The last one honestly felt pretty harsh. Was it an absolute dumb mistake? Yes. but the casters didn't have to grill him like I do to my burgers on Sundays, that was unprofessional. Their job is to cast the game, point out mistakes, and make it easy for viewers to follow along. Their job is not to ridicule a player, we get it, he fucked up, but to chide him like they're his mother is beyond me.

The last one is just so disrespectful the commentators need to think twice who got to professional stage and who is a god damn commentator

A little more context on the Dota ragequit clip. For big events, if a player calls gg, the match is immediately forfeited. For the most part, it doesn't matter if it's an accident or not everyone agrees. That one emotional outburst caused his entire team to lose a winnable game.

I'm sorry, but as a commentator, you have no rights to start giving "advice" to players whatever happens. Your job is to commentate, not be biased, not talk trash about the players, and most importantly, not give any advice to them. That's not your job, and not your place. Both of those is for the players to develop themselves with.

The fact that the heartstone commentators roasted him all the time was very unprofessional aswell as not him making his play right imo

I am very late on this one, but here are some explainations on the behavior of Nono, and why he did rage quit on this game on LCS (he is actually a quite famous french streamer, thats how i know this). For a very very long time, the entire team couldn't stand AAA's support, "Zarmony". He was very very toxic, the mangager of the team named "Drijoka" even said later that Zarmony once attacked another player with a butter knife. All this situation was not given a lot of attention from the staff, which made things impossible to live for the other players. So this is not just a rage quit from Nono, it was an aggregation of monthes of frustration for him, after many reports to the coaching staff (which was almost inexistant at this time, lets remember that it was 2013) Nono even stopped his pro-player carrier because of how disgusted he was after playing with Zarmony Hope that helps to understand

Tbf if the commentators knew that he was playing Auto Chess while playing Heartstone at competitive level, then they have the right to ridicule him like that. But if they don't and if it turn out that he wasn't paying attention because his family gotten ill. I would have them fired from their job.

Fun fact: Kyle Larson saying the N word was the greatest thing that ever happened to him. Not sure if everyone has played Hearthstone for the last clip, but I don’t think the casters were wrong. The whole deck he was playing revolved around using one specific minion to OTK the opponent and the player just tossed away the key minion so there is no way to win. This is like if he was a professional basketball player, forgot to dribble and just ran down the court cradling the ball. The announcers were right to call out such an egregious mistake that beginner of the game would know not to do. The icing on the cake was the fact that this guy was trying to compete in two tournaments at once and wasting a chance that so many people would cherish in the Hearthstone esports league.

Even though these people look bad, I frequently question why people treat them as abnormal. Yes, they are class 1 disgraceful people. But in everyday life we meet frat guys and people vomiting bile all the time. These gamers are totally normal with respect to how everyday life functions.

yeah... one time i raged quit league of legends. I was 16 old (young, but a dick, i am not proud of my pass), i was playing with vayne adc in the great elo... the big one... SILVER 2, and my sup raged at me, and so do i... them he left me die three times, and i... Yep, i bite the top screen of my notebook and crashed it... So i was without my pc because i broke it (or bite it) and was that... for 4 long years i was without a computer, and a dedicate this time for me, to learn more about the 'rage', all that anger that i had... And i got over it, i've become stronger mentally, i start to learn how to fight (I do Taekwondo and Karate), i get a girfriend, who is with me now, and got a job. So in 2020 i bought a new PC, yeah, another notebook and i decided to install league, and you guys now what i did... I trained all the lanes for 1 year and started play Yasuo instead of ADC, in mid lane, i become a 'Mono hero' haha, but not toxic anymore. I win rage, in the mental Ranked, i was challenger top 10, and i am proud of me today ^^. Just a little story with a bad english to inspire you guys from leaving the toxicity. Oh and i get silver 2 again but in november 2021 i got plat 3, it's not that big, but for me? i was the champ ^^

This is constantly happening in regular sports, people leaving in the middle of a match. Most of the time it's just shoved under a rug. Broadcasters and sports groups will intentionally not bring it up because they're afraid of the negative repercussion. So, It is not unheard, people leaving a competitive match, due to anger, is not uncommon. Some people will probably say, “But, E-gaming and sports have differences…” You're right and wrong. E-gaming and regular sports all carry the same thing, the desire to win.

Those Hearthstone commentators are kind of douches. Even if it was a big mistake I've never heard any commentators be that unnecessary.
