people don't realize that phil was never good. even if he managed to beat somebody in a single set, increase the number of sets and he just gets exponentially washed as people figure him out like a book because he's got a low iq and doesn't understand the feinting of strategy. he played during a time when limited number of players would show up and there wasn't a grand barrier to entry. if you held open qualifiers for any fighting game in the past 10 years and only allowed genuine high elo players, he wouldn't even qualify for a group stage or main event. lol

I think it's like one of those battered wife situations where dsp abuses them, they are either too dumb or have no self esteem, so they stay and take the abuse thinking that this is normal. Then you add in that they dig their heels in when anyone tries to tell them that this isn't normal. There is no help for them until they are ready to accept that they don't want to be abused and exploited anymore. It's sad, but I have zero sympathy for it anymore.

I've been saying this since he started playing this game at release. I'm not a fighting game player, but out of every since complaint that doesn't make sense, this one is probably one of the worst. How could you tell someone "I know what they're doing" and not stop them from doing it. That and he spends no time in practice and expects to just "know" on the fly. 😂😂😂

Just to be clear, DSP has a basic misunderstanding of how buffering and inputs work in SF6 and has convinced himself that rollback netcode is an algorithmic and predictive system that will get more expected commands correct (this is wrong). What he is saying just doesn't make sense. So when he constantly has problems executing wakeup moves (after he has been hit), SF6 makes you wait to buffer until after a block stun state. Thus you have to delay wakeup invincible reversals or any wakeup super. Also, the way that he uses Blanka turns him into a lower tier character. Blanka has excellent buttons and one of the best 3 level 2 supers in the game, so good in fact, that most pros do not use the level 3 much and rather setup the level 2 which drains the opponent of drive meter. But Phil is unable to use the systems in the game to his advantage.

To be fair, ltg made it to diamond in sfv and was a way better player, now he’s a bit worse but still miles ahead of dsp, but again, most of you dont play or cant play street fighter per usual, yet you still have crazy opinions for no reason but biased against players you dont like.
I love how, when he got a yellow card for quitting too many matches too close together, he said "This is stupid, what if you just have a bad connection that day and it dropped during the match?" But when it's a Luke or Ken beating his ass into oblivion, suddenly every bad connection is intentional and only in place so they can "cheat" the game.
I feel like DSP cannot literally cannot accept watching the lose screen so he has to talk and talk endlessly over it and completely cloud his thoughts with dissonance so that he can reboot himself. It's like how LTG does the homescreen during supers and loss screens but DSP just has to audibly and mentally block it instead.
Start of stream: "I'm glad I've started using level 2 super, it's really good." Rest of 2 hours of stream level 2 super was never used again and his boring Blanka was back to same boring reversal super mashing as always. But remember, he wants to play to learn.

I'm still trying to figure out why people just mashing jabs hasn't been the top strategy at all the tournaments. By dsp's logic, the top matches should just be two top tier players mashing jabs at one another because it's an unbeatable strategy. Wonder why that isn't the case... I guess everyone is just terrible compared to a guy who claims he can see patterns but can't beat them.

I finally got around to trying sf6 and it makes this so much funnier. I play on wifi, have my match settings to take pretty much anyone, and i use a beat up xbox controller. I barely notice lag, only occasionally feel like i input something and it doesn't come out, and most matches involve both players adapting to the other in real time. I didn't doubt it, but dsp really is a lunatic with this game. Phil is a regular Dave qui-goatie

That luke cancels his heavy charge punch into lvl3 when he sees phils stupid drive impact, this is a great cancel in a short period and its a knowledge check against luke but dsp says he won because of a lag spike and proceeds to block him, what an insufferable scrub

Fact english bowman during medieval times refused to learn the crossbow when it was invented as they felt it was cheating in that it required no training anyone could learn it with little effort.

The complete lack of critical thinking is so disturbing. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I haven't had moments in fighting games where I kept thinking my opponent was an absolute scrub, or thinking that my loss was undeserved, but I, like many others playing this genre, manage to sit on it after the match is over. Obviously I'm doing something wrong if this "scrub" is beating me so badly. But not Phil, this guy just lacks that. Just earlier I was watching some of the old videos on this channel, a few days back I was even watching his SF4 footage. How has he been capable of remain this oblivious for so long? How? The answer is obvious, he's high on his own farts, and has been for years, but that doesn't make it any less disturbing. I've been following his "career" for a while now and it really feels like watching a car crash in slow motion, I just can't look away. At the end of the day, I'm happy he exists, we all need an example of what not to be like, and plus, thanks to him, every video game dev out there has an easy target for their faulty game copies and laggy rollback netcodes. You know those input displays that speedrunners have to show what buttons or keys they press during gameplay? Would be hilarious to see Phil put one of those up.
Someone suggested that he said that would not work cuz it's SF netcode dropping his inputs.. Keep in mind that SF6 has an amazing replay system that record locally your inputs so if you drop something you can go and check, if screen freeze from drive rush and eat your inputs will be there also, so theres zero excuses for him.
It really puts things into perspective how lucky we are that we didn't end up as the world's biggest loser. That honor was found to be only fitting for Philip Burnell according to a heavenly detractor.
