Dude! Here is some props to Mom for having your back! Thanks for the video! My Sigs all have a 'sticky' feeling slide action too, but they are reliable so far. My 'smooth' action gun is my Walther PDP-F 4" (I might even get the 3.5"). Smooth like butter! Great job and hope to see if you ever get a PDP-F review in your library!
That is such a coincidence. I have the 4 inch I use for my home defense and I love it so much I think I’m getting the 3.5 inch. It is the most fun gun I’ve shot and compared to a micro nine it’s a breeze to shoot.
Yes it did. I got hit in the forehead with brass twice in this video from the direct ejection. Other times it went upward and bounced back down around me… but it ran! Gotta respect it. Respect
Man that was awesome, thanks!! I’ve never compared the p365 vs Hellcat, but I shot the hellcat pro back to back with the p365xl, and I much preferred the Sig for its better recoil management, and smoother feel. I wanted that Pro to be THE ONE, but so far I’ll take the XL, even with its 3 fewer rounds.
@@spnfirearms I probably still should have kept that Pro though…I’ve almost bought another one several times already. Bud’s has had some great deals on them with a red dot included.
No problem man. That flashlight is just perfect! And I know I was shocked.. haha it’s a first for my 29. We will do 500 rounds through that in a row in a video as well! Respect
Nice recoil control. You're blessed to have your wife and mom helping out with this test. I saw a video with a guy that chono'd the hellcat vs P365 and others and the hellcat produced significantly higher velocities than the others. Probably why the hellcat is a bit "snappier". I have to the think the barrels are different in some way causing a more complete powder burn.
I have both the 365 and the Hellcat and both have been reliable after 1200 rounds through the 365 and 800 through the Hellcat. I put a Galloway precision 18lb guide rod spring in my Hellcat and now it shoots just as smooth as my 365. I bought my 365 over a year after it first came out so mine didn't have any issues like the first batch they came out with. Thanks for the video there junior u do a great job pumping these videos out I haven't seen any other gun tuber who makes 2-3 videos in one day, good job.
What works for some doesn’t always work for others. I found the P365 to be a better shooter between the 2. And found that neither shoots as well as my G43 for me. All three are great and will run for most! Thanks SPN for another great video!
Both are good shooting guns, but in terms of build quality and ultimate reliability, the Hellcat is the proper choice. There are just too many things wrong with Sig USA to choose anything they produce as a reliable defense firearm.
We are truly fortunate to be living in a time where we have access to a wide array of reliable semi-automatic handguns. These modern striker fired pistols get better and better as they are fired with more rounds.
Bro, I've been watching a lot of videos about the 365 and Hellcat. I was kinda leaning towards the Hellcat but still somewhat indecisive between the two. Your video just made me decide to go with the hellcat. Great video and for the cause. 👊
Dang bro, now you're making wanna carry my Hellcat again... Like you said i just have to practice with it. I honestly bought major stuff to soften the recoil and still really didn't give it a fair shake... thanks bro, badass video as always...
No problem man, lots more to come! And they run which is the biggest thing to me. They go bang when it need it to regardless of ammo brand or type which is rare. The snappiness I just deal with by shooting it a lot. Respect
That U notch seems so right, really like that. Pure respect this was fun. Im in California Friends in Texas Family in Florida Im trying to move 4 real 2A Respect and Freedom.
You must be really comfortable with that hellcat, every shot was flat. Looks like you got a great grip. Almost every other person I’ve seen shoot it has had to reposition after a few shots to keep flat
These smaller pistols weren’t around when I was growing up so to see this new tech is pretty badass. I’ve been looking into original hellcat. Definitely picking one up . I love recoil so Im good.
Great video bro!! What gun do you carry the most out of all your guns? I carry a p365 never had any issues out of them I have a x macro, xl and a regular p365 optics ready
Its always good to test your guns to see what they like , and to get practice. you can spend a lot of money and still get a bad gun every once in a while even with "the most reliable gun". could be ammo too, ammo has caused more problems than the actual guns in some cases, most of time my guns have liked winchester white box 115gr FMJ, but I had a few jams out of a glock 17 that had no problems with other ammo. Have also seen winchester 230gr FMJ white box that the bullets would get pushed in some like there was not enough crimp on the bullet, in my colt 1911s. Thanks for the video !
yooo that hellcat man looks great i picked one up yesterday and i cant wait to get it out to the range an try it out lol this thing may end up being my edc instead of my glock 26 ive been carrying for about 2 years lol 😁
Awsome. Recently, I bought a CR 920. The feeding and doubled feeding malfunctions are very frequent. The gun is very accurate and feels very good, but the braking period seems to be a long one. I have shot over 1500 rounds with it.
Dang.. yeah that shouldn’t be happening! I would call them. It’s not the model with the barrel that causes all the malfunctions right? I know they fixed that but maybe yours still has that different shaped barrel?
I know the ammo is expensive, but could you do another vid like this with the hellcat pro and maybe a 43x or something? Its awesome watching your channel grow, thanks for the awesome content
I got 300 rounds through my hellcat I noticed myself fighting recoil and shooting low left after 150rnds i started letting it do its thing and sure made it much easier to hit the target
I bought the 365 primarily because of its size and trigger prior to that, I had carried Glocks, M&Ps, Sig Classics, and S&W revolvers. I’d fired a Hellcat when a buddy had acquired one. Both of us had issues with the slide not locking back until switching to a “thumbs down” revolver grip. So it was consistently us rather than the gun. Other than that, I haven’t haven’t heard of the Hellcat having any major problems. I noted my 365 had a lot of packing grease making the magazines sticky. Cleaned all that out before taking it to the range. In the first couple of hundred rounds, I had one each slide not going back into battery when shooting one hand only - both right and left hands. At around 500, the front sight module fell out. Sig replaced it under warranty.
@@spnfirearms for whatever it’s worth, probably happened to me with Glocks and extended slide stops more than I care to admit. After I went to Glock Armorer class, i diagnosed a lot of that as bad springs and worn followers. Replacing said parts seemed to take care of of the issue. I was shooting a lot at the time. But pistols fit people different. No “one size fits all.
I'm sure a lot of people will be surprised by the reliability of the P365... but I've just never had any problem with them being unreliable... and the vast majority of people I know that own them have them run perfectly reliable also.
Thank you so much man. A portion of this will go to my cousin. He is a good kid, works hard, smart and would like to see him at his high school competition! Respect and thank you sir. It means a lot.
Great video. I've been thinking about getting this hellcat i just have to convince my wife as to way i need another Gun 😂😂. But after watching this video im getting one . Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷.
Here we go!!!!🎉 I went shooting yesterday ran through 300 round or so in the glock 17 absolutely flawless with all my kci and ets extended mags I was super happy. The kci 33rd mags need anti tilt followers bad. Loading one of them was rough but it still ran 100 percent but not rapid fire I was at the indoor range. I cant wait to test my kci mags hard when I get outdoors soon. I have had nothing but excellence out of my ets mags in complete honesty. I also ran through 7 magazines of 223/556 in my ar with its new set up. 16"radical socom upper is a monster and very gassy but im inclined to leave it alone since it ran flawless and it has warranty. Ate up all the mags I had loaded for years with god knows what random old a$$ ammo. Im back on the rifle train 💯. Cannot wait to get back out again. Im good on ammo for like two or three more range trips
I didn’t want to jump on the hellcat wagon but I think Im adding one to the collection now. Any ideas how to write this purchase off as business expense on my rental properties??
Cool video . That’s a lot of shooting.. the jam with the G29 was heartbreaking. Maybe a separate video with the 29 using different mags , different ammo etc to see if that was a fluke or what .
I’m officially 500 rounds into my hellcat after buying it on my birthday late march, so far my only complaint or regret was buying the all black instead of sliver slide 😂
@spnfirearms been waiting for this one. I have a Hellcat Pro that I absolutely love. I justed picked up a Tisas PX9 optic ready version through Dunhams for 289.99. It's a big gun, but it feels great in the hand. Gonna take it to the range tomorrow and break it in.
Shield Plus 9mm, FN Reflex or Hellcat??? I'm looking for a new EDC to alternate from my G26. Appreciate the review. Thanks Mom & SPN Wife!!! Happy Easter Y'all...
Hell yeah, great video. Is the Glock 26 your absolute favorite out of all the 9mm tinyguns? Also your mom is incredibly based for loading all those mags. Hope you at least gave her a mag loader lol
Yes I bought her a brand new speed loader before the video! And she is the best. And yes the 26/27 are my favorite. You can turn the 27 into 9mm using a conversion barrel as wel. Respect
@@spnfirearmsawesome. I just started carrying a 26 instead of my S&W 642. I have a ton of trigger time on the 19 and 17 so it just made sense. The Hellcat does seem appealing but I’m happy I made the decision on the 26. Thanks for all your videos brother you helped me decide. I like how you actually OWN and shoot the guns you’re talking about, instead of just being another shilltuber.
Any mechanical device can have a malfunction. Sounds like your Glock 29 has been completely reliable in the past. Looking forward to your future videos with comments on this 1,000 round test.
I will be doing one with my 29! It’s been absolutely solid so not sure what happened. The round was going at an odd angle when it failed to feed. Very interesting. Thank you for watching and lots more to come! Respect
Idek bro, the hellcat is fucking incredible, I’ve rented it 2x and they got one at the shop for 400, I can’t get to it fast enough, how much to get an optic ready slide or have it milled?
The range by my house just brought some of those bad boys in for rental. My first time shooting the 365 and hellcat pro. I felt less recoil in 365. The associate was surprise at my comment. I recorded my shootings, and even in video, 365 looks less snappy. It also feels a bit smoother motion. I couldnt rapid fire tho, not allowed to. So my experience isnt as valid. But my grouping was better with hellcat. Maybe because hellcat had red dot on it. I shoulda put more rounds in 365. Ah well, another reason to buy another one. 😅😅
Respect bro!! But you need a new mic for shooting vids it cuts out right after shooting and can't hear anything you say. Or your gonna need to remember to pause right after firing then talk the mic takes a little to come back.
The hellcat is snappy lol it’s my edc I’ve probably put 1200 through it but it is a small gun it’s gonna be alittle snappy but for what it is no it’s not to bad. I added an antimatter wing and now I never have an issue keep my red dot on target before it would take a short second to find it after the first few shots or two but the again I’m new to dots. Overall I love it
That was an awesome video and as a Hellcat owner I feel my purchase was definitely justified by this and all the other videos you have done on it! I wouldn't blame the malfunction on the 29 honestly, I think it was the ammo causing the malfunction. But hey if you want to do a test on the 29 and run 500-1000 round through it, I definitely watch the video!
Thanks man. And yes while making this video I learned a lot about both handguns when compared. the hellcat just runs and runs and runs. And yes I think we might make one on the 29! Even though it’s the funny red tipped federal ammo and the round was sort of crooked when it got stuck. It was so stuck tap and rack did nothing. Respect!
