FWIW, you can buy a pair of small throw pillows for a couple of bucks and make one of those "back sleeping cradle" pillows. You could likely do the same to DIY the side sleeping pillows too. A pocket sewing kit and a normal pillow is far more accessible to start if you want to try a hollowed out pillow.

i don’t have the exact pillow mentioned but i got a curved memory pillow in my late teens & i hadn’t realised how bad a regular pillow had effected by neck during adolescence (likely including during growth). luckily there was no long term damage. my neck stiffness, cramps and pain greatly improved quickly. i had forgotten what my neck was supposed to feel like. even to this day (several years later) if i wake up in a weird position it still supports my neck so much better than a “normal” position on a regular pillow ever could. i couldn’t ever go stay overnight somewhere without my memory foam pillow anymore. i forgot to give gratitude to my pillow because i just got used to it so i appreciate the reminder!

Supposedly, sleeping on your back may impact the level of risk a senior has for developing a neurological disease like Alzheimers . For some reason that sleep & glow with the bolsters pillow caused me to have intense jaw pain. I can’t sleep in one position, I have to change positions very frequently. I really wish it would have kept me sleeping on my back. I think I ended up sleeping on my side on the bolster.

I recently got the OmnixLux neck red-light mask and it irritated my neck and chest so badly. I have to return the device. It's strange because I have the face one and have no issues with it. I know skin is not created equally, and the neck is a sensitive area. I do find it interesting because my neck can handle retinol with zero irritation.

Maybe the use of retinol is causing the irritation?

I have Poikiloderma of Civatte. It has made my neck extremely sensitive. So much so that even my hair touching my neck causes irritation. Feels like barbed spider webs.

I do too. I can’t put any retinols, vit C, AHA etc on my neck and chest or it will be fire for days. For myself, I have found La Roche-Posey Cicaplast works great. I also use a DNA repairing sunscreen. Whether that does any real repair I couldn’t say, but this combo has drastically reduced the redness and itching. I imagine any cream with cica like The LRP or Avene might work the same.

Good suggestions, however I think the word for the theme should be replaced by "to prevent" not "to erase" lines. Once they are there none of these things will reverse them back, only (and maybe) surgery. I like your tips ❤

I think I know the answer to this, but is there any benefit to using neck frownies once a week? I'd buy and use them daily (I'm sure that would actually help) but they're very expensive.

Yes but there are folks who can't sleep on their back no matter how much they try or who just don't want to and even the side sleeper pillow is supposed to help with the wrinkles by keeping your face from being smooshed.@@veronicaivanova
