I've been playing Geometry Dash for ages now, and over that time I've come up with all sorts of small quality-of-life improvements that I would love to see in a future update! This video goes over 50 fanmade ideas for GD that are all somewhat realistic and easy to program.
I don't really expect any of these things to show up in Geometry Dash 2.2, nor do I really want that considering the update has already taken several years. Consider this video to be the Official Unofficial Sequel to 100 Annoying Things in Geometry Dash™

I would love the option to refresh other player's profiles just like you can refresh your own. Its annoying when someone says "new post" but you already entered their profile once, meaning that you have to go a completely roundabout way to see

I think it would be nice in 2.2 for there to be an option to change between updates. Like, there could be a button that lists all updates, and if you pressed one, the game would basically go back in time to that update. It might be a bit hard to implement, but I think it would be cool.

51. Option to search for levels in the version they were made. (for example you could choose 1.9 and Dark Paradise should show up).Oh and it should at least work for first versions not the updated one but should also keep the current ver.

This is actually totally doable, since GD levels have their version stored. Although I don't think any levels before 1.7 have it, but you could go by upload date I suppose

Here's a hot take, or not, Idk. The standard for rated levels should go way down, where as the previous standard should be preserved for daily, weekly, and epic rated levels.

Well that was a little hostile. I made this comment a while ago and I should have clarified that I meant decoration, not gameplay. And I acknowledge it would slow things down to rate things more often, the standard has been set and it’s hard to change. I just thought it would be cool for creators to get more recognition as it’s hard to without a rate. This was purely hypothetical and I never thought it realistic. I’ve never gotten a CP, and don’t really care. So chill with the personal attacks.

5:06 I'd like to add on to that: If you copied one of your levels, it shouldn't show the copy mark *unless* the level you copied was a copy of a level not by you. If there wasn't a copy mark for all levels you copied off yourself, you could copy someone's level so it becomes yours, and then copy that level again so it doesn't show the mark.

Few notes: - Meltdown/GDW/Subzero level songs will be removed from the game files in 2.2 because they bloat the file size - Player collision channel is confirmed to be in 2.2 But other than that, these are great! Lots of these would be absolute life savers.

1: Like a "professional" editor it shouldn't open some menus here, it has to open an every-editor menu with such buttons as de-select, copy, paste, duplicate, layer settings, groups, size, etc. 2: About the middle click, I think would be better if it will delete the block your cursor is on. It extends the "Whole PC" feature that when you middle click on a tab, it closes. 3: it is cool to scroll up and down, and as a professional editor it should have this feature, BUT zoom in and out also has to be here, so actually it can use CTRL+Mouse Wheel to do so, like everywhere

I would like to see a "Tap trigger", that just makes the cube jump when activated, and you can modify the tap time to control ship, wave, etc. Would be perfect for auto levels, auto parts, etc

One more suggestion I would add: add the ability to hide the player’s trail in the editor so that way if you beat an extreme demon like Cold Sweat or Kenos but you were too focused on the level to actually take a screenshot you could make a copy, go to the part you want to use as a thumbnail, disable the “show grid” option in the editor, (optionally, disable “follow player so that you can get a specific part of the level), and take a screenshot. Bam. Now you can make a good thumbnail while also basking in the glory of beating a top 10 demon.

Can we just add on the option to have an H block work on slopes. This would be EXTREMELY USEFUL! 1.Bug fixing would be easier 2. There would be an easier way to let the cube travel when using a dash orb 3. There would be new gameplay ideas that would actually work now.

I have had this one small but cool idea, what if there was a + button next to the demon count on your profile screen, and when you press it it shows you how many easy, medium, hard, insane, and extreme demons you have beaten. This would also be on other players profiles aswell. I would love to see if someone has beaten 12 easy, 4 medium and 1 hard demon, instead of the player has just beaten 17 demons overall.

The problem is that you need to type the entire word for it to be converted, and that counts towards the character limit even though its just a hyphen. For example, the word "sadist" is filtered for whatever reason, so you would need to put sadist(levelname)sadist, but you probably wont have enough space for the second one

I'd like to see a feature in the editor where you can click some kind of "start from specific pos" button then click somewhere to start, rather than having to place a start pos. it could make testing quicker if you're doing it in several places. Also, a countdown when you unpause the game so you can prepare yourself would be nice

also an open verification system would be good. like, if you upload an unverified level, it will display that it's unverified on the page and search results. you can also choose to filter out these levels while searching. the first person to beat the level with all coins will automatically verify it. this would be really helpful for people who don't wanna let others into their account to verify a level, but aren't skilled enough to beat it. and since there would be a lot of garbage levels with no effort, you can filter these kinds of levels out if you so wish.

I’ve got a good one: when you unpause the game, you can see your screen, but you get a one second timer to react before the game resumes. This would be better than the game automatically starting the second you unpause, because you can see what ur doing.

was binging through your videos and noticed at 1:25 there is a misplaced corner object and I was intrigued and thought you placed it there by mistake turns out it's actually there and now i'm curious if more people knew about it beforehand and wondering how many more of this misplaced/misaligned or missing objects exist for the official levels

It would be great if we had "if" trigger which moves are depending on player (gravity direction, game mode, speed, even dual, invise, trail effect from trigger and other). You need select one or couple of options, select combination for variant "true", group to apply "toggle" trigger move for "true" and another group for "false" (but you can ignore one of them and leave zero group)

Another one, you should be able to save practice attempts to go to the percentage of your desire but you have to go there before you can save. It will help a lot especially in XL levels
