Half the people in the video: "This is so hard!!! How does anyone do this?" Lady in the glasses: "The most ridiculously easy thing to make in the world."
@@irabbit_ in fairness I do think that was in my grandma's recipe because she was from the let's put jello in everything generation. My mom uses pinnaple juice
People are so dumb not generalising but from what I’ve seen and heard 75 percentof Americans at minimum are straight up dumb 😂 Like 65% of them thought choc milk comes from brown cows
That sounds like something you might be better off not knowing. What I REALLY wanna know is, why did the producers saw a nude guy walk in and were like ok that's normal, just make him wear an apron and we can start shooting. Nay-sayers will say he is wearing pants, but we know better.
Could Epicurious and Bon Appetit do a video together where Carla does Back to Back Chef with one of these guys (Stephen? The Grandma? Hot Asian Guy?) or Emily from 4 Levels? Please? Haha, I’ve requested for this in three videos already. Here’s hoping they see this 🤞☺️
actually, there was a time when they took some sort of hiatus and broke up .... and then they had a reunion and come back... and then she tragically died :(
Yes I finally learned how to make home made cranberry sauce. My family and I tried once before but we really didn’t know what we were doing and it came out as a soup. Yes second attempt guaranteed awesomeness !
What are they doing??? Dump cranberries, a couple tablespoons of water, a cup of sugar, a piece of lemon zest. Cook low until the sugar is dissolved, increase to medium until berries pop. I make about a dozen batches every holiday season.
I love how you can tell when the chef is doing something kind of unknown compared to when he just has to cut a vegetable. He is so much more enthousiastic
I think one time, on one of these how-to type videos, she wore something (hat or hoodie, I forget) from her school that told me she knows her craft. The school was a cooking school: Johnson and Wales.
Pretty much, just easier. I nearly lost it when they started to smash the fruits. I mean, that fruits will fall apart when you start to boil them is such a basic thing to realise.
All these people talking about Cranberry Sauce being an essential part of the Holidays and than there’s me, the European who has never even heard of such a thing
For the Sugar Free version - use cranberries (fresh or frozen), sugar free cranberry juice, water and one packet of sugar free orange jello. Cook the cranberries in half of the water called for by the orange jello till popped/done, remove from the heat, add the jello and add the cranberry juice. Refrigerate till needed.
namjoon's jiggly tiddies my mother always made it from scratch and it’s honestly so simple. The only time I’d use canned is if I couldn’t get my hands on fresh ones.
Same, I have never in my life made or eaten cranberry juice. Sounds like a very american thing to me. But I wouldn't have failed that hard to be honest. I think I would have made something edible.
I do every time if I'm not at my relatives. Hell, last year I stocked up on cranberries when they went on sale after the holidays and made some every few weeks. Love the stuff. Not quite such a fan of the can jellied cranberries.
I know I shouldn't be surprised but it still is a surprise that people have issues with something so simple. It's simply cranberries in boiling water with sugar added to taste and then any additions like OJ. I'm guessing the people that had problems never cooked any berries before for a dish.
blumountaindew well the lead singer passed away in January of 2018. So they might have gotten a new lead singer. I was under the impression that they no longer performed without her
Simple cranberry sauce 1 12oz bag of cranberries 1 cup water 1 cup sugar 1 orange Add berries, sugar, water to cold pot. Cut orange, remove any seeds that may want to come out, squeeze orange juice into pot, their the orange hull in too. Bring water to a boil, turn the heat down to a simmer, let cook for like half an hour. Done.
I'm way too pleased that I was able to more or less guess how to make this, despite never making cranberry sauce. I'm no expert, but just having some basic cooking knowledge helps a ton.
Oh, man, I love homemade cranberry sauce. I make mine with lime and chopped up chipotle peppers. Delicious. Absolutely the best condiment to put on that dry turkey breast my parents have had in the oven all day long.
@@thelasttimeitookashowerwas7069 I know he is a home cook. I was just sharing some info in case the original commenter was interested in seeing him prepare other dishes.
