has bad hiss noise when Cab sim ON, and no noise when bypass...tried different solving solutions. Does yours have the same hiss noise?

See, when you use Mooer Radar software and you assign a cabinet to a distortion or high gain channel from your 500X, , if you have a clean tone in the next bank , how do you assign a clean cabinet to that ??? because when I look into the mooer software it is still using the 4X12 that I assigned to the high gain channel ? how do you do it so when you go into the clean bank it also changes on the mooer radar so you have a for example 2x12 cabinet ? greatly appreciate your input folks. cheers.

I’m having issues getting my computers to detect the mooer. Few days back I was able to connect and update the firmware but now it’s not connecting to the computer. I’ve tried different ports on the computers and multiple cables . Any suggestions?

#1 and #3....are the first things you do for ANYTHING. Make sure of latest update. AND Keep things simple...get the best sound at every stage before adding more.
