Pre-Built vape coils can be confusing to understand. We all see the coil porn with Clapton coils and Alien coils and so on but what does it all mean? Learn more here - bit.ly/2WclM5C
There are several different types of pre-built vape coils. They can range from super simple to elaborate, and many of these different types may come together to make even more complex coils. Here's an example; a staple coil and a staggered coil meet in a bar. They come together and make a staggered staple coil! Or Clapton and framed coils come together and make a framed Clapton coil!

Thank you for this video 🤘🏻☺️ I’m still pretty new to vaping and I love the RTA and RDAs I keep seeing. It’s not so confusing now. I’m eager to try the Alien. I just want to keep it simple but I’m very curious about the prebuilt. You guys rock 🤘🏻🥰😘

Claptons are my go to, unless I'm building a MTL atty like the Lemo Drop. For those type of MTLs, I use standard kanthal 24-26 gauge round wire. Great video, Gabe!

I've been vaping for almost 5 years,but i still prefer kanthal as my first place to use,it is easy to build,battery efficiency,I'm using a 24 or 26 gauge kanthal(depends on the availability),2nd place goes to tiger wire,which gives more warm and flavoured vaping,i recently tried fused claptons,but i find some brands that fluctuates,it doesnt have a steady ohm reading

nice video. but i have a question. the info thats written on the coil box(Kernel,Wrapped), what does it mean and whats the difference between each one? for example i have 3 kinds of coils: Quad 0.36 ohm. Kernel: 28GA A1*4 - Wrapped: 0 Hive 0.5 ohm. Kernel: 30GA A1*2 - Wrapped: 30GA A1*2 Mix Twisted 0.45 ohm. Kernel: 26GA A1 - Wrapped: 0.2*0.8 Flat can someone tell me whats the difference plz? thanks

So quad kernel would be your cores its using 4 pieces of 28g a1(kanthal A1) im assuming is twisted and doesnt habe a wrap wire or if it does and its some sort of clapton maybe a .0 something. The hive kernel is core 2x30gauge kanthal a hive is supposed to be 2x30 twisted in 2 sets then both sets twisted together in the opposite direction so should be labeled as 4x30 as a core instead of 2x30 for wrap. Mix twisted is 26gauge A1(kanthal) twisted with flat wire .2x.8 im assuming kanthal but again its twisted but labeled as a wrap. A wrap wirw is generally the outer wire of some sort of clapton build whether it be a fused clapton framed staple alien etc its always the outer wire. Flat wire is also different from ribbon. Its very similar but ribbon always has a .1mmside ie. .1mmx.3mm n80, .1mmx.4mm ka1, .1mmx.5mm ss316L etc. Hope this helps

I've just started vaping recently I'm using a Drop Dead rda with the Drag 2 mod. I'm looking mostly for flavour so what coils would you recommend I'm currently using Claptons

lol im on the same boat man. Bought the drag 2 (island color) with 2 drop dead rda's. im using just regular kanthal wire at the moment, but i was using fused clapton wire at first at 3mm.

Claptons are decent personally builds that have ribbon wire like staples, framed staples, or even staggered fused without ribbon. My personal favorite are interlocking alien framed staples or 3 core staggered fused. How many watts should I use with a double A1 alien coil (6 wraps 32GA 0.45 ohm)? Is there a way to calculate it? I started vaping only a thew months ago and have just decided to leave the sub ohm tanks behind, building my own sets. I live in Brazil and it is hard to find quality information like this one, available here. I'm using a Hellvape Dead Rabbit RTA with a Vaporesso Revenger 220w mod. Sorry if there is any grammatic mistake in this text, been a while since I had to write this much in english hahaha.

You’d need to familiarise yourself with Ohms Law. Here is a link to one of the calculators I found after doing a quick search: www.wotofo.com/pages/ohms-law-calculator I hope that helps:)

I have a question, all premade coils I have bought have a value written in the box like .3 or .4 ohms but when I use one coil my MOD shows double the value like .6 or .8, why is this? Are the labels always consider your should use double coils to get that value?

So if its double the resistance that means the resistance on the container is for a dual coil as a dual coils resistance is half of what a singles would be.

Some companies list them as singles most label them as duals. Mainly cheap chinese machine made coils are labled as singles, some as duals. Majority of handmade coil companies including myself label them as duals unless otherwise specified.

Hi, Is it safe to vape very cheap single wire prepaid coils, I think I paid 4 bucks for around 50 of them, they work good, just don't know if they are safe. Thanks

To be completely honest in this industry you really get what you pay for. The quality of the alloy plays a huge part in quality of vape, how long it lasts, and to an extent safety. Cheap coils are actually what made me start my coil/wire company. Too many mislabled coils with wrong metal(can be dangerous). Some would actually rust after a single use. I would recommend finding a company that does handmade like myself or a number of others vs. Machine made

Cheap Machine made coils are also rarely ever cleaned and can have oil or residue on them especially kanthal. Many handmades go thru various cleaning processes, most commonly ultrasonic cleaning. Alot of times even with a nickel allergy it wont affevt you. Some it def does. I have a severe nickel allergy but am still able to vape N80 and N90 just not pure N200. Im glad lol as i havent found a better tasting alloy that vapes nearly ad good as n80

Vape wild overpriced the hell out of their juice....so they don't exist anymore. Flavors were good, but the prices for their tiny little bottles were way too high.
