They tend to become paranoid because they fear for their security since it is not natural for a woman to command such respect or power. For god sakes why do u think they had eunics working in the palace it was to prevent men from wanting to overthrow or form their own dynasties passed on from father to son. Women typically do no possess a broader range of vision other than their immediate surroundings and I would argue they dont because they have no incentive to do so when things are just given to them or the rules or bent for their ends. She brought about the end of the kingdom and the destruction of the culture of china all because of her selfishness and grip on power.

The Qing royal family were Jurchen people(renamed Manchu) and are closely related to the modern Orochens,Evenki and Nanai people of north eastern Siberia(Now modern Manchuria and russian far east region) from where they stormed down from and conquered China 500 years ago as feared horse archers.

Judging is easy. Read Jung Changs biography of her. Men before her and after her made a big mess but most (men) are still admired as heros. As a woman she will never get the respect she deserves.

@@user-nx9iq7me4z if you believe what people who wanted to proof she was a monster, that is easy, but is it true and did she do it, while she herself was near death. 50 years of moving China through a chaos created by the rest of the world, tells a different story. She saved China from disintegration. What came after her was much worse. The choice of the new Emperors might be her failure. But all the men around her did not help solve that problem. And the men after her really made a mess of it.

I recall in "Ruyi's Royal love in THE PALACE", when "Consort Shu" first introduced herself as a "Yehe Nara", everyone become real quiet cos apparently there was a prediction that a woman from the "Yehe Nara" clan would be the downfall of the Qing dynasty. Now after watching the stories about CiXi, I am wondering if that prediction was true or was it added for dramatic effect since everyone knows what CiXi did later in life?

lmao she passed a few half-hearted reforms then stopped the only real reform movement by imprisoning and murdering her successor along with all his reformers. Cixi is easily one of the worst emperors in Chinese history but people are always revising said history to be sympathetic toward her.

She did open up the country but she then turned 180 degrees on her own policies to appease her conservative allies in the government who, as conservatives, strongly opposed opening up the country for trade and industrial revolution. So, no, she didn't try hard.
