I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. My dragon fruit like this was ready by day 34 from blooming/pollination date. It was shaking, cracked and everything already. It tasted awesome and was pretty huge.
Greetings 👋 from The Bahamas 🇧🇸 Hello 👋 Richard and thank you very much for loading this video and giving me tips on how and when to harvest my “Dragon Fruit”. It was very helpful. Keep up the good work! Shalom 👍🏾😊😉🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸❤️
My 1st American Beauty fruit bloomed October 7th but is just now in Jan starting to turn red! I’m in Oklahoma. Climate differences? Moved the plant to a grow light in the garage at the end of October.
one of my plants has so many blooms this year im so excited. last year i had 3 fruits each from 2 of my plants. my question is after fruiting is all done theres nasty black scaring on that branch where the fruit was should i trim that branch or just leave it. the white dragon fruit is not really doing anything but making more branches, its so far behind my red DF is there anything i can do to encourage my white to bloom.
How often do you water your American beauty? I have one and I'm trying to find valence and not over water it. Also, how do you get yours to produce such large fruit? Thanks for all your videos, I've learnt a lot from you.
Hi! Richard, your video tasting dragon fruits with Kevin had inspired me to plant dragon fruits. Onward, exactly following your instructions from grafting to building trellises and fertilizing my dragon plants are now thriving. I printed your list of dragon fruits with the descriptions of whether self fertile, cross pollination and/or self sterile, however, do you mind explaining what is the meaning of each categories? example, American Beauty is listed as self fertile, do you still pollinate? Thank you very much, truly appreciate learning a lot from you.
You should always pollinate by hand to ensure good Pollination. Self tittle means you can use the same flower to pollinate itself, if self sterile then you need to use a different variety plant to pollinate, but always pollinate your flowers by hand to ensure proper pollination
I came here with a question, it was answered within the first two minutes. I stayed for the content and the thirst for more. Great tips, I'll look like a pro in front of my fam and friends.
Just had my first flower tonight after one year. I hand pollinated and going to wait 46 days now. I planted 4 plants in my pot all the same red flesh variety and noticed today I have over 25 buds total so excited. First time growing these I am enjoying it very much, thanks for all your help in teaching me how to.
They were ripe. I gave two of them to my neighbour grannie and kept two to me, which one of them I've just ate. It was delicious. I have more three fruits, still green. Thank you so much, Richard.
That dragon fruit plant is so beautiful. I tried dragon fruit once because it was so pretty and i was curious, LOL, it was white on the inside and kinda bland. Now i realize I ate it unripe 🙄 Oh well, Ill eventually try a ripe one.
I absolutely love all your tips !!! One thing about your dragon fruits is , you keep them clean and their all healthy looking ... I have watched other owners of their dragon fruits , some of theirs is like skinny long and not producing or not looking healthy at all ... But you keep yours organized and and clean and you gives more tips more than other owners does ..... Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to plant some one day ?!?! 👌⭐️👍🥰
I have been trying to get fruit from my dragonfruit plant for 7-8 years now! I guess i should have watched your videos sooner! But i now have my first ever pink dragonfruit, but wasnt sure when to pick it! Its only day 35, but it passes all your other tests, so, thank you! My plant only produced 1 fruit! So, i was worried about picking it too soon and ruining the only fruit i have!! Also, I live in Australia, and its been very hot for quite a while, this is the end of summer for us. Im guessing the heat maybe ripened it quicker?! Anyway, thank you! Now, to eat!!
I love to look at all your dragon fruits & dragon plants. It's so green and healthy. I have never thought I would grow any dragon fruit until I'd watched your videos three months ago. Now, my cutting has rooted, but has not grow in height yet. I'm excited to see all your plants doing so well. I hope my cutting will grow soon so I can put in the 20 gallons pot like your's. Thank you for inspiring us all to start our dragon fruits plant.
Thank you for your tips. After two years my dragon fruit finally bear fruits. I saw 6 fruits on the tree but didn’t know when to pick it. How do I get my tree to produce many fruits?
Hi Richard Have been watching your videos since last year and they have helped me being a novice. Had no idea how to grow or even how many varieties there were. Got my first dragon fruit ready to be picked. So exciting. 😍. I am not sure if you have mentioned the cutters you use to cut off the dragon fruits. Could you please say what they are so I can buy it. Thanks. 🙏🏻
Richard Le !!! I just got to see this AND MY CHOICE that i would like for you to do IS SHARE THAT FRUIT WITH ME!!!"😋😂😋🤣 Do you deliver ? 😂🤣😂Enjoy gut !!!
Hi Richard, love your work, please let us know how do people grow many dragon fruit on one branch as seen displayed like a Xmas tree....perhaps they graft multiple nodes? Thank you, Joe from WA
Thanks for the great tips Richard. How come my dragon fruits (red jaina type I think) produced not sweet especially the first picked? Any tips regarding watering or before the harvest? Greatly appreciated.
0:33 Pro tip: there is no such word as "tartiness." It's tartness. 3:44 Pro tip #2: Common mistake to say "that being said." It's "that said." ----------------------- "That said" is an appropriate truncation of "that having been said", which is correct in that the clause refers back to what was just stated in the prior sentence. "That being said" is incorrect since the prior sentence is in the past, and "being said" implies simultaneity.
Hand pollinate with pollen from another dragon fruit plants. Chat to someone in your Nextdoor app and see if someone will share the pollen. I’ve done it and have 30 fruits now.
Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you so much I planted cuttings that my son gave me in May and I already have two dragon fruit on it. Can’t wait to harvest them. They should be ready any day now. Thank you for all your info.

Hi, I'm Fajar from Indonesia. Nice to watch your video. Btw, may you share with me how to to cure dragon fruit diseases. Your plant very nice to look, clean from all of diseases, my plant all full of pest and fungi. Best regards
How far apart are your pots? They look like about 6 feet apart. I am planning my DF "garden" and am looking at dimensions. Also it look in this video like you have had to add some 2x4 vertical supports to your trellises. Are there any modifications to your original "Trellis #1 & #2" videos you recommend? Love your videos!!! I have learned a ton of useful information and will soon be harvesting my first fruit after 3 years!!
