Very nice - well done fly and presentation. I like the black background, less distracting, and more focused on the fly. The caddis color is deadly... had a 63 fish day in February with a fly just like this without softhackle.

A variation on a green rock worm. It's not a bad thing. It's one of my go-to patterns.

just getting into fly fishing and trying to learn all the different patterns. Is this a dry or wet fly?

Good looking fly but of course old patterns still catch fish. "New" patterns aren't better, just new.
