i would go so far as to say learning easy solos helps you learn how to play the right notes over progressions in a more musical way than you normally would have before.
100% true, and just because its easy doesn't mean its always played right. Come as you are solo was wrong in this video. Sounded ok but wasn't played right
Don’t underestimate yourself bro. This video has a few easy ones but the majority of them are not easy at all but having said that, there is no way to gauge what riffs or solos are easy. It’s subjective. I know many many musicians and have grown up around bands in my family & friends and this load o solo’s id say objectively -Ain’t easy at all. Some are very very difficult
@Matt try and do what I did ! I learned 4 notes of a solo daily ( when I first started playing ) - but every day it was more 4 notes . You will progress much faster than you think . Also practice scales until you no longer have to think about them

For those who think some "easy" solos are too hard, i would suggest you to select a bunch of really easy ones like "Wake Me Up...", "Fix You", "Love Her Madly" first and then go with more complex solos like "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Californication" and increase the level step by step. "Sultans Of Swing" (bonus) / "Master Of Puppets" should be practiced when you have done all the previous easy solos. These latters are more intermediate level solos (like i precise on the description: there are some more intermediate level solos in the list). Some tips: - Slow down the video if it goes too fast by using the RU-vid parameters. - Practice with a good guitar teacher. This video can't replace the benefit of a musical education course. - Don't be obsessed with perfection first, play the overall idea of the solo and add the details afterwards. The goal is to learn and have fun, not to play the exact note for note guitar solo. - If you have purchased the pack you can focus on some more tricky parts, isolate them, slow down the song (on Guitar Pro) and repeat several times until it sounds right. The PDF sheet music helps for matter that as well. To answer some questions here: - The pack available for purchase gives you a PDF, isolate backing tracks and extract with solo audio files, and the Guitar Pro file with all the other instruments (but only the extract with the solo on it). - "Seven Nation Army" is not played with a slide on purpose, it's an adaptation to make it easier. - If you have suggestions of other easy guitar solos, please share them in the comment section. I could make another video of easy guitar solos if needed. - These are so far the easiest solos that i know (that i found still interesting) that helped me to improve my guitar playing, i'm opened to discover new ones. - "Brother" by Yngwie J. Malmsteen contains three guitar tracks, so it's normal if i don't play the diminished arpeggios as it's played by another guitar. - Of course i know the track "Top Gun Anthem" in its entirety. - Yes "Purple Haze" is between an intro riff and a solo, "Paint It Black" is more an anthem melody, still IMO they are useful to learn the vocabulary of a soloist. - I've played the full track back to back file in one time using Guitar Pro at the same time but i've edited the audio afterwards in post production i admit. - The Strat is a made in USA model from 1979 loaded with DiMarzio FS1 ("Fat Strat") pickups, so they are not the typical strat pups (David Gilmour, John Norum, The Edge, Mark Knopfler, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Rory Gallagher used to have them). Thanks for the overwhelming reactions. Pick up your guitar, practice and have fun!
Great video and great tips- it’s clear that by ‘easy’ you mean ‘simple’, and I think it’s prob a great confidence booster to people wanting to learn these that you’ve put the scales and modes to indicate the attainability and relevance to practice exercises.
I really love how these tablature videos have taken off recently. It's so nice to be able to read the tab and also see it being played at the same time.
Time stamps for myself: 0:00 : Seven Nation Army (White Stripes) 4:53 : Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix) 5:13 : Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) 13:50 Come as you are (Nirvana)
I just can't believe you put "Lost Wisdom (Burzum)" between these other musics, I though I was the only one to know this kind of music and also appreciate more "commercial" ones. Most of extreme metal fans just listen to extreme metal
Other "easy" Solos: Hotel California (Eagles), Easy Lover (Philip Bailey), Listen to your Heart (Roxette), Crazy little thing called love (Queen), Sometimes Salvation (The Black Crowes), Wind of Change (Scorpions), Wanted Dead or Alive (Bon Jovi)
What an amazing video. It's amazing how easy some of the solos are. The difficult thing is creating them with natural feel. This guy is a great player to be able to whip through them all with no mistakes. Thanks for the lesson.
Perfect! This Is exactly the type of video i was looking for!!!!! Now i know i Will rewatch It hundreds of times to learn each solo! Thank you very much!!
Ashley, Life lesson: If you say you cant, you wont because you already gave up...but.......if you say you can, and try...you will if you dont give up. I thought for 20 years i couldnt play guitar cuz blah bla.....then suddenly my new girlfrined said ill sing if you play.....i picked up that guitar and 8 weeks later release our first album. 2 years later we are about to release number 2...perfect love story cuz we just married too. Never fuckin tell anyone you cant especially not yourself.
Oh it's actually a lot easier than you think. It's only daunting to look at, once you get your own guitar and a few basic chords down, and you get some dexterity in your fingers, it gets to be sooo much fun. I started in my late 30's (I'm 44 now) an man, do I wish I'd have never told myself I couldn't do it when I was younger. Best thing I ever did for myself was pick it up and give it a try! Trust me, just give it a shot if your interested, future you will thank me. You get out what you put in!
dude its a try and try and try again till you lose your mind and find music one day you will master the art of just keep on keeping on bro you got this !!!!!
Probably not tuned or you are doing something wrong (might be settings or *very* cheap gear and I really mean cheap cuz these days even a mid cheap can make killer tone)
Saving these for myself to learn 0:00 7 nation army 3:40 paint it black 4:20 Ain’t talking bout love 5:13 Smells like teen spirit 8:24 Californiacation 9:06 The man who sold the world 10:42 knocking on heavens door 11:10 master of puppets 11:50 highway to hell 12:06 sweet child o mine 12:something : Come as you are 13:10 don’t stop me nowwwww 14:00 what’s up? 14:16 we’re not gonna take it
Ive gone onto other videos and seen the basic seven nation army and smoke on the water etc. This is absolutely amazing dude. Did it in 1 go. You deserve more likes and subscribers man
Super vidéo bien détaillée , les 25 minutes sont passées trės vite ! Des années de travail pour en arriver là où un don comme toi . Vive les guitaristes et vive le rock'n'roll ! 👏🤘🇫🇷
Some beginner friendly but beautiful solos I would suggest for maybe another 50 are: - Albatross - Peter Green - Something - The Beatles - Patience - Guns and Roses - Edie - The Cult - Fire Woman - The Cult - I Was Made... - The Kiss - Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd. Great work you are doing and your playing is A W E S O M E. Thank you
thank you ..that is brilliant. It really helps to have the tab at the top of the screen as RU-vid's player progress bar is forever in the way otherwise.
Really, only today I was able to read by Guitar Pro. I'm going to reconsider everything I said. The content is fully usable. Especially before listening to the follow-up instructions. Thank.🥴
Amazing video ! Thanks ! What about : Pink Floyd : Lost for words ; The Beatles : Something + While my guitar gently weeps ; Jimi Hendrix : Hey Joe ; Scorpions : Still loving you ; Paul McCartney : Maybe i'm amazed ; Pink Floyd : Time ; Chris Rea : The road to Hell ; Lenny Kravitz ; Believe...
I'm here every once in 2 months and that way i can see how much i progress. I mean when the first time i watch this video all of this seems impossible and now i can do like 60% of them maybe or more
The man who sold the world is here, even when I would guess it's more like a riff not a solo. I don't know if there is a better reason for it to be in the list.
There are some pretty taff solos in here. Prebend and release, 2 tone bends, fast triat slides etc. Dont be fooled and think as a beginner you can play them. You easily need a few months or even years to get that tone and speed. Look at sultan of swing. To play it this accurate and fast wirh your fingers you need at least 2 Years guitar experience.
I somehow got really addicted to playing guitar since the lockdown started and I had a lot of time so I was playing for around 2 to up to like 6 hours a day so after around 6 months of playing guitar I could play the whole sultans of swing song and also tuff shit like neon by John Mayer😂, all right notes but not perfectly clean of course but now after playing around 1,5 years I got it sounding near identical
Hi Guillaume, if there was a version of these backing tracks that lasted for a good 3 to 4 min for each song, I would be sure to buy it. I previously purchased your 100 easy riffs package and found that with each backing track lasting 30 secs or so, it was far from ideal for me. So I tried using audacity to "copy and paste" to extend each backing track, but it was problematic in terms of achieving smooth joining together of the bits I copied and pasted. Ending up spending hours to do that just for a few songs like "Suzie Q" and "Highway to Hell" and gave up after I achieved poor results. Not complaing, but I guess I am just providing a suggestion/ request here- is there any chance of you selling a package where each backing track is a good 3 to 4 min long? Yes, I am that idiotic - I would play a single riff round and round for 3 to 4 min... haha.... thank you for listening!
just avoid audacity for anything related to music... it only serves a good purpose for voice recording. If you had used free trails for fl studio or ableton your work would have been so much easier, for instance you just need to select the track and hit ctrl+b in fl studio to extend the loop
