The difference in vintage sizing compared to today's is why people wrongly put Marilyn Monroe as a "plus size" figurehead. Yes, she was a size 14 in the 60s, but she had a 27-28" waist!! Not Plus Size, she would not be next to me at Torrid thumbing through the rack. Quick question! I'm helping my girlfriend try to figure out some pricing for a set of dresses she has. Problem though! One doesn't have any tags or identifying marks of any kind. It does however have metal zippers on one side, so we know it's pre-63. We're thinking this might be a homemade piece, but we're really not sure. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Question: I have a clothing item with a very vintage style tag and a lot number but it says it was made in China of imported fabric. If it was made in China, could it still be vintage?
