Right? Lol and the ghost ride Wally is actually just a boneless that he did. I longboard freestyle and the ghost ride kickflip was actually really hard for me. I learned several boneless tricks before I was even able to do the ghost ride kickflip

Im 40, i havent street sk8 since 1998. I bought a long board early this summer and I like it. The reason I bought it is my knees cant do anymore flips, stairs. Crusing aroud is more easyer for me now. But wait... I never thought about doing old school trick like yours. Guess who is going back at the local sk8 shop.😂

I can’t do a ton of ollies so I’m just learning non-ollie tricks. People had entire careers before the ollie was invented so I’m just going with that. My ankle is not what it used to be

@@Leon-go4cw I sk8 when I can... witch is not often. I also found that my deck is scaring me little some times. I still do heel flip easyer then kick flip. And its not even a heel flip. I do it with the toe like a kick flip but on the toe side. Like a recerse kick flip...

@@emmakalabr8407 they are a different skillset. Ollie will take months to get down, and even years to perfect. These tricks are niche, they don't necessarily lay a foundation for tricks like the ollie does. That being said they are easier to learn imo. It's all about mindset, and time spent on your board.

Really enjoyed these creative trick ideas! I haven't been able to move past the ollie but I think I can definitely attempt some of these! I would love to see a video with tips on basic grind/slide tricks like slappies and tips on what types of curbs and ledges work best with those kind of tricks. PS I'm a mom of a two year old and 7 month old, am I crazy for wanting to still learn to skate?

Good point about the tricks between ollie and kickflip, all the shuvits, no complys, (basic) old school tricks, pressure flips, power slides and ollie/shuv bodyvarials. E.g.: I could 360 shuv way before kickflips Point is don't give up on skating just cause you can't immediately get kickflips or heelflips cause you can still crush it

I started yesterday and I could barely ride properly just learned forms and stuff. Today which is day 2 I am still getting comfortable with controlling the board and getting comfortable with it. I’m trying to learn to Ollie but I’m nit focusing on that yet.
