50 New Nintendo Game Concepts ft.

I feel like Wario and Waluigi world could work as a 2d platformer, kind of like knucles' chaotix

I love when creators discuss concepts and ideas for games besides just talking about games that ecist. Its nice to flex the imagination a little.

You made the ArcSystemWorks Zelda fighting game comment years ago in a different video and it still keeps me up at night. Now that you've provided a more fleshed out idea, I think I'm going have major issues with insomnia. I NEED IT NOW.

Oh my god, Pokemon Zoo Tycoon would be amazing!

The next Nintendo console should also give you the option to boot into My Nintendo Experience automatically so you can recreate “the good old days” if you wish to do so.

My favorite pitches: Custom Robo Holosseum, StarFox Rocket Roll, Gannondorf Gauntlet, Super Smash Bros Matchset, Stronghold of Umbra, Pushmo Quest, Project X Zone 3, F Zero X00, Nintendo Remix, My Nintendo Experience, Startropics reboot, Wario & Waluigi World, and a new Ice Climbers

If I may throw one of my own into the mix, I've had an idea for a game set in the Splatoon universe for a while now with a bit of a Monster Hunter gameplay style: •Set in the outer fringes of Inkopolis, far from anywhere that would be considered "fresh", you play as an Inkling, Octoling or Cuttler (more on those later) who have been recruited to a vigilante-esque ragtag crew who defend Inkopolis from an insidious threat from the sea that makes Salmonids look quaint. •This threat is the Mackeroids, mutated giant mackerel monsters who can neutralise the ink that makes up the population of Inkopolis with their own oily secretions, and have tough scales that require removing before you can splat it. •Weapons are divided into 2 categories in this idea: Scalers and Splatters. Splatters are pulled from the main series and behave essentially the same. Scalers are more melee-based weapons made to break scales off. These would have a splat mode of their own, but it would be nowhere near as effective as a Splatter in this case. •Due to being a group unaffiliated with the Splatoons, any extra equipment (ink packs, healing items, subweapons, etc,) will need to be made in the field. How? DUMPSTER DIVING. In every area there are several dumpsters with crafting materials for you to throw together tools KND-style. •Mackeroids, as mentioned earlier, excrete an oil that can neutralise ink. Wherever the oil lands, ink cannot stick, and getting it on you cuta down your maximum health. To this end, items built around water and soap are used to clean the area and yourself (picture Curling Bombs and Sprinklers used in this fashion). •In-between missions, you can learn new techniques from your squad's Cuttler handler, as well as build and upgrade weapons and buy and upgrade your gear. And now some lore I came up with specifically for this: •Cuttlers are a subculture of Cuttlefishes who, instead of living within the city, have dedicated their lives out at sea to stop the Mackeroids before they reach Inkopolis. As such, the concept of freshness is almost alien to them, as their duty takes over their life. They are most easily identified by their unchanging navy-blue ink colour. •Usually they do a good enough job that the Mackeroids never reach Inkopolis, but several Cuttlers have washed ashore on various flotsam and jetsam as of recent, and when they returned to consciousness, some of them remember being attacked by people in full-body hazard suits with a K on them. Without the Cuttler Flotillas out there holding the Mackeroids back, they are heading for Inkopolis, and these deposed Cuttlers have begun setting up these vigilante groups to fight off the Mackeroids, drawing recruits from the fringe of Inkopolis society. •These recruits are trained in Scaler usage (it's just assumed that everyone in Inkopolis can handle a splatgun), impromptu equipment building and especially the Cuttler Super Jump technique, allowing a Super Jump from anywhere at a sacrifice of a large amount of ink. I understand this isn't exactly structured very well, but I just had to word vomit this idea out somewhere so I could get it out of my head. If you've read the whole thing, thanks I guess?

Puppet Players is probably one of the games that stuck out to me the most because like. I’m a massive Henson fan, and I’ve been WANTING try out puppeteering as well as just, get some kind of new Muppets game with a fun and unique party mode to it. So, ticking off both niches at once? Absolutely gorgeous idea. I need this in my life now. Bowser’s deserved his own platforming adventure for years now and Bowser Odyssey would be the perfect idea for that. Would absolutely love it if he ends up either unintentionally saving the day with each location he visits or just does the opposite by fighting the local baddie of the region. Speaking of Platformers, Pokepark 3 is a big need: I’ve been waiting years for it come back and it DESERVES to be fresh and fun again. Also to keep the whole “use your friends in mini games” type stuff too. Wario & Waluigi World is also a big need, I’ve fantasized over a slapstick “play with your ‘buddy’” type game for Wario for years now, and Pokémon Zoo Tycoon also seems like it’d be a hit. Would love to just, farm Pokemon and hang out with them instead of having to run around all wild. Plus, maybe it can work as its own “Safari Zone” type thing too? Still, overall this video was amazing and I’d be excited for practically everything in this being really. Thanks for popping off with this interesting video, Sock and WhatTheyShouldDo!

One thing I'd like to add to that F-Zero X00 concept idea is an immersive cockpit camera view which has never been done before so that the player can experience what it's like zooming through the field from the pilot's POV.

Fossil Fighters Extinction, a Battle Royale but with dinosaurs.

I have a pitch: Rhythm Heaven Duet It’s a typical Rhythm Heaven game, but like WarioWare Move It, some games have two player compatibility that plays off each player’s inputs.

I think with how you combine the Troopers in those tanks can be really OP and unfair, so maybe I think they ditch online in the end.

F-Zero Fire Emblem The strategic gameplay reinvents FE as one-move-one-turn format where the cars are "planned" into position, while the combat cutscene is a much more involved racing section, that utilizes memorization of the altered relative positions of the cars and their special effects as part of the gameplay. This would be reminiscent of co-driver signals in dirt rally. Donkey Konga Line Generative Donkey Kong Country characters play the part of Miis, in a game to follow up Smash bros where you toss expendable Kongs around BY THE DOZEN like Pikmin or Wonderful101, and every one has their own special moves and features, amounting to something like a Special neutral that you ahve to manage adn cycle through in your stack to push through a hectic obstacle course. Super Ice Climber Competetive co-op take on Wario's woods, where the players race ahead of the other in mirroring sides of an upwards-spiraling hollow mountain. If enough headway is taken, the winning player helps the other to skip up a level so they match, while getting to yoink all the upgrade items dropped as loot in the trail that the losing player also has to skip for dawdling. Fans of Puyo Pop know where this is going. Every run begins with selecting from a limited but expanding set of upgrades and items reminiscent of 2D zelda games, in a fashion like a roguelike dungeon starting kit.

Might as well include a silly pitch of my own here in the comments. A game where Peach disappears and mario and Luigi get into an argument that causes them to go full marvel civil war over who rules the mushroom kingdom. With the goal being to recruit characters to your side to take over.

Y'know a Zelda 3d fighter made by Namco would be an oddly specific return to roots for me considering Link being in Soul Calibur 2 was my introduction to Zelda at all

Puppet Players is sheer genius - so Nintendo! Pokemon Zoo Tycoon is really good too. I reckon a collage Paper Mario game could well happen - I'd been trying to think of another paper twist and this seems like the one. I've often thought Splatoon would suit an ice hockey game - it wouldn't be on ice but the sliding mechanics would feel similar.

I liked arms but I think arms 2 would be more fun if it was like a Just Dance fighting game. I know it wont happen because it would probably need leg straps like ring fit adventure and people wouldnt go out of their way to try it for an arms game. So I guess if did a kinect sort of thing for their next console it could work. I just think a strong single player that teaches moves with different arms would feel really fun.

Nintendo should do an all star MOBA (Besides Pokèmon Unite) in the vein of Heroes Of The Storm or even an Mario All Star Racing!

That Paper Mario idea is straight up brilliant. Even if Mario RPG being remade hopefully means PM will go back to the old formula now

Here a game ideal a Stanley the bug man platformer Setting idk (it might take place in the Mario universe like a retro city, a dark kingdom or a steampunk city. Or have it in a different universe that just happens have Stanley the bug man) Plot someone has ruined your garden and it’s up to u to find new plant’s for your garden and get revenge on that person The gameplay will be like a 2d Mario (but with no ground pound) but with a weaker bug spray and u can spray left, right, down and up and you may of have noticed that I called the bug spray weaker and that because it dose not instantly kill enemies it just stunes enemies so in order to finish them of u have to run up and kick the enemy of the level (Mario bros style) And anyone wondering how stomping on enemies will work well Stanley has to jump on the enemy to kill it but if a enemy is in the air instead of jumping of the enemy he climbs on it and rides it down like a ground pound and the will kill the enemy (and he can jump of the enemy to but it will live) (And also maybe have a Wario land 4/pizza tower escape thing in there to) And that all I got for this ideal

Vanpool shut down though, however I have leads they might be being merged with Arzest or Nintendo. A specific company is more of an IP unto itself, and sometimes it's better to go the Next Level games route, other times AlphaDream. Still have to reprint all your business cards either way. I WONDER what the AlphaDream staff is doing lately to make ends meet.

“Lack of originality” no lol it’s a very unique game in look and gameplay People didn’t like the lack of content The art style and gameplay no one has an issue with It’s gotten better since
