The dents deserve no better DOOD. They aren't correctly paying him the charity donations they owe him for all his hard work. Why should he make their viewing experience better? SNORT
I'd say he is terrible at every FromSoft DLC, but that is not accurate. Not even terrible at any FromSoft game specifically, he is just terrible at all games.
Remember that he tried to gatekeep the DLC and said that everyone else who was playing it was just jumping on the hype train and didn't deserve to play it. He legitimately claimed that he was the only streamer worthy of playing it.
My favorite thing that DSP does is when he goes "Fhuck this, watch this..!" Then proceeds to get demolished over and over by whatever challenge he was dealing with.
Reminder that this is the dude that said you are a loser and coward if you use NPC or human summons, yet when his cheese magic build doesnt work he swaps back over to his Jump R2 build lmao
Dude ranted about damned kids these days demanding instant gratification. Spends like 30minutes on a boss then gives up never learning how to dodge any of it's attacks, comes back with a facetank build to tank every last hit and just mash jump R2.
@@GreaterGoodPrevails Just the basic old kamehameha infinite FP flash strategy, combined with cheesing MLGS charge attack for staggers (it got nerfed last patch). Combined with him claiming he doesn't read guides, but magically decided to start using Night Comet against Malenia which is the only way to really hit her with spells since she auto dodges other spells. He just instantly knew what works, as usual, since he's guide reading like a MFer. While claiming that he's not. That's the jist of the problem with DSP, if he just plays the game and does these things, whatever, who cares. But he wants to insist he doesn't read guides, he hasn't looked anything up, pretending he just so happens to find the cheesiest things possible in the game and he's an amazing gamer who overcame. While also chastising people for using spirit ashes or summoning, ranting just this prestream that spirit ashes make the game too easy, but then he does this lame poise tank jump R2 spam build to make the boss as easy as possible. Just standard DSP hypocrisy, lies and ego.
Phil using the exact same stun attack repeatedly, that's fine. The enemy using the same move that can counter the stun attack spam with hyper armor, BRO WHAT SUPER ARMOR SO UNFAIR! Unbelievable that people actually donate to this creature.
It doesn’t even have super/hyper armor. There’s only a few attacks in the game I can think of that do. He’s just dealing, like, no poise damage. This guys gonna have a field day with the final boss.
Spamms rolls with 0 timing, just spamms attacks until he runs out of stamina and doesnt even cares to try and dodge, but "SuPeR ArMoR AgAiN" "I cAnT gEt AwAy" "ThIS Dlc iS wAy To HaRd" "CaNt RoLl No StAmIna"
For two days now his chat has been telling him he shouldn't be locked on 100% of the fight and he pretends theyre wrong. I dont even know why these regards try to give this loser advice, might as well be yapping at a shoe.
Its funny. Sometimes he will explicitly look for hand holding in the chat to make himself look better. Other times he will slam his head against the boss like a stubborn baby after they gave him the sauce.
@@MichaelJohnson-ny6zsit's funny as well, when chat comes up with a good suggestion, Phil will claim that "we" came up with the solution. Despite the fact that Phil did almost nothing. If chat comes up with a suggestion that he doesn't like, he'll talk about idiot detractors in the chat trying to derail the stream.
@@MichaelJohnson-ny6zs And every time he explicitly asks for help in the chat, someone will find the solution for him, and then DSP will act as if he came up with the solution himself without bothering to thank the person. He always has to act like he's a big boy who doesn't need anyone's help, even when actively seeking answers from chat.
Imagine pressing the one button that would fix all of his camera issues. He has played every souls game and still doesn't understand that you shouldn't be locked-on all the time.
Well, that has it's own problems, but he tends to roll mostly back so gets into a series of panicked backsteps that result in him being against the wall. Unlocking the camera will often screw you, because you can lose track of the boss and get rear or side attacked. But rolling more forward and to the side around the boss can make it so you circle the boss rather than retreat into a wall.
@@whenpigsfly8178I can't really think of a single instance where unlocking the camera has screwed me. Situational awareness helps. I'm sure I died because of losing track of the boss a couple of times, but I legit can't remember it happening. Really not that much of a problem.
@@RenkoBernkastel Tbh, I tend to always keep the camera locked on, so maybe it's not as bad against a large boss as I fear. Not so great against small nimble opponents or those can jump/fly over you, then I want a lockon, but in a small arena with a big boss, maybe it's better to be unlocked..
Now he is going to try and cheese with the unga bunga build he did in his first playthrough. He will realize when he reaches Rennala that won’t work and it’s back to the drawing board. Edit: well my prediction aged like spoiled milk. 5 attempts he killed her with face tanking jump R2. +6 scadu levels though. 💀
@@GreaterGoodPrevails basicslly he uses these great hammers to jump r2 to do massive physical and poise dmg until boss staggers and then he riposted for massive dmg. Since he gets poise for doing those attacks he can basicslly get away with face tanking bosses, making it so he can kill them without having to learn their move sets to dodge them. Like I said, this will not work on later bosses including Rennnala. She will be too fast for him to land those attacks on land she doesn’t stagger meaning he will be eating massive dmg especially if he gets her in phase 2.
Using jump attacks wouldn't even be so bad, if there was actual thought behind it...dude just spam over and over, try after try, hoping to get the right boss RNG for it to work and kill the boss...Same thing he did with the death knight, spam spam spam until it finally worked, no intelligent thought behind it at all.
@@sharteel85 if he was using a jump attack to avoid the on ground frost in phase 2 then yeah I agree. But he is just doing it repeatedly to get a stagger and like you said, he is just doing it over and over again until the boss gives him the RNG he needs to stagger and kill it with just that.
I cannot wait for when he faces renalla I don't have the dlc yet but from all the gameplay videos I've watched he will get eaten spat out and then burned at that boss
The irony of him playing an intelligence build while he fails to adapt or any of his spells that aren't rock sling, night comet, comet azur, or spam moonlight heavies. He isn't even using carian slicer, one of the highest DPS spells in the game.
You know? I'm as bad as he is at playing video games, it's true. But I have one shred of dignity as a gamer: I don't complain about problems easily solved by entering a menu and changing volume settings. I'm not even sure what exactly does he want games to be like? So he doesn't like the open world exploration, but doesn't like the boss fights either, but he also won't put in the work to improve his character. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong: but he didn't even max out his flasks. If you look, you see +11 instead of +12. If you don't do the work, don't complain when you don't see results.
Honestly... that's what I do. I beat Rellana on my first try like that. By the time I got my bearings, the mimic already had Rellana at half health. The mimic tear is legit way better than me. Add some Shabriri's Woe to that (equip it before summoning the mimic and then unquip it, so that only the mimic draws aggression) and you can just sit back and watch as the game plays itself. 😀
Remember when one of the big donation milestones for his aniversary stream was putting on an normal ass vest? This man's fashion sense is as low as his dignity
He gets so irritated by minor things, it's the same where he refuses to put on hats when playing street fighter. I used to act like this when I was 20ish and got angry at games and even then I felt embarrassed by myself. Can't even imagine being 40 and acting like this
He hates experimenting and just wants the easiest, best build he can get. I don't know how anyone plays like that tbh, it seems so boring to be able to 1 hit kill everything.
Blows my mind this pigroach is calling this trashy basic build "unique" and "new". This is literally just a DS1 havelmonster build. What every first run noob ends up using, just a fat poisemonster to tank everything and chug estus and mash attack. And he thinks he's invented the light bulb here or something, when this is the most basic thing in Souls games.
Hes bad and only relies on ash of war spamming but actually has a valid point. The camera in this game does suck donkeydiq especially when fighting large targets and targets with multiple lockon points.
Fair enough, the camera is bad, but he's made his point, he doesn't need to re-re-re-repeat that over and over again. And past a certain point, you adapt to the camera conditions.
@@octavianpopescu4776 If youre playing up close and personal theres no adapting to the shoddy camera. You just hope it doesnt screw you over on vital moments. This vid is curated to make dsp look bad, naturally youre gonna see back to back clips of him btchin nd moaning. I dont watch the guy but its very appearant that some people just hate on him for the sake of hating on him
@@bennja010 I do well enough if I don't lock on. But yes, you're right, some people do like to dunk on him. I don't think anyone really hates him, but people do like to dunk on him.
Managing the camera is part of the game and it's part of positioning in third person games. Like many design choices, DSP often complains about mechanics as if it's a flaw not knowing that it's part of the game; like input queueing... Knowing your position on the battlefield, being aware of obstacles and walls, avoiding them without seeing them, and recovering when you do encounter them is intended.
Uhm WRAHNG MORAHN! I did absolutely everything correct, he's not beating me, it's just that he keeps instakilling me because of dropped inputs. Seriously. Ahahaha. Right? Snort.
Remember when people didn't try to defend the souls camera because everyone knew it was complete dogshit? But now that Elden ring became the sacred cow, people just completely ignore the dozens of objectively terrible issues with it, and instead blame the player for everything? Good times those were. I despise Dsp with a passion, but he is completely right about the camera being awful.
No but he has been told to and was rude and dismissive about it. He refuses to do anything differently, it's why he's terrible at games but especially FromSoft games.
Dsp is not even hard to criticise, yet your incredible defense for the objectively terrible lock-on is "Don't use the bad mechanic"? Come on man. It's Dsp, this should be easy.
The dude clearly watched penguinz0 play thorough, it's not a coincidence that he keeps saying tanking, Charlie was saying the same thing, but not complaining about it.
Tbh, I kinda hate this boss too. The first phase is almost fine, but the second one is just insane. Also, I have a really hard time dodging his attacks, cause some of his attacks are just him biting nearly instantly and my reflexes just aren't good enough for that. And it's also really hard to actually hit the boss with melee weapons, cause he dodges after mos of attacks and if you eun and hit him, you're almost guaranteed to get hir back (and it's not wortwhile trade). I'll definitely beat this boss after gathering more upgrade items, but I already gathered quite a bit...
God his magic build is terrible he really did only beat Eldin Ring do to the inherent strength of magic builds, just look at his Talismans all of them are worthless for what he's trying to do. Erdtree's favor: Even if this is the +2 the stats it give are so small (4%hp/10%stam/8%weight) that it'll never be worth it. Radagon Icon: With only 18 dex this only puts him at 48 dex for cast speed well below the cap of 70 and he rarely goes for spells anyway. Marika's soreseal: He literately gets nothing from this except the -10% armor reduction, he should be using the Magic Scorpion Charm instead. Graven-Mass Talisman: Pointless by itself giving only 8% boost to spells only good if using Magic Scorpion Charm as well. Edit: Another thing is that he is using Lusat's staff which is only worth using if you have 80+ int, if you don't have 80+int you should be using the Carian Regal Scepter since it'll be in the same damage range but won't be increasing spell costs.
why the fuck this guy don't expect bosses to have super armor??? like super armor is basically mandatory for a boss to not be spammed to death in action games.
It is actually incredible just how BAD little Philly the Pigroach is at every game ever made. You almost have to intentionally be this terrible to fail at everything in life.
His thirst for power is ever so prevalent He could not cheese with magic and the moonlight He thought he was evolving, but merely shedding his skin to a new coat
Who tf streams and compulsively describes his mistakes in real time while giving any excuse possible and expects not to get guff. Blind viewers must love the content, he's great
I don't even play these games but i assume he's too impatient? He fights the same boss a dozen times or more and he keeps doing two attacks when clearly the boss takes advantage of that and slaps his ass during or shortly after the second attack he tries doing. Do ONE attack then dodge?
@@asianapollo002 Yes, not knowing how to go to the options menu and turning off or lowering the music. Well, for Phil it's a challenge because he is challenged.
Yeah, I know the frustration of changing your build or weapon etc and realising 'huh, I need to get good and avoid being hit and learning the patterns because no weapon change is going to going to give me so much damage that I can dominate a boss in that fashion'. And apparently the DLC is genuinely tough, so Phil is definitely going to hit a huge wall, like he originally did in Bloodborne DLC the first time. Inb4 a possible ragequit and future 'Elden Ring DLC redemption run by DSP'.
I was about to ask what "super armour" was, because I'd never heard the term in relation to Elden Ring, or...any game really. Thankfully Philliam explained that it was a term he'd made up and wrongly applied to instances where both his lack of skill and his lack of understanding of core gameplay concepts was the problem.
Super armor is when you hit the enemy and they don’t stagger. It’s usually a fighting game term whereas rpg’s usually use the term hyper armor to describe this mechanic.
@@michaelmiguelicutti2829 I mean I'm not an elite hard core pro gamer, but I have been gaming for something like 20+ years now and I'd honestly never heard it before lol It being a fighting game term makes so much sense given Phil's psychogical hangups though.
Though I'm loathe to agree with Phil, it's disappointing that FromSoft have made spamming jump-attack the optimal way to beat most bosses in Elden Ring. Miyazaki should be locked in a room and forced to watch Phil mindlessly beating boss after boss with jump-attacks until he learns his lesson.
@@raptorface2810 Sure, pal. Go watch DSP destroying Morgott with jump attack spam, or Malenia with weapon art spam. Pure pigroach skill, right there. Definitely not an optimal strategy that a monkey could learn.
@@raptorface2810 That isn't a response. Optimal doesn't mean fun, it just means effective, and there objectively more effective ways to beat these bosses than others. The game is so badly balanced, every boss can be trivialised with no effort.
@@milkinobama8160 Because in the DLC, the main bosses rarely stand still enough to do it. And When they do, it's often better to just spam light attacks to build up status effects quicker.
They used AI i see differences in the behaviors off all enemy types in the main game. Sometimes they just circle around me doing nothing, the other one is going full ham on me and seems to know which attacks u are using. Before that the enemy's had a pool of ability's that they use depending on the distance and altitude u are and calculating which properbility it has to hit u with this skillsets. Now the AI knows what u are up to.
I mean Phillian does seem like the type of guy that is 50 and has arguments over Star Trek VS Star Wars. However, he always loses and complains about those arguments because he never has a good argument to begin with.
Phillip is the guy that argues fervently that the Lwaxana Troi episodes of Next Generation aren’t as bad as they clearly are, and ends up getting assaulted by normally docile nerds because he can’t keep his dumb mouth shut.
Pretty funny DSP thinks that instant attack is bullshit but Im 100% sure any from boss with that attack could do that. Most bosses have melees they have to do instead of projectiles to spam. Also pretty funny to complain about super armor when the boss is LITERALLY sparking with an attack wind up.
he's still at level 1 metally if he needs the camera in a souls game, then again dsp was never a fan of these games he just wants to press L2 with an op build meant to cheese
At 15:00, for a moment, he was almost going to blame himself for dying due to lack of stamina, but then continued to point out the "new attack" that happened after he'd already died as an excuse to keep dunking on the game. Pathetic.
Dang it's wild. E xpac has been out this long and NOBODY has made it past "teleport electric slash", it can't be staggered! Phillip is leading the charge in to the most buggy content /s (His inputs were failing, I'm sure)
Him just spamming ash of war over and over and over and failing is just so funny to me.😅 try a different weapon na that’s crazy try a different strategy na crazy
@@BattleBro77 they're as easy as you make them. In all games except Sekiro, you can just overlevel. And there is an abundance of cheese in each and every game. If you play without a guide and don't level like crazy, they're generally fairly challenging. At least, they are for me. A lot of people use guides on their first playthrough, not realizing that half the challenge is figuring things out for yourself. Of course it's easier if you already know everything.
After years of playing Souls games he still doesn't understand that: a) the game doesn't back you in a corner, you yourself put the character there; b) if the camera is locked to an enemy it will not move to a diferent perspective magically; c) we know the games are intended to have delayed inputs - it's not a good feature, but it's not a bug - and this bozo complains in every single game as if he doesn't know this
As a Int build myself watching how this dude plays and his patetic excuses gots me screaming at my screen! Like dude change your strategy learn how to DODGE!!! He is his biggest enemy here
