If you maintain it well, fix inherent issues, and dont abuse it (proper warm up and cool down intervals between start up and hard driving sessions) theres no reason you shouldn’t be able to drive it hard 24/7
I have an 04 g35 and I have to say you are exactly right about how much these cars appreciated. I picked up my car with 37k miles on it in April 2021 and it cost me around $15k. I honestly believe I got a really great deal despite it being $15k because honestly the owner could have easily sold it for $20k+, so I'm really happy with my decision considering that the g35 is literally my dream car.
The g35's instrument cluster can also cause a lot of issues, it was causing issues with a broken gas gauge and even prevented manual mode on my automatic
Man im glad I copped mine 04 g35 when i did. I got it in late august of 2021. It was very well maintained w 109k on it and paid 7500 for it. Its taken awhile to get used to driving a coupe since ive always drove sedans but hands down this is my favorite car that ive ever owned and I dont plan on selling it
I got one for below 2500 no coolant no oil change bad tires bad maintained 130k gonna fix her up and sell it clean and make a flip but these cars are fast in manual mod straight pipe em shifts sound so good
just got mine in April for 5k with a little less than 138,000 miles now I’m nearing 141,000. this car is fr a dream and it’s still stock. can’t wait to do a lot more to it in the future.
Great information 👍 all valid points! I have a 2006 that didn't come with Brembo, and I was a lil bummed out. But after talking to other G owners, I was blown away by how fast the brake dust builds up on their wheels, and inside, back of barrel on the wheel. I may be ok with the non- Brembo kit now 😁
honestly as an infiniti owner expect the paint to be bad (might as well wrap it even if to a basic color) and the burning oil is a concern but not a big deal as long as you check it once and a while. Never had any other problems.
I had over 4 g35s , bagged /tuned / rev up / none rev up , my only problem was always the oil consumption , even on a low mileage car . Over all great car , not as fast as we think.
Bought a 04 coupe with 155k miles for 4k needed a radiator support radiator , radiator fan , struts, ignition coils and spark plugs , and a oil change all cheap for a total of about 400 bucks but clean title and in the rare midnight blue
@@mohamadervin8313 it’s called a motor swap if speed is what ur worried about G35 was ahead of its time , lookn better then a lot of those boats 😂 #vqgang
The inflation is likely to keep rising. We're seeing the highest inflation jump in wholesale markets that we've ever seen. Gas prices are going to reach record numbers this summer. Voting has consequences. Edit: good video. I had no idea about our fuel sensor being shit. Wondered why it was doing that. Thanks!
There’s a 2004 g35 on sale for 6.5k and has 103k miles you think I should go for it? Or try to lower the price? Is 6.5 a decent amount for it and he said he bought new parts like battery, starter, radiator.
If you can afford $2k-$3k of potential safe maintenance bushings, clutch and fly wheel, control arms, fluid flush and changes, brakes, tires, etc then for sure bc that 90k miles mark a lot of the mentioned above and some more maintenance will be due soon. Thank you for your support!
should i worry? I recently put 1 inch spacers on my 06 g35 coupe .. I used hubcentric spacers with a hub ring for each rim .. I also used loctite for the spacers to my hub. but my mechanic used impact wrench to torque instead of regular torque wrench.. Should i worry? ( been driving ok so far)
single turbo g35 here. i have half inch spacers and been running them NA and on FI, put them in once and tightened them hard af, haven’t had a problem with them in over a year, Z1 spacers for the brand and you really can’t mess up with them.
@@speedracer2831 I have 25mm (1 inch spacers) I installed them correctly now and they have been holding up great! I drove 100mph and have traveled atleast 200 miles with them on so far. Also, you may need alignment before or after.
Infiniti quality is nose diving FAST!...2L turbo engines...CVT transmissions...everything model looks the same now. If you have a G35, and FX35, HOLD ON TO THEM!, and maintain them!...The G and FXs are shooting up in value, and rightfully so. Fantastic cars. Terrible shame about the bubbling dash on 1st Gen FX35 tho
I found a 03 g35 sport coupe for 2600 on fb marketplace it’s an automatic drive good it just has a few rust spots and over 200,000 miles should I get it or save my money??
I just bought 1 for 2600 with 158k but I’m not buying it to beat it or race I just need a car to get to work and i make good money to invest in it. Did I fuck up ?
The car is a good car for who ever knows a little bit of mechanic work, that is why is appreciating. But will it give you issues if you bought an abused car, that is why it will be hard to pic a good kept car because who ever had it, put aftermarket stuff and ran it hard. It's not expensive to own we aftermarket parts, but the infinity dealer are butchers with their part prices.
@@theg35channel my thing is not having a ton of money right now, so spending less on a sedan now rather than fighting and paying a ton for a coupe later
I’m picking up my first 03 g35 coupe for $11,700 tmrw. Was wondering if you guys could give me any tips if it’s a good deal or if I should try and bargain. Car has 128k miles, no salvage title and was properly taken care of.
A bent up frame , that's a low price its prolly an automatic. But if ur a true tuner she will clean up nice , start with the suspension up front brand new oem components and wheel bearings all around . Oh yeah ur gonna freak out how much of a race platform it is so good luck 👍
I have a 2000 Lexus LS400with 133k but I found a 04 g35 coupe with 180k miles and the paints a bit better than my ls should I trade?? the guy’s interested
For whatever reason G35s have never done it for me. They look dated yet not really "classic" they are more of an in-between, not one or the other idk man. And to find one that still has the original exhaust oh boy...
Yo man, I’m about to get my first car , I found a 2003 g35 coupe with 8.3k miles, for 19k but I’m gonna try to negotiate it down to like 16 hopefully. You think it’s worth that amount? I plan to tune it out for the future. Just wanna know if it’s a generally reliable car.
@@VelaNovaBlaze nah , i was too late on it, I ended up finding and buying a 2011 Genesis coupe 3.8, don’t know which is better but all I know is this Genesis is a beast. I love this car so much already🤣
You need better pads bro its not the brembos yes they will wear a little faster maybe but you need ceramic pads. Go to oreillys and get their brakebest select ceramic its a brown and gold box I have them on my Q50S with akebonos and my Armada and G35 and they are amazing pads with lifetime warranty and not too expensive.
I used to want a g35 coupe when I was 18 but I’m 24 now and bought a turbo car instead because it seems like the g35 is the choice of high school kids everywhere making it less cool every time I see a g35 now it’s clapped out and straight pipped used to love the sound of the vq but know it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth after I smoke them with my turbo s60 T5 the looks on the drivers faces as I beat them in a Volvo is priceless
@@Whyteeford stock for stock is not important to me tuning potential does and my Volvo with a intake tune and exhaust kills a lot of other cars out there everyday with very little money spent. And it was already pretty quick stock but I got bored so yeah
i have a g35 rn automatic tho but my first car was a manual it’s honestly not that hard once u get the hang of it. I personality think it depends on ur patience
Yooo!! You got a great deal. Hope it's in good shape. Either way, if you gotta put some bread into it, won't be bad, cuz you got a good low price. I get offers around $15k for mine all the time.
@@Longshlongjon22 gotta love people like you, making a comment, with zero information to back your claim, and to top it off, would say some nonsense like that, and you literally have a G35 as well. I'm glad your selling yours, ....LMAO 😒
More regular de engines blow up then rev up engines… and every car is different.. your Oil consumption is piston rings… not pcv valve or catch can related.. that shit isn’t gonna fix jack… rev ups have oil pump that circulates oil to the top end up to redline… this regular de only circulates upto 4000… rev ups are Far superior.. just take care of it.. keep an eye on oil and you’ll never blow It up.
