When I was diagnosed with cancer, I stopped all, bleaching my hair, (before I lost it all) no perfumes, no sweet smelling laundry detergent and softener, no deodorant, no lotions, organic soap etc. I figured my liver and kidney were working hard enough dealing with my chemo. I had to help. And ofcourse my diet went all whole foods. I truly believe all that helped greatly and was reason I am in remission

I went to school to be a nail technician. 3/4 through the class, we were told that nail techs have a high cancer rate. As we were the first class in 20 years, it was not well organized and we did not follow proper protocol. No gloves, fans, etc. Before my license arrived in the mail, I was diagnosed with renal cancer, and had to have one kidney removed. I was fortunate not to have needed radiation or chemo, but I also was too afraid to do nails. I am now 7 years cancer free.

@@twopainters thank you. Now I am learning that all of these poisonous substances we put on our nails can seep into our bodies. Also lotions, hair dye and many beauty products. Fortunately for me, my husband has severe migraines that are triggered by strong scents, so I dont wear perfume, deodorant,, most make up, and I am very careful about household cleaners and laundry products. Of course air fresheners are out. If you can smell it, you are inhaling it.

My wife had lots of vaginal problems (dryness, pain, smell, redness, etc), and she couldn't get rid of them. Then, my grandma seen her arsenal of "female hygiene products" in the bathroom, and she said: "Honey, you shouldn't even use soap for your kitty, especially not these s***!" Grandma was a midwife, so my wife took her advice, and all of her mentioned problems are gone in a few weeks! Vaginas have amazing self-cleaning and self-healing properties, don't ruin them with chemicals!

I was in cosmetology in high school were we learned to do hair, make up and nails. After seeing how harmful most of the products used in hair and nails I decided not to get my license. Over the years I’ve used little to no make up, stop coloring my hair, never get gel, acrylic or dip nails. I paint my nails on special occasion but that’s about it. After learning about the endocrine system I’ve also stopped wearing expensive perfumes, I don’t use air fresheners or harmful chemicals to clean my home. I made all the efforts to reduce the number of pollutants and toxins in my home life.

Did you know that there are hairdressers who only cut hair, even hairdressers who only do color, such as the Vidal Sasoon Salon. But most hairdressers like to do everything though, but still, it's your choice. And no matter what you do, you can't protect yourself from harmful chemicals. Think about it and look around you. Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and pretty much everything we use are those chemicals that are harmful in many aspects. We must learn to detox our body with health remedies.

@Pythonaria
@Pythonaria 2 года назад
@@LunaSea11-11 I'm of an age now where comfort comes before fashion (65). I seldom go anywhere I need to wear makeup for (i.e nights out etc.) especially since the lockdowns. I used to dye my hair, usually red but found changes in the hair dye irritated my scalp, plus it seemed the "permanent" had become "temporary" and washed out fairly quickly. Add to that the skunk stripe I decided to go grey gracefully (!) Turned out I was a natural blonde with very little grey hair. I'd been dyeing my hair for so long, I'd forgotten what my natural colour was. Stopped dyeing my hair 10 years ago so now I have waist length, natural blonde hair with just one streak of silver at the front which I really like. I used to paint my nails until there was a change in the formula of most nail varnishes and I found my nails were flaking and splitting badly. Haven't painted my nails in over 2 years but keep them short as I am a pianist. My nails don't flake or split now so no doubt it was the nail varnish that was causing this. Toothpaste is another one full of chemicals. I had to go on the site of a well-known toothpaste to find out what was in it. Not a pretty picture and why is saccharin, which the bad effects on health are well documented in it? I had a bit of a gum infection that wouldn't clear up. I made my own toothpaste using coconut oil and bicarbonate of soda (I think my American friends call it Baking Soda) and within a couple of days the gum infection had cleared up and my teeth have never felt so clean. We are indeed targetted by companies out to make a lot of profit at the expense of our health. I will say though that I am in the UK and a lot of chemicals that are allowed elsewhere are banned in my country.

Because the FDA does not regulate the ingredients in these products. Our cosmetics act (from 1938) regulates the advertising of the products mostly to make sure that they don’t claim to do something they can’t (like false advertising). The US has banned under 15 known harmful ingredients to date whereas the EU has banned thousands!!! No testing is done on new products to make sure that they won’t harm you, especially in combination with the other things you’re using. You have to be your own advocate at this point ♥️

Yikes, after a lifetime of helping her clients look and feel amazing that seems extremely unfair.. The likely answer is Yes though I'm thinking 🤔 Barber here 💈, the absorbing of theses toxins via the Nails, Scalp, Skin or Lungs are all connected. Not to mention in her day these products weren't "All Natural" like companies today are trying for. Talc(um) is still quite prevalent in both Men & Women's powder items. I'm interested in your list! 3 types of Cancer though, goodness!? There's certainly many other health factors that could have contributed to that.. It may have been a combination of both? But knowing a thing or 2 about product ingredients/chemicals and how it was normal and not even concerning by today's standards back then, it's hard not to piece them together. Many relaxers and perms also contain the chemical mentioned on #4: thioglycolic acid. It’s so sad that the first time I tried a hair removal cream, that foul smell was oddly familiar to me. That’s because I had been asking my mom to straighten my hair (at all cost) since I was 6 years old. Today I’m almost 30, four years ago I did a “big chop”, cut all my chemically treated hair and started nurturing my natural curl pattern with coconut oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, etc. Today, my hair is long, healthy and beautiful, and I’m finally at peace and pleased with it. Many thanks Dr., I love your channel💯 I am the youngest of six kids, five girls & one poor brother stuck in the middle, lol. We just lost our mother last August 2021, she was 92. Mom always told us girls from the beginning to stay away from all these silly unnecessary feminine washes & wipes etc... she explained how our vagina knows how to take care of herself, lol. She doesn’t need our silly intervention! Basically we were told to stay clean & never use harsh soaps. I used to color my hair almost obsessively in my 20s and 30s, ridiculous! I’m 56 now and I barely use mascara anymore. I have tried a Swedish herb hair coloring shampoo that works great! Plus it’s fun and it only last four weeks, without any harsh chemicals! I instantly tuned in when I saw what this video was about I’m so glad you made this video! I’m shocked by all the chemicals in products we use and I’m amazed that so many people partake. As far as nail polish goes, my father couldn’t stand the smell! If myself or my sisters painted our nails when we were teenagers, dad asked us to go outside and do it it angered him a bit and dad never got angry it took a lot to ruffle his feathers but nail polish really did piss him off, lol! Unfortunately we also lost dad three days before mom in August 2021, he was 90. They were married 71 years❤️ Anyway, many thanks again doctor and God bless us all💯🌈🌦💫💕

Thank you! 🌿 Just wanted to say that it is not the "vagina" that those mentioned feminine products are designed clean ... Women seek to clean the labia minora, labia majora, the vulvar region, and the perineal area, or anal area, with those. There can be a lot of debris. Help cleaning that area may be needed. Women seek a bit of help finding products (or making them) to help break down odor producing urine, blood, semen, feces, and sweat, all of which may be on the labia(s) at one time, and also on the rectal region. The labia is not synonymous with the vagina. They are totally different. (Douche products were designed to address inside the vaginal canal). The word 'vagina" is only a term meaning 'birth canal.' Where babies emerge.🌼

This video is so important for women to watch. We can all benefit by looking at the bigger picture and by taking a higher perspective. It's easy for us to focus on our diets and forget about how the skin is affected by what we do. One additional tip I would suggest is using organic coconut oil as an all over skin moisturizer, a lip balm, a leave in hair conditioner and as a personal lubricant as well. You can put it all over the body including the face. It is liquid when it's on the warmth of our skin...so it doesn't clog pores! I am 53 years old without any wrinkles and people say that I look decades younger. I only use organic, cold pressed coconut oil on my skin and I love it. I will have to reconsider my hair coloring more discreetly. THANK YOU Dr. Berg for speaking out on the truth even if it may not be widely accepted.

Hey sherry 👋… coconut oil is AMAZING for the skin and has MANY wonderful benefits. However, coconut oil is VERY pore clogging, and has a comedogenic score of 4. For those suffering with oily/acne prone skin coconut oil should be used as a rinse away product ONLY to prevent making the breakout worst. It can be used with castor oil as a oil cleanse to remove make up and other impurities, or added to face masks with clays (Bentonite, kaolin, charcoal etc.) but rinsed off later. It’s a great natural alternative to commercial toothpaste and Listerine. Dry/sensitive skin would benefit from coconut oil as a leave on product but those suffering from oily acne prone skin should ONLY USE as a rinse off product. As for the hair it is a great pre-poo, conditioner or leave in oil. Coconut oil is a penetrating oil so it must be followed up or mixed with a sealant oil ie. Castor oil, grapeseed oil etc. to lock in the moisture and retain hydration. Blessings ❤️

One simple idea is using organic arrowroot or tapioca powder as a body powder, dry shampoo, face powder, etc. You can add a little cacao, cinnamon (if your skin's not too sensitive), turmeric, dried beetroot, etc for coloring + a drop or two of chamomile essential oil for scent. I broke out into rashes, and almost like boils on my skin. Then I realized, every time I put on new underwear that I bought, that's when my skin problems started up. Now, it was a major manufacturer of women's undergarments, and I wore that brand for years and years. I looked it up and found out there were dozens of lawsuits against the company, for that reason, women had skin issues. It turned out that the underwear was now made in a 3rd world country and they would spray the garments with Formaldehyde to keep them from molding in the warehouse. The same thing was happening with flight attendant uniforms, they were getting all kinds of skin issues, so that's what's happening to our clothing. Kind of pathetic. They even say those ''no iron" bed sheets are covered in chemicals. Why are all these toxic items on the market in the first place?

I stopped using all of these products years ago for this same reason. I was a manicurist for a short time. I got very sick when I did fake nails. When I had on fake nails I had trigger headaches as soon as I took them off the headaches stops. I also stopped coloring my hair because I also had headaches. Beth Minardi hair color had sodium benzoate an causes brain cancer

I've already decided I'm leaving my hair to go grey. I'll be 45 in August and embracing growing old. As for the other things, don't really use them.

@@nealausburn593 Apply to the tips only. Which most people don't. Your roots don't need conditioning. It's a lot more difficult on short hair though but then again when the hair is short you can get away with not conditioning 🙂

Dr. Berg, you are a goldmine of the most useful information. I am new here and am totally blown away by how clearly and quickly you inform us. So happy and grateful you're here. Big hug to you!

Thank you Dr. Berg. You just reminded me to lower my toxic load. Bleached hair may look pretty, as do painted nails, but a recent diagnoisis of Endometrial Cancer makes it an even good idea to quit using these products cold turkey. After all, seeing my little grand-daughter grow up has become an even more urgent priority!

I had the same cancer in September last year. I never even heard of it before! Now I found it is a very common one but not talked about as much as others. Good luck!
