Is the outer of that gauge in mph or kmh? If it's kmh, is there something wrong with it? I'm not hating, I've just started watching the build, but if the outer is in kmh... The stock sr20de I have accelerates faster, no hate, just wondering why its doing that
Stock bottom end/head just new rings/bearings/seals and a larger intake cam. STI 555cc injectors, ATP/Garrett 50trim, Street tune done by myself, think it was like 18ish degrees of timing at 10psi. And the temp gauge reads high on the cluster, I always keep my laptop hooked up to monitor everything when driving.
I'd like to hear from you, since you have quite a bit of experience modding your personal sentra, what should I start off with when modding mine? I plan on giving it a turbo, and I'd like to know if the suspension and brakes will need to be swapped before I start giving it some more power.
Well I dont know much about the B15 chassis, but I know that some stiffer engine mounts will put the power to the ground alot better and make the car accelerate better, mainly the front "dog-bone" mount if it has one, or the rear one, both which prevent the engine from torquing front/back, but only the front would be an quick project. That and some good suspension would help the car from lifting/sagging under hard acceleration and just put power to the wheels/ground. And some quick engine mods good for a few HP would be the typical Intake/Header/Exhaust. Hope that helps let me know if you have anymore questions
Thanks! I've noticed significant amounts of "shift" when giving it some gas when viewing the engine. I didn't think stiffer engine mounts would be necessary but now that you've pointed it out it was kind of obvious. I'd like to know how you managed to get that thing to do burnouts in the past? Mine either has way too sticky tires or not enough power to ground to get er' rippin but you seem to have no problem.
No problem man glad to help! And for a burnout, not sure if your version of Sentra has an LSD trans or not, but if it does it would be harder to break the tires loose because both would want to spin. But either way, without having a decent amount of power over stock it will be hard to get the tires to spin without revving the crap out of it and dumping the clutch lol
Seems my tires grip way too much, I suppose that is a good thing though. I put on some really worn out tires and all it did was burnouts, I guess 190bhp is too much for a tire that is showing wire... lol.
Hey man how's it going, I've been thinking about trying to Turbo my SE R for a while now and I'm trying to decide between saving up for an sr20det or trying to do a de + t, I also do not currently know all the parts required to Turbo yeah, I saw the video on you drilling the block for the oil return but besides an ECU and lines for oil to the turbo and intercooler I don't really know what turbo would need
You ever want to sell, let me know. I probably won't have the money, but if I do and you're looking to sell it... I want it. First car was a 92 Sentra xe, never got to do what I wanted with it so I've been looking for a clean one ever since
