Yeah these v6s can take a ton and keep on going... They come with forged cranks and steel rods with billet 4 bolt mains stock. I supercharged my 2005 Tucson with the 2.7, it makes around 375whp and 348ft-lb with the stock internals. I have a good tune on it, always ran synthetic oil. Awd helps a ton with traction. Its a shame im stuck with the 4 speed auto. It does have a lifter tick when cold starting it, but I have almost 250,000kms on it. And here I am tripling the power hahaha. Always been a Hyundai fan since I bought my Tucson in 2005. In surprised people are just now finding out how good their cars are. I rarely have to work on my too, only oil changes. No rust too, I didn't even under coat it. I live in Ottawa so the winters aren't the kindest on our cars. If you ever turbo your sonata make sure you tune it right or you'll have to get better pistons rather than the stock cast ones.

He says it'll make around 390hp at 24psi. All on stock internals. I haven't changed anything on my Tucson other than putting the supercharger on it. Haven't had any problems even though I've been driving it for 13 years now. The AWD might not like the additional power, but its cheap to replace and puts the power down nicely without wheelspin. It's a great platform to build on. I smoke a lot of people in the Tucson. Beat my buddy who drives an STI haha.

Jonathan Keith the Early model Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonatas used a version of the 4g63. I didn’t believe it when I had a 2005 Optima until it needed a new clutch and flywheel. Kia wanted $1700 for a flywheel. Ended up getting it at Oreilly auto parts for cost which was $551 in 2011. Now the cost is $949 at Oreilly.

This engine is a variation of the 4g64 galant motor and it will accept 4g63 parts. It’s a 2.4l just like the 4g64. A lot of people swap the dohc heads onto the 4g64 instead of the evo head

I have a 2005 xg350 myself, internally the 3.5l and 3l from the 3000gts vr4s are all the same from my understanding, as in you can use all forged 6g7 2/3/4 parts. All interchangeable. Could probably use the turbi manifolds also. But at this point in time a custom big single would be best. Also the trans ain't that bad it's a f5a51, porsche designed dual gated tiptonic, decent. But yeah a 5/6speed would he nuts in this car lol
