The mylar price looks like no bug, but is instead an attractor pattern. This fly grabs trout’s attention to get them to strike or just notice the other fly on your nymph rig. It makes for a great dropper fly with the tungsten bead and added weight form the wire. Been watching your videos for awhile and I very much like them and have used some of these patterns with great success so far. One piece of constructive criticism, having a lighter colored wooden background (think plywood or 2x12) would help bring out more of what is going on in your tying videos. Also a detailed materials list for each pattern would be siiiiick Keep up the great work!

I’m sooo happy I found your channel and will definitely be picking this up as a hobby and passion. I used to be a dental tech building tooth’s and veneers and I found it soothing when you’re so hyper focused on something so tiny but so detailed. Oh and I’ll be waiting for that kit! Glad you found the videos! By the sounds of it fly tying will be perfect for you. It very much puts you in the zone, or your own little world while making them. very unique form of art many dont know about. Happy these videos are spreading the word and gaining interest. I think I should have a good beginners kit out in a few months if all goes right.

#flies I've never had much luck fishing nymphs, but that doesn't stop me from trying. (I know it's an issue of technique.) I'll often give up and swing a wet or a streamer through the pool. ;-)

Thanks for your feed back! I do love hearing what people want to see and am willing to reconsider anything in these videos to make them more useful for people. I will work on doing that in the future. It's the part I like least of creating videos so I often skip it. However, as far as the size goes I leave that out intentionally. It comes down to what species you are after. For example I like to using thing in a size 6 for steelhead, a size 10-14 as an attractor pattern (this one was a size 12) and a size 14-20 as a caddis imitation.
