Not gonna lie, watching Mohg use Nihil! to kill the birds, and then spawn in his own wings, looks ritualistic as fuck. Like he absorbed the birds and gained their ability to fly
@@hidan407then if u keep dying? He will continue to get stronger untill he comes unbeatable then we will throw him to melania and see if she can still get her revenge
@@romeonoane1286 When Mohg uses his most powerful attack he counts down in Latin "Tres. Duo. Unus. Nihil! Nihil! Nihil!" which is just "Three. Two. One. Zero! Zero! Zero!" translated. When he hits Nihil though he does massive AOE damage and heals himself at the same time, and powers up with a new move set and gains wings.
@@skarlock5257 Just a little correction: "Tres. Duo. Unus. Nihil! Nihil! Nihil!" means "Three. Two. One. Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!" . The word Nihil means "nothing", while to say "zero" the word is "Nulla". Here, nothing and zero are a very different thing. While zero is a mathematical concept: the representation of something without quantity, "nothing" is a more abstract concept that can represent the total lack of substance. Mogh chant using "NIHIL" (nothing), evokes a feeling of overwhelming power and a sudden devastation, the notion is that he is erasing everything and leaving no trace of it's existence or essence. If you change the word for "zero" (nulla), it evokes a more controlled count down where he is just trying to reduce something to zero in a gradual way. Compare that with nihil where immediate and total annihilation is implied. In the game he's just trying to reduce your health bar to zero tho lol (but the impact of the chant using "nothing" ratter than "zero" is pretty pretty different; it's an abstract concept instead vs a physical one)
Gideon’s fights are always hilarious cause he monologues before the fight. Him monologuing to a legion of hawks has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen so far
i also like the irony that he is so egotistical and full of himself that he steals from the demigods corpses to fight you, but gets absolutely bodied by a bunch of murder birds with swords for legs
Man's got zero Fire Resist, half of his Health bar was stolen by Elden Beast, and he doesn't super crank up the combos until like 60% HP. Stands no chance against "nuke him with 50 high damage Fire-based opening attacks in Round 1" strats
Those blood rings activating with each nihil sounds so alien and so good. And aslo, the scen of those birds being thrown at all directions away from the scarlet bloom looked awesome.
That's weirdly common in these enemy vs. enemy videos. IMO the Scarlet Aeonia is the reason her second phase is easy, but that depends on a human's ability to get out of the way and stay out of the danger zone, which most of the enemy AIs are not smart enough to do. And her flinch mechanic means that sometimes she'll just get bullied until that happens.
Gota love how he KEEPS including him in these just to BM. We ALL know he's never gone win one of these but watching him get DOGED on continues to entertain.
Finally, I've been dying to see how these guys would do! They're by far the most annoying enemy From has ever created, and this video demonstrates how powerful they are. The fire giant took like half of them out with the first hit and they still got him down to 50% muuuch quicker than many of your previous combatants. Also, the way they ANNIHILATED Radagan was amusing.
The most annoying enemy From has ever created? They're free if you don't just go in all Unga Bunga. There are much worse enemies in this game alone, never mind From's whole back catalogue.
I'm not gonna lie, the up close explosions made me lose my shit more than a few times. That was unreasonably and consistently funny for no good reason.
I imagine Gideon turning around to give his speech. He sees the birds and tries to sneak past them really silent and really slow to not trigger an attack...just to step on a twig half way through...
The thought that Malenia and Radahn didn't have to fight to a standstill, but rather just slap knives onto a few birds and give em a keg and send them on their way makes the lore so much funnier.
extremely sporting of the 50 hawks to wait for gideon to finish his little speech before immediately throwing 50 barrels of gunpowder at his frail old man body
Placidusax's design as a boss that punishes dps racing by forcing you to deal with all their most powerful attacks in a row is a thing I really like about them. also makes for a ton of clutch moments in things like this.
These birds reminded me of the time at my grandfather's farm, when you walked through the pasture and the hawks had nests high up in the trees, you passed by, and they came just like these eagles hah
@@Count.SarumanOnly this is his best opening attack for this kind of scenario since it has an AoE. Alternatively, he would have simply done a long lunge with his hammer straight into the crowd. The only question is why, compared to others, he received so much damage from barrels lol
@@Xgenstudioz777 1)He has a relative fire weakness. 2)He dived straight into the crowd and was perfectly surrounded instead of partially. 3)The explosions immediately broke his poise and allowed the birds to obliterate him.
Was surprised to see Rennala and Radhan score kills given how little health they pack compared to most other bosses and how much windup their ranged have, TBH
Fight summaries... Godrick: Well well well if it isn't the consequence of my own (grafting) actions. Renalla: 50 seagulls vs child holding a bag of chips Radahn: Beautiful synchronised barrel throws end it early Morgott: The Boy did it! The armour on his coughing fit pulled through. I thought he threw it with the sword rain but he clutched it out. Fire Giant: Type match up is bad, birds are weak to elbow drops. That one hawk did their darndest though Godskin Duo: Reduced to skeletons. Instant dopamine Malekith: Some good sweeping attacks but low poise cost the fight. Placidusax: Bold strategy of flying higher than the flying mob paid off Rykard: Interesting as Rykard's AoE lava normally provides healthy chip damage the birds avoid most of it and live longer than other mobs. Left both phases more vulnerable than normal Mogh: BWAAAAAAM BWAAAAAAAM BWAAAAAAAM Astel: Should have stayed in space Malenia: "nice explosion, here's mine" Ofnir: Nice of him to heal so the birds could hit him more Godfrey: Strangely, better at killing birds without the cat Radagon: Basically in the Yamcha pose Elden Beast: So frightened it forgot it's frames
