I was thinking the same thing about those companies. I’m almost 67 and I run circles around 30 year olds, I became a realtor at 65 and a loan officer at 66. I’ve owned many cryptocurrencies for years (I really don’t need to even work) I guess people age differently? I’m much smarter and more efficient now than I ever was when I was younger plus I’ve learned so much from each job I’ve ever had in my life! I’m into health foods, supplements and exercise. Since I’m “too old” for these simple jobs, I was going to tell my 32 yr old daughter about them...but she won’t do it, her phone is always off or she can’t find her phone...on and on.

Has anyone stopped to ask why they want this age range 🤔🤪gee, maybe because they will be at the age to collect social security benifits, savings accounts, and other retirement pensions ect., and are an easy target/ prey for Scammers, vulnerable and trusting/ naive 🥴

You can do it! Times are hard but not impossible. You might need to borrow a headset and a camera but there is legit money to be made

That’s not true. I think lots of people do care, you just have to find those people. The world is a cruel place, but there’s a huge amount of people willing to help each other in hard times.

Retiring from public service made me realize that I had no means of passive income, and in 35 years, I had only moved round in circles financially. Breast cancer dx., blood clots, etc. guess what has really knocked me for a loop is had death in family 2 weeks ago, great niece, 24 y/o, collision, funeral 500 miles away, trip I had driven a hundred times at least, went by train, no direct flights, thought train would be easier on me. It has taken me almost a week to recover!! Before retiring I could drive that on Friday night, back on Sunday, work on Monday! Just having hard time accepting how hard trip was! I was always the “road runner” in the family!

I agree. I am also 73 and run an outreach and education program for a state. Small but always busy. Trying to find some of these side jobs is very difficult when they find out your age. They neglect to consider your experience

@@charruz y You might want to take a look at when the original video was recorded and posted (3 *years* ago) before you cry foul. I did notice that she responded to at least one comment about a year ago. She may be concentrating on another social media platform these days - or maybe she decided to retire LOL. Google might be able to help you figure that out. And she talked about writing a book. You could see if that is available. (I'm 78 and can testify that at least one of these ideas is still a winner. Now I am extremely careful about who I provide any personal information or documents to, especially: Driver's License, Social Security number, address. All these companies ask for those.

How comfortable would you be using a 'standing desk' as opposed to a sitting one? I don't know if that might be a more comfortable option.

@@Spangletiger Yeah, this. If you can't sit at a desk, you might want to try a standing desk. (A desk on hydraulics basically. Lower it up or down electronically)

"@mdee860" I think your situation speaks for a lot of people. Of course not each person has the exact same medical setbacks but there are people who may not be able to stand for very long while working or may not be able to merely sit in any chair except maybe a medically ergonomic one while working. Some people may have recently had hip or knee surgery and are still recovering and cannot be a fast food worker or bike messenger or porter. Computer work would be good but actually a lot of those kinds of jobs or gig work would require proficiency with computers, not mere decent or basic skills. A majority if not the majority of people just cannot opt for work-at-home-by-computer jobs. A lot of remote jobs actually would require that you start your own business as a bookkeeper or web designer (etc) and starting your own business is much more than just trying to get some "gigs" or "temporary work" here and there to earn extra money. Some people say that running your own business is desirable because you are your own boss, but there are hassles that come with it. I had a friend who was a co-owner of a business and she went to some job-training program to learn office skills because (as she told me) she wanted nothing more to do with owning or running a business and wanted to eventually get a regular job in which she works for some company or some employer, but she wanted benefits.

With that much experience and education, why would you want to work for someone else? Be your own boss. Unless, you want to have a twenty-something supervisor telling you to hurry up. I'm 71, been retired for 8 years and love everyday. Worked for 48 years and feel like, THAT'S ENOUGH.

Start your own business with the knowledge you have obtained over the years. Become an it job recruiter/trainer. Think out of the box.

Thinking of you. Best tip, skill up. There are so many cheap courses or free youtube videos to learn IT skills. G suite , microsoft apps . Currently doing an online secretarial and pa course - for £12 and its accredited ! There are cv videos and free templates to download . AND if you dont have a pc you can do on your phone iniatially. Its all possible . Good luck. By the way i skilled up after 2 years off with ill health and currently work for a tech company ! X
