i think they patch it out. Cant put animals into some elses bed, and if i just put it in sleeping bag, i can attack them either.

You can take this training method all the way up to 100’s with bad prosthetic limbs. Two bad arms can reduce your strength and dex by something wild like 94%. Those make it more viable to train since your damage goes way down

You can do an advanced version of this training method too, tho it requires some research. Once you research the skeleton repair bed go find a broken skeleton at obidience or the black desert, fight him to the point that they loose a leg, it doesn't matter witch and 1 is enough. Take your 1 legged prison or to your house or base and put him on the skeleton bed. Even when fully healed the guy won't leave the skelly bed, and seeing how the skelly bed heals robots faster than the normal bed does biologicals you'll be able to train much longer before having to take a break for the prisoners sake. Just be sure to lock the guy up before you reload or exit the game, since restarting or reloading the game will cause them to get out of the skeleton bed and slowly try to crawl to safety. If you then load up your trainee to be over 80% encumbered AND u make him carry someone you will see strength level up as well. You can also collect crap weapons, like really the least damaging versions of hackers katanas and so on and use those to practice your weapon skill. Using this robot prison er training method does kind of break the game, since you'll end up with an unbeatable squad within the first couple days of training

very good guide, my only other tip is make sure to train your dex/martial arts up to your "goal" level before you start training strength. that way you stay with low martial arts damage as long as possible (which means you get more hits on the gorillo) it will just help you save time if you sequence like that.

In mourn you can glitch the white gorrillo near the stairs and train any weapon stat he will still be able to attack after you hit him a couple times but to re glitch him just run down the stairs slightly.

It helps a lot! Bravo! The trick is to wait until the state of the holded gorillo returns back to "normal"

The animal bed stuck glitch kind ruins the immersion for me, but almost all the training guides just use this glitch... If I gotta break the immersion,I would just FCS the stat tho.

Trying this with a beak thing, it works, but it's kinda slow due to the fact that I keep beating it into unconsciousness and then have to wait for it to recover. Maybe with a full room of them (in a house or outpost you own) it would be faster. I think you can arrange the beds so your swings hit multiple enemies at once also that poor girl got named *gargle* lmao

To make it even better, I just got 2 gorilas at the same time, literal 50 dex and kendo in 1h.

i ended up mix and mashing this with my cat start, going to squint asap, buy a bagpack, go to the shek ruins, loot all the goodies, go to adamag and sell your stuff, stay the night and trin thievery to 50+ (start with easy pickups, drop, unpause, pick up, pause, drop again, rinse and repeat. i arrived in the hive village on day 2 in the morning with about 30k cats and left the hive village on day 4 with strength, dex, martial, stealth and thievery 50+, a backpack and 26k cats.

Counter to limb dmg for martial arts is the Asassian rags, as it reduces martial art skill dmg by 100%, although it says only fists it also protects legs for some reason but don’t complain it’s useful all the same as it saves time for you to heal up which is good in case you get jumped by something while waiting for the gorillo or two to heal back up

Vain will always my favorite place, i can set up my base very near that hive and no HN or Shek bother me, only dust bandit and black dragon ninja sometimes coming. Now talking about training, theres always some gorillo that volunter as the sparing partner. build a building at least the L house, bring the gorillo up and send my trainee to fight the gorillo. Put all the crew as pasive so nobody would distrub the training session. This is would increase the dexterity, tought, attack, defence , weapon (sabre,katana etc ),strenght,dodge and also medical skill when the gorillo down so the trainee can heal him. and make sure you give the trainee the best armor ,the heavy armor if you can afford it, to avoid any limbs loss or death.

Ah yes, the Kenshi equivalent of Rocky training in a meat locker. Later on you can capture an elder beak thing or the great white gorillo to increase the ceiling for good gains and extended sessions. Good method for challenge and gimmick runs, but not very satisfying in regular play since you are not able to see the active progression from wimp to warrior. Worth noting that the beak things and gorillos of Vain are good training for a fresh character regardless, being statistically tough but pushovers with sufficient micro, so there's a worthwhile takeaway for people worried about the immersion breaking aspect.

Very good and effective method! I would also reccomend to carey something while doing this to boost you strength gain xp by another 25% You can get your character to 25% strength gain xp encumbering yourself, and in order to go over 25 you need to carry someone which would be a flat 25%

I found a fix if its not working pick up the gorillo, head to the hub and Put it on the ground, just before they're about to regain consciousness, right click and hold over "pick up" , once they stand up, release the mouse button to pick them up before they attack you. As you are carrying them, save the game, then reload and head back to the hiver village

So I tried this with 2 beak things. Carried them home to Okran's Pride and got my guy up to martial arts 50 with them. Then I went out to look for better training dummies, and brought home the great white gorillo. I've been training with him for a while now, it's great with so much health, and I can even train my normal weapons on him without KO'ing for a while. BUT, for some reason, this trick stopped working suddenly. I've been following the steps you give in other comments multiple times but it just doesn't work anymore. The only thing I haven't tried is importing, cause I'm scared it will make him disappear.

I don't get using exploits and bugs to cheat in Kenshi. At that point just edit your save or use mods.

I keep trying this and i never get the chance to attack the sleeping gorillo. Tried everything to get jt to work. Reloading healing it movjng it to a different bed. Nothin

I have an interesting issue, the game where I did this trick my characters pretty much were just completely unable to level thievery lol.

Itzs not working, i even heal the gorilla and picked it up and paid for the bed many times, the timer restarts, or it just stay there lying on the bed forever in critical condition and i cant fight it

You can do this even faster if you take the gorillo to the Rebel Base Bar north of The Hub as the beds will make them recover faster, and are completely free to use, I suggest hiring another character so another can go back to the hive and get more gorillos. Also, to avoid them rag-dolling out of the bed I suggest one of three things: 1. Put them in a cage then pick them up (or break them out without being seen if you don't own a cage), this will force them to "stand up". 2. Put them on the ground, just before they're about to regain consciousness, right click and hold over them, once they stand up, release right mouse button to pick them up before they attack you. 3. As you are carrying them, save the game, then reload, this will make them "stand" on the bed next time you put them in one. Once you are skillful enough to take on Iron/Security spiders, you can do this with them on a Repair bed, they heal much faster, especially if you repair them as well as getting some skill points on robotics. The best punching bags I've found to date though, are the Great White and King gorillos, but I suggest you take them to the slavers, save, then put them in a slave cage until they get "enslaved" (sometimes they get killed tho, so that's why you save), buy them, won't be cheap, 40k each, but they're worth it, and now they will be marked as allies (green cursor), carry them to your base and put them in any bed you own, and just wail at them forever, the good thing about having them marked as allies, is that your units won't go hostile on them and ruin your training by coming to help you beat it, and the gorillos themselves won't go aggro on you either.

I couldnt get it to work with gorrilos I'd just stick with beak things if I were you.

idk if mods can conflict with picking up unconcious animals but I don't get a prompt to pick them up anymore

If this is vanilla level up, then what wrong with mods like Advanced Training ? Same result but not for free and you need more, probably, time for level up.

I thought i was smart by buying a trader backpack, loading it up with copper and run around hehehe. Tell you what, str, acro, and toughness after being beaten to a pulp numerous times does work hehe. Just no ma skill. Time to look at that hive :-)

Bed exploits make training weapon mods seem balanced, so if you want a more immersive way, consider installing training weapons instead. That way you at least risk the prisoner escaping.
