Only when religion is used as an excuse to be bad do I have a problem with it. No-one loves my kids more than me, though. No one and no thing. From my perspective, that's just not possible.
I wouldnt have a problem with religion if all its followers were like Ed. Problem is they arent. They are racist, bigoted, sexist pieces of shit that just use religion to justify their thoughts and actions. They all conveniently forget that Jesus number one rule was love thy neighbor. Also, super religious people tend to be anti science, so they are actively holding us back as a species, which also sucks.
The greatest thing about Ed, among all the impressive things he has done, is openly sharing with others what brings him true joy, a rock solid faith in Jesus.

The guy's name was Steve Clausman. He passed on a couple years back so in reality, was from my hometown. Nobody has seen his son in a longtime which is strange because he and my father were friends in high school. The shop Steve used to run is now an import shop run by a family friend, and the band he used to manage just started another tour around the U.S. Steve's partner on the run also dropped off so it would take some digging to get all the details

I may hold the current record ( sorta ) West palm beach to las vegas 2650 miles in 26 hours. faster than 100mph average in a 3 week old 2017 Mustang GT back in Nov 2017 - I was slowed down when I hit a deer after a fresh refill, the deer is was already dead, I skipped off it, I had to check out my car and wash it out, that wasted at least 45 min - anything can be done with big enough balls and zero fucks, I posted the video of me hitting the deer lol
Really inspiring man. I'm following my dream of being a mechanic. I haven't had much push to do something until recently. I finally registered for school and have been working in a garage as an installer for tires and various other parts. I keep finding little things that give me a boost to keep me going and I am happy to say this video is another one of those boosts.
Wow...this video took a very different turn than what I thought. I'm a very strong Christian having just graduated a two year internship at a church. But now am struggling to down the road of Entrepreneurship and business that God has called me to. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. I don't really ever seek out videos but this one I felt I did. No key, No title, and have never done this before. It'll make a great story and I hope to tell it one day. I have been very lucky to have conquered several "Cannonball" type challenges in my life and career. Life has its ups and downs and it just recently kicked the crap out of me. I have felt derailed and moved against my will from a clear path of goal chasing to a focus on short term survival. You just helped me realize that I need to get back on track to my next Cannonball. I should also add that I like the Cannonball Memorial runs you have been making to help the families of law enforcement officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty - to all of them, we owe you much!
As someone who grew up in a deeply religious homestead, this floored me. To hear you openly proclaim your faith in this day and age is impressive. I don't personally believe in a relationship with a deity but am far from agnostic or atheistic. Truly impressed, man.

Ed, average Joe here... I found your RU-vid page about a week ago and since then have listened to hours and hours and hours of your videos. I work a boring desk job here in Smyrna, so I just put your videos on in the background of one of my computer screens and continue working on the other screens. I really enjoy learning from your perspective. I also enjoyed learning of your passion for Christ and how you use your platform to share the word. I was always a dreamer growing up. Having a Kid at 19 changed those dreams. I fell behind and it took me years to get back on track. I do ok now but have noticed I've fallen into a bit of a rut and am starting to watch time fly by without achieving any big goals or dreams of my own. I never leave youtube comments.... but for some reason or another, I felt the need to tell you this. Hearing the way you spoke about really giving something your all and setting out to achieve a goal no mater how crazy it may seem to others.. that really sparked something up inside of myself. I am typing this to put it down on paper and have my word behind it. I am going to start TODAY working towards a big goal I've been sleeping on lately. Thank you for the motivation. Why is everyone mad about the religious part, I'm not Christian but he did not shove it down our throats he talked about something he cares about and drove him to complete this journey. He didn't tell anyone to be Christian or anything

Man that is sooo true normally there is all kinds of hate because people don’t want to be judged. They reject God and all things God because they don’t want to be judged. There are few things as exciting as seeing someone known, someone important sharing thier Faith in our Creator. Talk of bring Glory to God and leading people to Christ just lights me up. God has certainly blessed Ed and his endeavors, I am looking forward to watching many more videos and his Career progress.

Ed. Your message to your son is absolutely beautiful. I sat down with my daughter when she was in high school, and said something similar to her, that when she finds that thing that makes her happy, even 8f it's a serious risk, chase that dream. Try for what others say is impossible, because the only reason it is, is that they haven't tried it. Ajd it's only impossible until someone achieves it. Met her at age 4, 22 years later, she found her Cannonball. She is almost through college, has a job at one of the best hospitals in the US, and I couldn't be prouder of her than I am. She'll never be blood. But she will Always be more, because she was a choice. And she is definitely mine. Right down to being a car girl, and motorcycle girl. Bless you Brother.

I waited 18 years to drive a car, my best memories are my father teaching me how to drive, unfortunately my eyesight took that outta my reach, but I will drive a car again some how, I believe that, I love driving, I love cats, thank you for your words, i have faith the god will help me accomplish my dream.
