The bonus of inside out is that it exposes the inner surfaces that collect dead skin cells and sweat to the soap. For the outer surface, you can use a clothes brush after wear to gentle get the days dust off them. If you like to keep dark clothes dark, use a soap like Woolite Dark to avoid brightners.
I've been purchasing all my pants from fast fashion stores for 5 years and they always get stained or didn't look as good as good a month later. I recently went shopping for new clothes and I've bought workwear pants and the quality is overall better, more comfortable for me. This channel is the reason I made the switch, keep it up!
This video was needed Drew, thank you. I totally agree with you. I wash only if necessary, whatever it is a pair of pants, knit, Sweatshirt... Hand-wash are the best for the pieces you care about.
I agree with your points drew but I feel that I’ve managed to prolong the longevity of my jeans by these few tips 1: wash them inside out in cold water 2: minimize wears and save them for those fresh icey fits😮💨 And 3rd and maybe the most important part: to maintain the original fit, AVOID drying them at all costs. Properly air dry them. Like I said before this works for me, nonetheless thanks for the awesome video!
I agree about over washing our garments! hanging and airing the fabric out after each wear makes a big difference - the only exception for me is white clothing, I hate having that yellow staining! But as an office worker, I really don't get THAT dirty on a daily basis...your mileage may vary...haha
Thank you I appreciate this. I'm 39 and I don't know how to do laundry. my mom is a control freak and she would never let me use the washing machine. So you hide my work clothes form here to learn. God bless our crazy moms.
The real reason the level ceo said that is because the build up alone in the jeans would make them rip from not cleaning them he wants you to buy more jeans a denim head confirmed this once every 3 months for me personally I would just hand wash them in a bucket
The best thing to with jeans etc fold them put them in a plastic bad and leave them in a freezer for at least 24 hours. This kills bacteria and they stay fresh I learnt that over in the uk and it works......
Two and a half months now I haven't washed four pair of black jeans. Dirt on clothes is dirt on clothes (for 2+ months) I don't see how we get around this. To be honest I'm thinking about changing brands if I can't feel clean. To walk around dirty just to wear Levi's I don't know 😂
honestly i've always thought american eagle made some of the best quality jeans. haven't worn them in years as they fell behind in style but i remember wearing some pairs for years while washing regulartly
7:38 i personally aint a spender or a supporter of fast fashion but back when i was i bought a pair of non stretch skinny fit jeans without distressings all black from hm, have had for maybe a year havent broken down only just fade and ive wore them alot. not saying that they are a quality pair of jeans but they are 100% cotton so it isnt that hard to make jeans that dont rip at all if they are 100% cotton, but anything else about hm i hate now and anything else than the jeans are pretty bad quality.
I got my polar big boys that were green (for u who dont know they are like kinda rare skating jeans) well its so sad when u fall and this wax and dirt from railings come on the pants and they wont get off.. I have to wash them just straight after they came out of the wash and been dried... its literally so sad especially the fact they are green and they get more yellowish.. hopefully no wash in atleast 3 weeks.. :/
I actually have a pair of shrink to fits! I think the shrink to fits are a really good option. I wear my regular 501s more because the shrink to fits take some time to break in but they are both a good option. Shrink to fits require more work. But they are raw denim if I am not mistaken.
I do not fold my pants specially corduroy material bcs the folded thing line is damage corduroy like getting white line or folded line that hard to back when I use iron or steamer.
I got some purple rose dickies 874s and 33x30 fits nice like not loose and not tight like literally perfect with a little baggy feeling but I got them in 36x30 and I like how big they fit but my problem is that since they have a hook and eye closure and they scrunch up with my belt that they get undone you think there’s a solution to that without me returning them?
I try and wear my pants/jeans 2-3 before washing them but anymore than that and they smell due to farts, sweat, residual poop smell coming through my underwear, etc. Not sure how you have never washed your pants.
Thanks for sharing your insights here, I found it very helpful! The only reason why I thought it's good to dry my pants is that they lose their shape within a few days and start to sag in the butt which I don't think looks very good. What are your thoughts on this?
Depends for dress shirts you can get them dry cleaned but in most cases washing on delicate air drying and ironing or steaming out is what I’ve been doing
I plan on getting Levi’s 511 or 512.but I am worried about them shrinking too much or at all after I wash & dry them. Have you ever bought any Levi’s that shrunk after washing and drying them ?
Dry cleaning isn’t really for jeans as much as it’s for garments that simple cannot be washed bc it would damage the garment no matter if you washed it by hand or in a machine
