Hello let's read I enjoy and love listening to your scary stories and awesome narrations I've been a fan for awhile I have looking for one of my favorite stories of yours you did awhile back about a group of girls car went dead on side of the road and one girl went up the road and up a tree to get phone reception then they all got harassed by a crazy dude. Running at a car with a branch at the end of story when she went to get her back the next day the guy smugged cigs all in her window that story had me laughing if you remember doing that story can you please tell me which compilation it is in I've looked at a lot of them can't find it but love to hear it again thank you
I’ve been suffering with a headache for a whole week, and listening to your stories is the first time it’s eased even a little bit, I mean it could be painkillers but I’ll say it’s your voice.. thank you 🙏🏼
Who the heck is giving thumbs down and why? ..to the narrator, I love your voice and storytelling in all your channels..I think I found you narrating in some animated horror stories too!
Liked it before I played it, otherwise I'll forget. Thank you Joel, the moon has been doing all kinds of funny stuff these last few nights. Well just one really, keeping me awake. What? it's really bright!
@Vanessa Donato I've always had this thing where I say, "must be a full moon tonight, people are being weird". Usually it turns out it is a full moon. Luna/lunatic, all that. But this first full moon of the year has being particularly odd.
@@Alfofthyefax did you know the reason people act crazy on a full moon is due to the fact a lot of people have parasites and the full moon causes them to act out
@@turtlegangordie3059 That's not true though. Actually neither is the moon affecting one's sanity. It's really just a Greek/Roman belief and coincidental that people are a bit nuts on a full moon, I've always said it with tongue firmly in cheek. There have been scientific studies. The parasite thing is utter nonesense, as a pathologist I know.
I live in a small town near the location of electric forest. I didn't know Kevin personally but still to this day a missing person flyer for Kevin will pop up on Facebook, especially around festival season. December 2021, The family is still looking.
Or you know, maybe the mansion is exactly what is said, and people make up stories because of the man's former worklife, but really he just wants some privacy...
Let's read pumping out these videos. I loved the creepy exchange student topic was different . If a story teller could find different topics than these typical ones you'll be flying space ships like Elon, I'm telling you bro
For the officer sometimes certain people are brought together for God's wrath/justice.... and after what that monster did mayb God needed u to serve some justice... some people aren't people after taken over by demons
I've seriously binged ALL the Let's Read videos.. (*or so I thought!*) Until, this episode starts playing!! And WOW! These stories seriously had me dumbstruck! I was completely into these!! Def one of my fave videos!!
The first story sounds a little fishy. You don’t get a medal of valor for just being shot. Also if this happened in the mid to late 90’s the medal of valor act wasn’t passed until 2001. Not to mention this sounds a lot like that one scene in True Detective. You know, the one with the meth lab cook walking through the trees in his underwear and a gas mask…
that first story was freaky. he most likely had saved another life by showing up and ending that scab of a human. i hope he comes to peace with that harrowing moment. brave, courageous man
@Tyler Stone That was my first thought. He thought he was going to be Mr. Hero and he: didn't tell anyone where he was going, decided to investigate a drug bust on his own, didn't have a search warrant (it's never specified if the forest was private, corporate owned, or government owned) didn't have his weapon ready when he turned his back on the assailant, and somehow managed to miss all of his shots. This story sounds fake too because speed loaders wouldn't be readily available to poorly funded police departments in the rural South in the 90's.
@@michelewalburn4376 "scab of a human" is still calling them human. reading comprehension needs work. im sure torturing someone to death in the middle of nowhere is just "messing up", totally normal human error lol
@@goodnightmunchie LOL, I didn't expect to meet you and the foreskin walker in the comments here on Let's Read/Joel's channel as well, hahaha. However, what a great surprise, welcome! Hopefully you've fully recovered from the your horrific corn holer attack and nothing similar has happened to you in the meantime! Have you encountered the infamous "Execution-Styler" in the mountains? - (Guess not though, otherwise you wouldn't be here to tell the story).
I've only gotten to listen to the first story,so far. Getting ready to get some snacks and hunker down to listen to the rest. Kinda crazy, but I'm compelled to Google "Mud Lake in Chico County" just to see if any crime scene photos were released of that poor soul who was tied to the stake in that shed. Or just the cook site in general. The description of it was SO VIVID !!
Dunno about finding all of that, or even any mention of the actual story for that matter...but Chicot County is real enough, and Mud Lake is definitely a real lake in that county in Arkansas, and it really is a small populace there, consistently staying below 10k ppl for the most part throughout history. Arkansas is my home, not that specific area though. I mean, just going from the story it doesn't sound fake to me at all...truth is far stranger than fiction most of the time, but tbh this one isn't even that strange. It's pretty believable from what I know of the state overall.
Thank you for consistently uploading! I found you a year ago and started listening to help me to sleep. Now I'm so conditioned to your voice that I struggle sleeping without a horror story lulling me to sleep.
As soon as I heard Monroe County i paused this vid. Cause I honestly geeked as I live near that area. I love it when stories happen close to my neck of the woods as it makes it more interesting
Wow!!! These stories were particularly good!! The last one about the mansion has me a little spooked at to what that guy is planning for! What does he know that the public isn't aware of!
We are dealing with the same meth problems in our small county. Scary stuff. Jesus just finished the story. That first story is freaking terrifying. Meth zombies.
I have rewatched so many videos does anybody else feel like they're repeating themselves? Even though he puts up new stuff every week, I make a point to listen to each one twice
There's Whitman air force base which is one of 3 ac control hangers to house certain fighter jets and was put here for a reason before the cold war also an army base if necessary for someone building a castle to protect themselves and whoever else is inside from ww3 or end of the world scenarios or an apocalypse plus there are a lot of underground caves and tunnels here so they might have to worry about a sinkholes taking the fortress to the very dark depths below because of it and could be caused if the madrid fault line is in Missouri ever goes off after 200 years it would be catastrophic for it. There's a few other reasons why but since I live in the ozarks I dare not say anymore then I have.
If these stories are real then Glasgow guy didn't learn his lessons the first time lol. He knows being drunk causes problems for him, and did it again.
@@LDF1218There is a Mud lake just outside of Chicot County Arkansas. Doesn't mean the story is true but it's possible he could have been in that area. Not to necro a 3 year old comment but I found it interesting.
Story 1: Mud Lake looks like it’s West of the Mississippi River and east of Old River. North of Eudora, South East of Dermott. That’s a rough area. Along the border of Mississippi. Southeast Arkansas is known for its crushing poverty and little infrastructure.
A (can never be big enough) thank you to all law enforcement for all you do. Please always remember to reach out if you need to talk. 💙🖤💙🖤💙 ------------------------------- Great stories and wonderful narrating as always. 💜
