I'm experiemced and still watched this. Everything you said is true. My RDAs are flavor city, and so damn much cheaper in the long run vs tanks. Don't forget there is RTAs and RDTAs for people who don't want to drip every few puffs.
You sir, earned yourself a "like". Very well explained, am still using a tank but coils are getting a bit too much, been saving every coil since I started vaping and now I have collection of charred-pure-coal coils, about 75 of them... About time for a change, after 2 and a half years of vaping...
I remember when i first started friend of mine set everything up and i was just filling it up with liquid as i go. Around 5 months later when he asked for a "hit" he sayd how disappointed 😂 he was. I never changed anything. Coil was dead and cotton was more black then when you close your eyes at night time. Good vibes tho😂😂😂
Swap cotton once a week. Thank you. I was wondering just that and you said it, nice. Just got into subohm and plan on starting a build and getting a kit etc,,,well needed watch;]]
Nope. Just start easy. Buy some cheap wire because learning to make and WICK coils with cotton is the real hard part. Don't be scared. You'll get mo flavor until.you learn exactly how to do it, but it's so much more flavor then any coil when you nail it. Just keep rewicking (only cotton, not wire) every day or 5x a day when u first get it. You'll pick it up sooo fast and learn what you like. Watch long like coil and wicking videos/sessions or learn from.someone IRL of you can. Trust me it's sooooo easy. Just go slow, follow basic advice like build a 1.0 coil for noc salt and below a .6 for freebase low nicotine juice. It's ao much cheaper. I spent 100 on RTA/mod/build kit/wire/cotton and never spent a dollar more on my essentials. After that you just need juice. About 40 bucks a month where I live (NYC)
Out and about: RTA =no juice bottle to carry. At home RDA all the way. I'm getting a Blotto Max tomorrow though so that RDA may get replaced based on the reviews I've seen.
Not my first but just bought a bonza 1.5 from vapewild, awesome tips 💯 and agree with the tool kit tip it was what I bought with my first rda and I’m super glad I did lol
Well… depends on what RDA you have. Some RDA’s have the coils really hiding in there and that could make it difficult to get a precise enough drip so just shop around make sure you’re getting a good RDA with a wide open drip tip that exposes the coils and cotton well enough. I recommend any Dead Rabbit from Hell Vape.
I already bring my juice everywhere whether I need to or not, kinda like those days long past where we NEVER got in the car without cigs and a lighter, backup lighters in the glove box, console, coat pockets, rectum (j/k lol). Squonking just seems messy and there's fewer choices on squonk mods than there are left-handed guitars, especially if someone finds single battery too limiting. I would love to see some tips on dripping and driving, that always seemed like a no-go to me. RTAs seem like a better deal for on-the-road but those finicky little fucks always have some type of issue that happens at the worst possible time. At which point juice AND the entire tool kit has to go on the road and we never get out of having to be VapeGyver. The other thing is that if someone intends to pair them with a mech mod, it will be a serious hunt if you want something other than a tube mod (like 21700 parallel and/or paraseries like I went for, a few months of scouring the entire earth/internet). So depressing that in 5 years time after this vid was made, the entire RBA/DIY market took a dump instead of taking off.
Make sure to get a quality sharp wire cutters. Trust me, it's definitely worth not having to deal with any hassle clipping your leads and just getting it perfect with a good pair.
dead rabbit rda's cotton is looking like black oil, though it has lasted me for over 8 months, and still going mainly because i don't vapie with flavor, just nicotine, pg and vg
You trade having to replace coils all the time with having to buy new juice all the time, one 60ml bottle in my falcon king tank lasts me 2-3 weeks, my rda i go through a 30ml in 3 days.
You vape 3-4 ml a day on a tank like falcon king? How is that possible? A single coil rda at 60 watts will use maybe 10% more juice than a tank at 60 watts, which seems to be standard wattage for today's coils. I have an RTA and a tank with standard coils for when outdoors and some RDAs for home. I don't have a problem consuming 10% more juice to get the flavor of an RDA.
Today i bought Wolverine RDA from Ystar, i installed the pre-build coils and i wanted to test if the coils are heating up the same. But when i screw it on my mod and hit the fire button, it keeps saying ''No atomizer''
You can use it pretty much as long as you like if you're cleaning it properly and regularly. I used a coil for like 6 months once, but by the 1-2 month mark, it starts to get a little perma gunked and makes juice lose a bit of flavor, so I replace it around that mark
I have a mesh tank and I keep getting dry hits and the coil is burning in the center not around the edges, in most cases the cotton won't burn at all, just the mesh...No idea why or what's causing it.
So my wick is too thick? The flavor started out bombtastic and after about 2 hours. The flavor became very mild followed by a pop sound ad the coils heated up.
I just got a dead rabbit v2 rda after buying some pnp coils for my voopoo. An OG vapor guy was talking up RDAs and RTAs and RDTAs and I was all kinds of lost and just said, what the hell. I got a few extra dollars. Let me try the ways of my vaping ancestors.
Maybe it's cheaper but all I gotta do is prime and soak my sub-ohm tank for comparable flavor and clouds. 🤷 Plus I'm only playing like &15 for a 5 pack of coils that should last around a month (if you don't get any duds). RDA seems like so much more work and carrying around my vape liquid everywhere seems like a hassle... And possibly a sticky mess. Plus am I really saving money if I gotta buy a whole tool kit and experiment with it till I find just the right combination. Sounds frustrating. Maybe I'll get one some day just for home use if I find/try one that's so good I can't live without. Till then, think I'm happy with my sub-ohm.
You know, you could buy yourself some good RTA and some premade coils + cotton and then u dont really need a whole tool kit as u should have most of the tools at home. With a pair of scissors i think u would get most of the work done while i bet u will find some screwdrivers and cutters already at home.
@@mapaalbinos6143 I started off with RTA's then RDA's and now tanks with those pricey screw in coils. I'm going to get a squonk mod next, I've never owned or tried one before...I found over ten years of vaping that RDA's (if you get a Good one) is best if you were a roll your own cigarette kind a guy. It's a similar ritual...open bottle, drip ex amount of drips, vape till empty and set vape down until the next time you really feel like you need some nicotine; just like smoking. When using anything else, I feel like I'm never putting the thing down, I feel like I'm on oxygen support or the equivalent to chain smoking which is horrible. A squonk mod will hopefully be a Good balance for me and I miss building my own coils. They all can be great...RDA's RTA's etc but I've also had so many terrible ones that just didn't work for me well at all. If you find something you really like, including the mod itself, my recommendation is to buy many of them because when you lose or break one and a replacement does not exist, you'll probably suffer finding a Good alternative. Sorry for the long post, I got carried away 😆👍
If you think it will be a hassle and won’t enjoy building and or wicking coils then an rda is probably not for you, sub-ohm tanks definitely make life easier but they obviously cost more to maintain and aren’t as fun
You can always go rta instead of rda so you have a big tank to fill instead of dripping every 2 mins. I bought 10 packs of cotton bacon for $10 on aliexpress and a couple 10' reels of coils for about $10 each. Already have scissors and a wire cutter so no need for a kit. About $30 and I'm set for 2+ years with cleaning the rta and replacing wick every day. Make my own juice too, so vaping barely costs anything now that I'm past the initial costs. About $50 every 6 months for juice and like $0.10 a month for coils. Wicking isn't hard either. Do it a few times and you're set. It's no art it's braindead easy Also you can get a squonk. All the advantages of an rda and rta in one
My heart hurts i miss you guys so much😢 I'm the one that found the hidden mango cooler coupon code and i just found an old bottle with some in it❤ i fucking hat r j Reynolds
Just an FYI to all my vapin family. Got my income tax refund and of course decided to purchase some stuff online. Bought some delicious juice from vaporauthority. Ordered on Feb 2 received on Feb 4. Sweet. Ordered a new mod and a few tanks from Direct vapor on Feb 2. Of course they took my money promptly. Today is the 9 th and not only does DV not know where my order is, they NOW tell me it could take up to a month for me to receive my order. I’ve made several calls to their “ customer Service department” who dont know where the shipment is, when if ever I will be receiving it, and oh yea, it may take “ up to 30 days to receive my order. They also refused to refund my money because they had “ already processed my order.” All I will say is I will NEVER use direct vapor again.
Point of dimishing returns... ''RDA will save you money". Not. You'll burn through your juices insanely fast, so you spend more on juice. The cheapest method is still just getting a box mod with built in coils and using them correctly. I got RDA, sub ohm tank (with pre built coils), and a cheap a$$ Innokin Endura T12 Pro. Guess which satisfies me the most? The cheap a$$ Innokin Endura T12 Pro. It's ease of use is what's best IMO. I don't have time to build a stupid coil and mess around with cotton like a lady. LOL.
Whoa slow down there bad ass as if it's a big deal who gives a shit yall where probably doing the same shit there's alcohol and weed but oh no none combustible nicotine 😱😱
Better flavour, cheeper, using less juice. I could get 2-3 days out of Smok pre build A2 coil, my own builds go for weeks. F L A V O U R F L A V O U R F L A V O U R Did I mention the flavour? Portable I use a "drop solo" for home I use a "hellbeast". Amazing results, so pleased, has saved my vaping as I was about to go back on the snout.
Not my first but just bought a bonza 1.5 from vapewild, awesome tips 💯 and agree with the tool kit tip it was what I bought with my first rda and I’m super glad I did lol
