After having to do the grip strength test at university, got 25 for my right hand and 23 for the left, it motivated me to strengthen it 💀. There was another chad girl that got 44! She did horseback riding and pole dancing. Explains why she was so strong. ..
Use to do gymnastics and we did these. Trying to do a handstand now I realize I was putting all the weight in my heel and unable to use my wrist to help balance myself or hold myself uo correctly. Amazing how much goes into the actual wrist
heavy grips runs in my genes, i have quite the grip although no matter how many reps i do per 12x using the gripper, my wrist is still at its default looks, in short its still skinny asf only my forearms in growing
Is it normal to have pain in the wrists during the exercises, where you put weight on the back of your hand? And will it go away after a couple of sessions?
@@gmbfit but will it get better the more often I do it? The hand position with the back to the ground simply hurts in the wrists when I put pressure on it. I had a scaphoid fracture in that hand a year ago and try to regain full strength. I also wonder if there is still damage to the wrist.
@@gmbfit you mention in your video that it is difficult to straighten the elbow. Is the limitation there the pain it causes on the wrists? Because even though I have pain during the exercise, it is still endurable.
Thanks. The first time I tried to do this I put it to my hand over on the front of my hand onto my wrist. My arm buckled and I almost face planted into the floor and wall. Note to self. Don't do that again
Hi. I do yoga. Sometimes I hurt my wrists (Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC)). Do these exercises strengthen that area of the writs? Or do you have other exercises for that?
Ah man, sorry to hear that. Always best to check in with a doc or physio if you're not sure. In general though, we don't recommend any exercise that makes the pain worse if you've got an injury going on.
I have different problem. I am unable to have flat hands on the ground while exercise. Most of the time my hand is up in the middle (palm section) during pushup or bhujangasana and all the weight goes to thump, tip of my fingers and lower part of palm creating tent like shape. Is this video of your channel useful for me ?
@@gmbfitno it is not permanent. I can flatten my hand on the surface but if I put my body weight on hands while pushup it happen. Even if I consciously try to keep them flat my wrist muscles hurt along with fingers.
@@prachih then work to stretch it out over time without putting much weight on it - you can't expect to go from 0 to 100 quickly, so take your time and work up to it.
I'm a beginner gymnast, I need strong wrists for several things, back tucks, handstands, handstand flat backs, etc.. and this was exactly it! I am also lifting weights and constantly stretching. thank you for this wrist workout!
